Kyuhyun has never felt more inadequate in his life than today, right at this moment, when a very tired-looking Sunny isn't smiling while walking along the park with him.

"You ok?"

He asks for probably the millionth time and cringes at himself for not being able to come up with any other question.

This however, brings a smile to the girl’s face as she looks up at him and says "Why do you keep asking that? Maybe you are not okay."

"No," He counters. "I’m fine. Just that…I’m kind of worried. I just thought that maybe it’s getting too heavy for you."

Sunny stops at a nearby bench and sits down without preamble. "When you get used to it, the weight's not so unwelcome."

Kyuhyun proceeded to sit down beside her and she turned to the side, swinging her legs on his lap, and leaning on the armrest. "Oh, my legs hurt…" Her nose wrinkles in irritation and Kyuhyun thinks it's the cutest thing, though he never says that out loud.

“You’ll ruin my jeans, they’re new!" He says, playfully trying to push her legs off his lap, but she fought for her legs to stay in his lap, shoes and all.

"Eh! it up like a man!" She hits him on the shoulder and she laughs.

"Sunny, your feet are so small." He smiles as he observes the huge difference of the size of his shoes compared to her small ballet flats.

Sunny wiggles her toes and looks at him. "Duh, I'm not some freak who has gigantic feet for such a small frame."

"But your s are gigantic and your tummy is, too." Kyuhyun grins a -eating-grin and becomes the receiving end of a painful kick to his thigh. "Ow!"

"Freakin’ ert!" Sunny protests, trying hard not to laugh but fails miserably. When she has calmed down, she breathes a heavy sigh and leans back. “I miss seeing my feet..."

"Say what?" he asks with a chuckle, like it was the weirdest thing.

"Hey, they're very pretty! And so are my legs, I take good care of them!"

“You already have varicose veins appearing in your legs. Well…just a few of them," He begins. "…at the back of your thighs and your knees, some on your feet…" He trails on as he traces them with his fingers. "But I don't mind. I still think your feet are pretty."

“And it would be better if I were a pair of feet instead?” She replies sarcastically and he smiles, really smiles, at the way this whole thing was going right now.

He honestly thought that it was going to be awkward, with just the two of them together, because he thought he could never have moments Sunny has with Sungmin and Jaejoong, his elder brothers.

She just looked so at ease with them, especially with Sungmin, whom she only met because of this situation at hand.

But it’s like they knew each other their whole life. Sunny and Sungmin were too alike they could pass for twins, save for the fact that Sunny was short and that Sungmin had paler skin.

He observed that even in their quiet moments, she was always happy and Sungmin did not need to go the extra mile (like he did) to strike up a normal and comfortable relationship with her.

"Wah~ I’m sooooo pretty.”

"Huh?"

“So pretty, you can’t even stop staring at me when I’m so round and stressed-looki
