Kerry’s P.O.V

Su-Ji’s brother came into her room while we were finishing off my outfit for tomorrow... HE WAS SO SUPER CUTE!!! AND he winked at me... I nearly died there on the spot.  I hope Su-Ji didn’t catch me staring.  That would not have been a good look.  I helped her tidy up all her clothes and put them back into the wardrobe.

After that, it was lunchtime.  I’d missed breakfast this morning from being on the plane so I was absolutely starving! I have no idea what it was we had, but it was absolutely amazingly delicious although, much to my disappointment, Chin-Ho absent from the table as he was out having dinner with a group of friends.

Once we had eaten our fill, I was given a guided tour of the house and garden by Su-Ji’s mum,

“Why don’t you show Kerry around the neighbourhood and maybe go to the park?” She suggested to Su-Ji, who nodded and linked arms with me.

We wandered along to the end of the street, with Su-Ji pointing out where everyone lived, and turned left following the road down to near a big lake surrounded by trees where we could already hear the chatter of birds and the squeals of children running on the lush green grass.

She led me through a small wooden gate into the park which was almost full of people picnicking and enjoying the beautiful day.  A young girl of about thirteen ran up to us:

“Hey, Su-Ji!”

“Oh, hi! All set for the practice tomorrow?”

“Always!” she smiled and then looked at me.

“Ah! Min-Hee, this is Kerry, Kerry, Min-Hee,” Su-Ji said, smiling.

We smiled at each other shyly before they continued to chat about the band practice for a short while. Before departing, Min-Hee kissed Su-Ji’s cheek and then smiled at me:

“See you tomorrow, maybe?”

“Yeah, sure,” I replied happily.

There was so much to do and see that by 7:00pm, I was so exhausted I could barely lift my legs up the stairs.  Su-Ji had to keep giving me encouraging shoves in the direction of my room.  She handed me a pair of pyjamas and a toothbrush, finally said goodnight and shut the door behind her; my eyes were heavy with the lack of sleep as I struggled into the jammies.  I then lifted my weary legs into the bed, tossed the toothbrush that had just attempted to impale me into the bathroom and slipped into a deep, unbroken sleep.
