Sing-Kyu

Stalk-Kyu

Kyuhyun's mood was down. How could he be happy, if your love basically said, there was a different person he likes. The increasing promotion work also didn't help to cheer Super Junior's maknae up. In front of the camera, he was smiling and acting like nothing was wrong -luckily he was a good actor-, but behind the camera and especially in the dorm, he was different than his usual, self-confident self. Nearly no eating, nearly not speaking, nearly not coming out of his room at all. Eventhough his fellow Super Junior members tried to cheer him up and get him into as much activities as possible, Kyuhyun's mood didn't change over weeks. Which concerned Leeteuk the most was the phonecall with Changmin, who was Kyuhyun's best friend and knew a lot more about him than everyone else. 'He may seem angry, but actually, he's just really sad. I mean, he cried in front of me and that says a lot, right?', Changmin's words were spinning in the leader's mind a lot. "I should really get some extra work for Kyuhyun. Distraction can probably change his mind for a bit.", Leeteuk mumbled to himself, as he was on his way to the SM mainbuilding.

Knocking on Kyuhyun's door, Leeteuk entered the maknae's room. It was later that evening and Kyuhyun was sitting in front of his beloved laptop, playing Starcraft like always. "What do you want?", the younger one said without even looking up. "I was talking with Lee Sooman today and he told me, he wants you and Seohyun to sing a song together on a music show as extra-promotion. It will be quite stressful, because he already wants you two to perform that song next week already, but he believes in you and her and so do I. I already have the lyric with me, so you can memorize it.", Leeteuk was explaining and putting the paper-sheets with the notes and lyric down on Kyuhyun's bed. "Ah", was Kyuhyun's only respond to that and kept on playing. Letting out a sigh, seeing his plan with the distracting already failing, the leader left the room again, hoping, that the maknae would at least do a good job at the performance. Around midnight, Kyuhyun shut down his laptop. A little yawn escaped as he was standing up and walking to his bed. Changing into his pyjama, he looked down at himself. 'At least, I'm loosing some weight like this. The fans started to complain anyway that I gained some weight lately...Thank you, Ryeowook, for making me loose weight.', he thought with a sad smile and pulled his t-shirt over his head. As he was laying down, he heard some quiet rustling from under him and jumped up again. He just then remembered, that Leeteuk have brought him some papers earlier and apparently had layed them down on his bed. Letting out a sigh, he picked up the papers and sat down on his bed again. "Lovesong without you", he read out the title loud. Fate really wasn't on his side lately. Letting his eyes fly over the lyric, his mood droped with every word. Sentences like 'You're the only one for me eventhough I know you don't even see me.' or 'You beside me is really nice, but knowing that you don't like me like I like you hurts a lot more than I thought.' felt like they were directly written from his own heart. Finally laying down in his bed, he tapped on his cheeks in surprise. He didn't realize, that tears were running down his face while reading the lyric. He quickly wiped his tears away and pulled his blanked over his head, hoping, he could block all thoughts with it and find sleep.

One week later, the special stage was taking place. Kyuhyun was wearing a simple, black suit, which made him look chick and classy. Seohyun next to him in a pretty, black dress was in a talkative mood: "Ahhh, I'm so nervous. It's been a while since we were standing on the same stage together, right, oppa? Don't make me look like I can't sing, okay? I think, I'll actually do a pretty good job here and so should you! I can act as well and get into that sad feeling, okay?! Everything like we planned it during the rehersals, okay? No pranking during like shows!", she talked really quickly. "Yeah, yeah, whatever SNSD's princess maknae wants", Kyuhyun answered in an played annoyed mood and smiled at her. Kyuhyun was actually happy about having her company: Seohyun was talking so much when it came to work-related things and you have to listen to every of her words to keep up and answer her properly. And this was, what he needed: mind-occupying distraction. "Okay, SM's maknae-duo is next. Please get your microphones and get to your positions", a staff-worker interrupted their talk. Both of them nodded, grabbed their mics and went up on the still dark stage. The MCs started a little bit of talking about the upcoming song and the performace of 'Lovesong without you' began. The quiet intro let both of the singers fall into the mood of the song. Kyuhyun's mind went full with thoughts of Ryeowook. Why did the lyrics have to perfectly fit his situation?! He started to sing automatically, looking into the audience like he always used to do. He didn't know, they would be coming, but in the audience were a few of his groupmembers for his support. And suddenly a shiver was running down his back. He caught sight of Ryeowook, who was standing next to Donghae. He couldn't take his eyes away from him: Ryeowook had changed his haircolor and -cut in the time he was barely in the dorm because of the buzy practice for this stage, and in his opinion, Ryeowook was looking -if that was possible- even better than before and he was looking directly at him. Kyuhyun kept looking into Ryeowook's eyes, which were shining for him like two stars. The moment of Ryeowook crashing Kyuhyun's heart was running through his mind again and again, making him feel like his heart was getting pressed together by all the feelings and he had to fight a bit against his tears. Kyuhyun was lucky that his singing was at a level, where everything related to singing like saying the right words or hitting the right note was automatic, or else he would have a lot of problems of concentrating on all of this. After the song had finished, Kyuhyun was suprised at how breathless he was. He was breathing hard like he just had run a marathon and his hand, he was holding his microphone in, felt like he held it way to hard for the whole time. Kyuhyun and Seohyun went off the stage. "Oppa!!! I hate you!", she nearly screamed as they were in their backstage-room again and slapped Kyuhyun playfully on his arm. "I told you to  not make me look like I can't sing or act!!! And what did you do?! Exactly that!! You did too well", Seohyun whined and left the room with a pouty face. "What? I didn't do anything differently. I did everything like we rehearsed it.", Kyuhyun was defending himself. "Really? If you rehearsed like that with Seohyunnie, why don't you ever do such a good job when you rehearse with us?", Leeteuk said a bit hurt as he entered the backstage-room along with Donghae, Eunhyuk, Yesung, Sungmin and Ryeowook, who all were here for Kyuhyun's support. Kyuhyun's eyes instantly looked at Ryeowook. 'This new haircolor really fits him well. And the cut makes him look so adorable.', he thought and a little smile appeared on his face. "I didn't actually expect you to do so well. I don't have to praise your singing-technique, you know by yourself, you do a pretty good job there, but the feeling of pain in your voice was just perfect. It sounded like you were really living through all those feelings. And your stare into the audience at exactly one point for the whole time gave the whole performance a total different level. Really, this pained feeling was totally outstanding.", Yesung said with a bright smile on his face, totally fascinated by the performance. Kyuhyun looked suprised. 'Did I really do so well, that even Yesung is satisfied and not to say happy with my singing? Probably it was because of the point I was staring at....', the youngest was thinking and quickly glanced at Ryeowook again, who was explaining Eunhyuk, what Yesung meant with his words. A pat on his shoulder made him look at Sungmin. "You really did well, Kyu! I would say, that was your best solo-performance up to now. What do you think about drinking wine tonight in celebration of this awesome stage?", Sungmin smiled and looked at his friend with big eyes. Kyuhyun couldn't help but smile at his friend. "Sure, but we drink one of your bottles tonight!", he responded to his friend, which made the older one whine a bit. 'And here we have another helping point of having my heart broken: It makes me sing pain-related songs better. Thank you, Ryeowook...', Kyuhyun was thinking with another sad smile on his face.
