Confession

Why did I fall in love with you?

Jin sighed as he entered his first period class. He headed straight to his desk which is located farthest from the dusty chalkboard. He moved his glance on the window beside him, overviewing the wide baseball field on a sunny Monday morning.

"Yo Jin 'sup?"  Yamapi, practically the only person Jin speaks to, greeted him as soon as he noticed his friend arrived. Jin shifted his glance to Yamapi and smirked slightly.

"Ohayou ne." Jin muttered coldly under his breath and soon enough, he hovered off his sight from his friend. Yamapi wiggled his eyebrows but managed to show off a smile. [ohayou=good morning]

"Ne, ne, ne. Why're you always trying to act cool?" Yamapi jokingly claimed as he patted Jin's back and returned to his seat after then.

"This has always been me." Jin inwardly thought as he heaved an exasperated sigh. "Ever since she left." He added as he agreed on his thoughts with a slightly moving nod.

"Are you sure about this?" Michiko asked Kyara as they slowly walked together towards Class 4-B. Kyara shuddered as she closed her eyes firmly.

"I have to do this Michiko-chan." She assured her friend. "Akanishi senpai will graduate in a few months ahead. This is apparently my last chance." By that, Kyara inhaled deeply as they reached the classroom door.

"Ganbatte ne!" Michiko cheered, making Kyara rather ironically nervous. [ganbatte ne=good luck]

The noise of the class muffled down as soon as the classroom door opened. Jin beamed as he recognized the girl.

"You." He inwardly uttered. The girl roamed her sight around, apparently searching for someone she knows. She held her breath and smiled slightly as soon as she laid her eyes on Jin's location.

Jin shivered, not because of something unpleasant, but rather because of a tingling feeling this girl was sending him. It was unusual. It was weird. It was extraordinary. Definitely foreign.

"That bakanishi." The girl giggled thoroughly in a whisper as a brighter smile crept up on her face. She swallowed her nervousness before taking heavy slow steps towards the guy she had met a few nights ago. [baka=idiot/stupid; bakanishi=baka+akanishi^^]

Ever since that night, she couldn't help but to think of him. Moreover, she couldn't believe that she'd fallen in love at first sight because for some reason, she didn't believe in love at all. But considering how that young stranger wouldn't leave her mind at once, she guessed she had no choice but to admit the feelings in and stop fooling around herself.

"Hello Bakanishi-san." She brightly cooed, making the whole class laugh in return. Jin grew a bright red as he knitted his eyebrows at her.

"It's Akanishi. Baka." He huffed at her who was now towering over his sitting figure. She stood across him, only his desk separating them. Jin sat back as he put both his arms behind his neck. Somehow, he was kind of amused.

"I wanna talk to you. about.. something." She said, her innocent brown orbs intently gazed at him.

"What is it?" He inquired nonchalantly, although deep inside, he's interested on what she was about to say.

"Can we..uhmm.. talk privately?" She requested as she looked around her. All the students in his class was apparently, peering and eavesdropping at their conversation.

"No, say it here. now." He told her, which made her pout slightly. Jin's heartbeat raced as she fluttered her eyes repeatedly. "Kawaii ne." He inwardly muttered as he was dazzled by her pretty face. [kawaii=cute]

"A-Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes." A lazy voice told her.

"Fine.. ano.. ano ne.." She stuttered as she couldn't find the words to say. True enough, she'd been practicing this scene mentally for a hundred times already. Her heart hammered madly inside her chest as she clutched on the edge of her skirt and exhaled deeply.

"Suki dayo." She blurted in a snap. [suki dayo=i like you]

Jin almost choked as he looked at her. "N-Nani?" He asked. [nani?=what?]

She pouted in dismay as she slammed a tap on his desk, making him gulped in reaction. She leaned down, making their faces almost an inch closer.

"Deaf, are you? I said I like you." She repeated as she kept herself from wearing off. She couldn't help but to falter at his handsome face that close to hers. Never in her life did she imagined that this moment will come. When she saw his confused expression, she managed to make an eye smile before regaining her composure. A series of Ooooh~'s and Aaahh~'s flooded the classroom. She stood up and straightened her blouse before fishing out something from her pocket.

She put the piece of paper on top of Jin's desk and quickly retreated the scene.

"Was she serious?" Jin followed her with his eyes and as soon as she walked out of the room, he curiously looked at the paper, her heart still thumping wildly at the sudden confession. He couldn't just processed the idea of some random girl confessing her feelings to him because apparently, they both know that they're still strangers to each other.

He read every single word she scribbled in a nice and clean penmanship before folding it neatly. He put it in his pocket after and couldn't help but to smile to himself as he let his thoughts drift him off reality.

"Matsuki Sara-san." He mumbled.
