What are we living for?
Dear life, you [Latest Topic: I hate love;]The only reason that's worth living for that I can think of is for my family.

This is probably the best question I have received in the history of questions. Of course I don’t necessarily rank my questions based on its grandeur and prominence, but that’s beside the point.
This is something that I have thoroughly thought out and am fully capable of answering.
When it comes to our overall purpose in life, I believe we have none. However, that is simply due to the fact that I am more on the scientific side myself. And with this, I transition to state that there are ultimately two sides to this question: the scientific aspect and the more “religious” aspect.
The technical and logical perspective of a mere organism’s purpose can be deemed as unimportant and miniscule. We are but one species, on one planet, in one universe, in one galaxy of many galaxies. As individuals, we cannot change the general nature of things, like gravity. We are ultimately under nature’s mercy and are not very influential when it comes to the big picture.
Nevertheless, there is the narrow-minded perspective. Although the word “narrow-minded” has a negative connotation, I am merely suggesting that those who are on such a side focus on the here and the now. We are on the planet Earth. We are surrounded by billions of people who have unique lives. And all of these people are capable of changing the lives of others around them; thus, we do hold purpose and are capable of creating change.
For example...
Psy.
Psy is simply a rotund, oversized Asian male who has average singing capabilities, but is known worldwide. In the narrow-minded perspective, he has changed many lives in a sense that he has made them laugh or entertained them. In the logical perspective, he is simply one organism of a population and can die just as easily from a typhoon as the next person.
But here lies my overall point: whether you are on the technical or religious side does not matter.
I do believe that as simple organisms, we hold no grand purpose. We were not made to explore the galaxies or create a man-made moon.
However, as people who dream and live irreplaceable lives, we do have a purpose. Our purpose, in this sense, is to carry out a life that has an impact on those around us (hopefully you wish to leave a positive mark on the world...).
And if you still aren’t convinced that you have a purpose, Anon Negative, well..
What exactly do you have to lose?
If you were given a life to live, whether it is insignificant or not, you might as well live it to the fullest.
Vicheko placed her reading glasses slowly onto the table. Her hands were now clasped together, her elbows pushed onto the old, wooden table.
She slowly released the air within her lungs and smiled. It was a trivial smile that simply indicated her satisfaction with her answer.
Pushing herself away from the table, she leaned back on the green-cushioned chair and placed her feet up onto the table.
“And there you have it folks,” she ended.
I apologize I couldn't write as much as I usually do, but I feel the answer was quite adequate. c:
So readers, what side are you on?
