I Know Your Heart
Maybe...just Maybe (KyuSun One-shot and drabble collection){A/N: Ewww. Cheesy title, I’m sorry ;~;}
It was not hard to find Sunny. She was there in her room, sitting on her bed, staring blankly at the outside through the window. The tissue box sat quietly on its place on top of her study table. It was there, alone and unmoved—seemingly useless in this situation, because there was not a single tear that had escaped from Sunny’s eyes. No, not a single drop.
But, that precisely gave them the reason to become more worried. A girl simply does not get over the break-up of a two-year relationship in less than twenty minutes. And this was, for the record, Sunny’s first heartbreak ever. The four of them went in and Sunny turned to them, expecting this sort of talk to eventually come along.
“Baby sis…” Sungmin moved abruptly towards his sister, already pouting sympathetically. “You alright?”
Sunny nodded once. “Things just happen.” She shrugged casually.
“Aww…” Sungmin opened his arms for her, offering a big hug. “Come here.” Sunny gives in to it and leans on her brother’s shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Sunny...” Hyukjae says as he was the one who witnessed the cheating act, not too long ago.
“Hey…” she looked up at him. “You know it’s not your fault.”
“That turd!” Sungmin rolled his eyes at the thought of Sunny's despicable ex, as he her hair affectionately. “Aigoo, my precious sister…”
“Hey, where were you guys, anyway?” Sunny says, suddenly changing the topic, not wanting them to linger on her current despondence.
“In the middle of a basketball game.” Sungmin proudly said.
“Really?” Sunny smiled, awed. “And you came here just for me?”
“Anything for my baby sister…” Sungmin pats her head a few times.
“Don’t believe him, Sunny!” Hyukjae suddenly jeered. “He wasn’t even part of the game! He was just sitting there impotently by the bleachers!”
“Yeah! Coach wouldn’t let him play!” Donghae seconds the claim.
“Dude!” Sungmin groaned at the exposure of his lies.
Donghae initiated a high-five with Hyukjae which earned him a protest from Sungmin, plus a flying towel that previously hung on Sungmin’s neck.
“Hey, don’t get mad like that, and start to your fake prop at me!”
“Hmm…oppa…” Sunny broke free from the hug and glared at him as a joke, joining the feast of picking on her older brother.
“Ehhhh! Nooo!” Sungmin continued to protest, flailing his arms as he vigorously shakes his head. “I played for a few minutes, I swear!”
That one ensued laughter from Sunny and the two boys.
“I was kidding!” Sunny lightly tapped him on the shoulder. “It was not really necessary of you guys to comfort me. But…” She stared at Kyuhyun, her closest childhood friend. He was just sitting at the corner with his elbows on her study table, texting and not even taking any part of the conversation. “…if you really came here to comfort me, you should be doing exactly that!” Sunny playfully threw a pillow aimed at his face to startle him. When Kyuhyun caught the pillow in his hands, Sunny pouted in disappointment.
Donghae inched closer to Kyuhyun. “Who are you texting
