Those were the last words he’d uttered to me before the accident.  People are always telling me:

“Ha-jin, it’s not your fault, you weren’t even there.”

But I know deep inside, I am the reason he is lying on this hospital bed oblivious to the world.  I shouldn’t have let him go.  I knew all along it was a bad idea.  I shouldn’t be angry… He was just trying to get away for a while, I mean; he had had to go through a lot in the past year…
