Chin-Ho's P.O.V

Not long after mum had left, I went upstairs and made myself ready for my meeting with Kerry; I wore my good jeans, a casual blue checked shirt over a  white tee-shirt.  I then went out into the garden breathing in the fresh September air.  It was a beautiful day... Perfect for a walk or a lazy day in the sun.

I waited  there on the bench for what felt like an age, slowly becoming restless and anxious:

"Maybe she didn't find my note... Maybe she hasn't woken up yet... Maybe she hates me..."

My thoughts were interrupted by the click of the door handle and the light twinkle of the wind chimes. Kerry stood on the doorstep for a moment before making her way over to sit next to me; I smiled to her in greeting.  She looked absolutely stunning!! Everything about her was perfect and I couldn't keep my eyes off her. 

My arm ached to go around her waist and hold her close but my nerves got the better of me.

"I thought that maybe we could go for a walk round the lake a bit later?" I suggested awkwardly.

She nodded and smiled, chewing her lip a little and then it happened... The words slipped out...
