Young Sungmin sat himself on a park bench dejectedly and stared up at the darkening sky dismally. It was his 10th birthday, and he had thought that it would be the day to confess his feelings for the pretty Eun Mi. He was badly mistaken and she had rejected him without a second thought, claiming that he wasn't "her type". After pompously declaring that, she rained down her attention to Taemin, the cute boy of the class who just oozed with aegyo. Damn him.

Heartbroken, Sungmin had trudged to the park, his park where he usually went when he was depressed (which was happening a lot lately) and just sat on a park bench to watch the world pass him by. Even though Eun Mi was his first innocent, childish love he vowed never to fall for any other seemingly "beautiful" girl ever again. They were evil in the inside. Evil little girls who just loved cute boys. Damn Taemin again.

It took a while for Sungmin to realize someone had taken a seat next to him. But, being the shy boy he was, he didn't dare to look up and greet the stranger.

"You depressed too?" The person next to him asked. He could only reply with a nod.

"I found out my crush liked my best friend. You?" He felt a pair of eyes on him, but he didn't make eye contact.

"My crush turned me down for the cute boy of the class." He croaked.

A hand ruffled his hair almost affectionately. "I hear ya kid. If you look up, maybe I'll judge whether she was right or not."

Sungmin gathered all the courage he had and looked up to stare into the chestnut brown eyes scrutinizing him. She stared at him for a while in which Sungmin contemplated running away when she finally spoke, "You know. You are a cutie~. I wonder what the girl was thinking. She was SO wrong in not choosing you." She spoke with prideful confidence that stirred the hope in Sungmin.

"You think so?" He meekly asked.

"Of course! But you have things hiding your aegyo from everyone! Like your glasses." She pointed to the big black glasses that Sungmin always wore. "If you replace those with contacts, everyone will have a chance to stare into your eyes."

Sungmin never dared to think about life without his glasses. He hesitantly took them off and gulped. "D-Do I look ok?"

"Aigoo~" She playfully pinched his cheek. He smiled and let out a laugh, the first one since Eun Mi rejected him.

"You should laugh more. Aegyo is enhanced." Sungmin's blurry eyes couldn't see the nice stranger any more so he put back his glasses. The blurry figure in front of him was replaced with her clearly defined figure. He gasped silently. Her sleek black hair pulled back into a side braid and her bangs framing her eyes, brought out her beauty. Suddenly, he didn't know what to say to such a pretty girl.

"I-I-I'm sorry if I bothered you." He stuttered, finding the dirt and grass more interesting in that moment.

"Aigoo~ We'll have to fix that stuttering, won't we? Tell you what: I'll give you lessons on how to be cute to show Eun Mi what a catch she let go. If you meet me here again tomorrow after school, we'll begin, ok?" She asked.

"Are you sure it'll work?" Sungmin asked.

"I'm your noona! I know all about cuteness! I guarantee when I'm done with you girls will be chasing you everywhere! Here!"

She held out pinky and shyly, Sungmin held out his. Together they pinky promised on it.
