Week Twenty-Five

“So, how have you been feeling lately, Mrs. Choi?” your doctor asks you and you yawn, stretching your arms in front of you before you rub your eyes tiredly.  It’s not like you haven’t gotten any sleep.  It’s just that the baby inside of you either keeps waking you up with all of his moving, or you have trouble falling asleep because Seung Hyun isn’t here.  When he goes on tour, it’s always hard on you—even before you became pregnant.  You always feel like something terrible is going to happen while he’s away, and it stresses you out so much to the point where you have to stay over at your parents’ house.

     “I feel so fat, doctor,” you whine, and he chuckles, shaking his head.  “But, the baby just keeps moving, and moving.  I swear he’s probably going to be crazy like his father.” You sigh, smiling slightly.

     Once your appointment is over and the driver drops you off at your parents’ home, you frown as you notice a familiar white Bentley parked in the driveway.  Why is Ji Yong here?  The front door opens, answering your question and your eyes widen in glee before you glare at the tall brunette standing in front of the door.  Stomping over to him, you step on his foot and he yelps in pain.  “HONEY, WHAT DID I DO?!” Seung Hyun exclaims and you place your hands on your hips.

     “YOU LEFT ME ALONE WITH MY PARENTS AND A BABY INSIDE OF ME, YOU PUNK!” you scream and he chuckles.  “You think this funny?”

     He shakes his head, his new hair making him look even ier than before, but you erase that thought from your brain.  “You’re just so cute when you’re angry,” he grins, pulling you into a hug and you snort before you wrap your arms around his neck as he looks down on you.  “I missed you,” he murmurs, kissing your forehead.

     “Me too,” you reply.  “Me too.”
