“Get the hell out of here!” Amber screamed directly across the room.

They were inseparable back in middle school. The two girls sworn to stay as best friends forever however, little would they have known, fate decreed to have them separated. Amber just couldn't run away from her destiny, either she has to succumb to it or fight it and she chose the latter. She had to leave everything behind, and every single soul that might be a burden to her. Her heart is stone cold, so cold that a cold blooded silhouette trails behind her indefinitely. Victory let out a sign as streaks of tears trickles down her cheek as she made her exit from her once feisty friend's house. She knew very well that the current Amber would never let anyone into her heart. After all, the were once best of friends.

“Welcome myself to Hong Kong!” The first thing he muttered out loud upon touching down from the airport. Kyuhyun just couldn't keep the excitement to himself. After so many years of contemplation, he couldn't believe he actually ran away from home and seek a totally new life in a totally different country in a new culture and environment. He took in a breather and choked himself a little without thinking. He then recalled reading it somewhere in the internet, “Hong Kong's air isn't exactly that fresh.” Nevertheless, his curiosity got the better of him.

“Nei Hou! Ngor Hai Kyu Hyun. You.. my? landlord?” He attempted to greet in his limited amount of Cantonese as he greets his landlord for the first time. “Yes, I am Mr Chan. No worry! We speak English in Hong Kong.” the dark skin old man cheerfully replies him in his thickly Cantonese accented English. Kyuhyun raised a brow and smiled back at his new found friend. “Keys! Take care of my house for me.”

Kyuhyun managed to find a nice rooftop studio apartment located right in the bustling urban area in Hong Kong. The landlord decides to immigrate to Canada with his children and Kyuhyun came in the right time. The only thing Siwon could do for Kyuhyun was probably helping his buddy with this rental free house as the family was indebted to Siwon, they are happy to have Kyuhyun replace their presence in the house.

Kyuhyun took just an afternoon cleaning up the house and moving in his own stuffs as only one luggage followed him from Korea. Feeling the evening breeze as he steps out, his two hands formed a rectangular viewfinder hunting for an inspiration. There his eyes were locked on a dimly lighted alley, a slim small figure caught a corner of his eyes as his fingers locked onto his target.

Her small figure curled into a ball as she hid behind the shadows in the dark alley. Nothing could satisfy Kyuhyun's curiosity at that moment and his eyes continued stalking his hunt like that of an eagle. The feeling of deja vu came crashing over him like that of the movie that first inspired him to come to this new land. He quickly took a camera out his bag and locked on his target. As he hits the shutter, the figure looked up towards his direction the same time.

“CUT!” a man in his forties shouted. “Its a wrap for the day! Amber, keep all these and I want to see the drafts ready for tomorrow's shoot.”

Amber works in a production company for a more than a year now. Eighteen months ago, she was aimlessly looking for a job just to sustain herself when unknowingly walked to the production office by chance. She begged for a job for just her basic self sustainability and nothing more than that. The director took pity on her and took her in. Overtime, her boss impressed by her no frills attitude, saw an undeveloped potential sleeping inside her and decided to take her under his wings.

“Damn those guys. Persistent idiots.” Amber looked around restlessly feeling despondent at the fact that she still have drafts to complete amidst hiding from her parent's debtors. “Just one more month and I'm done here.” she mutters under her breath.

Seems like there's an extra pair of eyes tonight... Amber thought.

After years of being in chase and running away from the loansharks, Amber has developed a certain intuition or perhaps a beastly instinct to her surroundings. She could feel like she's being watched though she could feel there was no ill intent in it. She counts to five as she closes her eys before she opens it again.

“There you are!”
