I never understood why being a trainee called for such rigorous work. Every dance move, every note sung, every breath taken, it all counts. It's supposed to amount up to when we're chosen for a group. When we debut, it'll all be worth it. Won't it?

"Ms. Shen! If you don't get that spin kick, you'll never make it in this industry!" My dance instructor yelled.

I sighed. Sweat was dripping from my face as it is. I don't know if my legs can take it anymore.

A few knocks came to the door of the dance studio.

A smile came to my face as Onew Oppa and Jonghyun Oppa appeared, grinning as well.

I've liked Onew for as long as I can remember. He was my best friend. Through thick and through thin, he was always there for me. He was very handsome. Every time he smiled I just felt my legs turning into jelly and my heart melting from the inside out. I wish he knew how I felt.

It almost came to the point where I was ready to say that I loved him. But how could I? I'm a trainee. He's..a star. He's the brightest star I've ever seen. A star could never fall in love with a little speck such as I.

It's different than in fairytales. In those stories, you could be the poorest person in the world and fall in love. That person would eventually love you in the same way. But in real life, you could offer the world to the one person you think deserves it, but they'll never love you back. Talk about being one-sided.

Jonghyun Oppa and I are close as well. As far as I know he's the only one that is aware of my feelings for Onew.

Onew and Jonghyun walked over to me.

"Anyeong." I bowed, trying to cover my sweating face from Onew.

"Anyeong," they both replied back.

"I see training hasn't killed you yet." Jonghyun laughed.

"Just barely." I sighed and reached for my towel. It slipped off the table and fell to the floor.

Onew bent down and picked it up for me. He smiled. "Getting clumsy already?"

I blushed.

Jonghyun flashed his hinting smile. He usually did that whenever Onew did something to make me feel all fuzzy inside.

I rolled my eyes. "According to Mr. Napoleon over there I won't make it in this industry if I don't get this spin kick."

"Ms. Shen!" The instructor called again. "If I do not see that spin kick--well, you can forget debuting."

I felt tears from frustration welling up behind my eyes. Debut is only moments away for me. I've been in this industry for over three years.

I threw my towel on the table.

"Lindi, maybe you should rest--" Onew put his hands on my shoulders to calm me down.

I shook my head. "No. If I don't do this, I'll never see the spotlight." I exhaled sharply.

I raised up my hands, ready in formation. I kicked up my leg. I felt my self spin.

For a split second, I thought I did it. And then I felt the room tip.

"Lindi!"

Everything turned blurry. What just happened?

"Call help!"

"Jonghyun.." I groaned.

"Lindi, Oppa is here. Just stay still."

What's going on?

"Onew?"

"Lindi? Can you hear me?"
