Nana went to the doctor the next day, she lied to both of her oppas… she told Kyuhyun that she promised Donghae that she would go with him while she told Donghae that she would go with Kyuhyun.. by the time they realized it, her appointment would actually over… She hated looking the grim expression in her oppa’s face whenever the doctor told them something… she lied a lot these days… its not something that she loved to do.. they said once you lied, it’s like a snow ball, when it keep rolling it gets bigger…

She stared at the ceiling of the doctor office while they’re doing many procedures to test her heart… Are you afraid to die? She asked herself. Well, people died every day, every minutes, every seconds… who is she to be immune from that? After all, she’s just a normal ordinary human… What if I’m a superhero? Would it give me power so that I can survive? She smiled and chuckled…

“You’re down 2 kg from the last visit” Dr. Park said

“That’s because I ate 3 cups of ice cream before I came last time… I haven’t had breakfast yet” she told him

The doctor laugh, “I told you I need you to keep up with your weight” he told her

Nana nodded and smiled

“And about your heart….” He stopped for a second, “we will still need to do the transplant, we’re waiting for a suitable donor” he told her

“What is the chance that I never woke up from the transplant?” she asked him

“It is an open heart surgery, so it is quite extensive. But you’re with the best team possible. We’ll make sure everything going as the plan” he told her

“But there’s a chance I may never woke up from the surgery?” she asked again

Dr.Park sighed, “Tell me, are you afraid or something?” he asked her

“Is there any patient who answered ‘No’ in the past?” she asked him and smiled, “I think everyone would be afraid” she said

“Well, you have a really nice family to support you, so you don’t need to worry. If I’m you, I would prepare myself as best as I can, that includes keeping up with your weight! So when the time is ready, we can just go through with the procedures” he told her

She only nodded, having to face the same thing over and over again since she was born, she prepared herself for every possible complication. But still, can you prepare yourself to die?

“If you got dizziness, short of breath, and swelling in your feet call me right away” he told her before letting her go.

Nana walked to the bus stop. She waited for the bus… she examined everyone… lifes go on as usual…there’s nothing changed… would it still be like that if she left this world?

She got into the bus, took out her cellphone… there’s no calls yet… that means Donghae and Kyuhyun haven’t met each other yet… she smiled imagining both of her oppa’s face when they see each other…

She typed “Heart transplant statistic” and clicked search from her phone… She read it in her mind… Worldwide, there are about 3500 heart transplant performed annually, meanwhile about 800,000 patients in need of the new organ. She gulped, and turned off her phone.

Nana looked at the road in front of her, what if she rode this bus all the way to the last stop? She never even explored the whole world yet! Time all of a sudden seemed to be really fast…..too fast….

Donghae and Kyuhyun were in their own offices, each of them holding the phone wondering what had happened during the appointment…. Why the other haven’t called them yet…

Kyuhyun took the initiative to call his hyung since he couldn’t get hold to his sister…

“Kyuhyunie?” Donghae answered in a flash; he was holding his phone the whole time

“Hyung, why haven’t you called me yet… I’m worried sick!” he said

“What? Why? What happened to Na-yah? Is something bad happened?” Donghae’s jaw dropped

“What do you mean something bad happened? What happened?” Kyuhyun asked, panicked

“Yah! Speak clearly, what happened to her?” Donghae said

“Hyung! You’re the one who took her to the doctor! What did he say?” he became inpatient

“What do you mean? You’re the one who took her! Where are you?” Donghae asked him

“I’m in the office, where are you?” he asked him

Donghae sighed, he should know better. “I think she lied to both of us” he said

Kyuhyun clicked some number and location in his computer. He typed in the location address on the screen to his phone. He grabbed his jacket and walked outside his office when he saw his hyung was approaching him.

“I know where she is” Donghae told him, “She’s just at the outskirt of Seoul” he added

“I know…” Kyuhyun said while they’re walking fast to their car

“How do you know?” Donghae asked him, “Didn’t she turn her cell phone off? Did you get to talk to her?” he asked

Kyuhyun shook his head, “You drive hyung” he climb inside the passenger seat. “How do you know then?” Kyuhyun asked him back

Donghae started the car and sighed, “I put a tracking device in her phone… It worked even though the phone got turned off” he said feeling a bit embarrassed

 “Yah! What if she forgot her phone? What are you going to do?” he asked him

“Well, I haven’t thought about it yet…”Donghae said, “How do you know?” he asked Kyuhyun

“I put a tracking devise in both of her earrings” he answered and smirked, “She always had that so I’ll always be able to track her wherever she is” he said. “But I only use it for emergency purpose… I never spied on her” he added

“Yah! When did you insert that tracking device?” Donghae asked him

“Ever since she’s able to walk by her own” Kyuhyun answered

“You’re crazy!” Donghae shook his head

“I never really use it until today! What are you talking about?” he said

“That’s because you’re always with her 24/7!” he mocked him

“Can’t I be worried about my sister? I’m only doing it for her safety. You did it too! So don’t mock me!” he said

“I just want her to be okay” Donghae stepped in the gas deeper

They arrived at the outskirt of town and found her at the exact location. She was sitting at the bus stop… looking down… under the shimmering of light rain… They both were glad that at least she’s fine…

“Stay in the car for a second Kyuhyun-ah” Donghae told him

“Why? I want to be there for her too” Kyuhyun reached the door

Donghae pulled him in. “I want to talk to her alone” he said

“No” Kyuhyun answered

“I understand what she’s going through” he said

“I understand too” he answered

“My dad went through the same thing Kyuhyun-ah, just let me talk to her alone” he said and stared at his younger brother

Kyuhyun sighed heavily, he nodded slightly.

Donghae climbed out of the car, he walked slowly and approaching the girl in front of him. When he was closed enough, he could see the tears in her eyes, her confusion, frustration. Even though, she’s wet from the rain, he could see that she’s been crying… her eyes were red and puffy…

Nana glanced to the side, a pair of shoes were right in front of her sight…. She looked up… She stared at her oldest oppa in confusion… How could he…?

She watched as he walked slowly in front of her… crunching down so that their eyes were at the same level… he reached out to her hand… pulling her into his arms… “You can cry” he whispered to her and patted her hair

She didn’t know what happened, but she suddenly sobbing uncontrollably… everything that she held in… always trying to looked brave and acted as if it was nothing… she cried and cried in Donghae’s arms…

Kyuhyun looked at both of them from the car… He’s kind of glad that he stayed in the car and let his hyung to talk to her… He would have dragged her to the car first considering the rain… and then he would yell at her for lying to them and disappeared… asked her what was she thinking?

After awhile Nana stopped crying… Donghae sit next to her and let her rest her head on his shoulder, he still held her hand tightly… The rain was still pouring lightly above them…

“oppa… I read something funny today” she said

“What is it?” Donghae asked her

“Do you know that there’s only around 3500 heart transplant performed annually worldwide… but actually there are 800,000 patients inneed of a new heart?” she said

Donghae kissed her forehead, “No matter what,  I would find you that heart! I promised!” he said

Nana shook her head, “Don’t promise me something that you can’t keep. That would just get my hope up” she said

“Did I ever broke my promise to you?” he asked

Nana shook her head.

“Then I’ll keep this one as well” he said trying to convince her

“Oppa… your dad… did he die because he did the surgery?” she asked him

“Are you afraid?” he looked at her face

Nana nodded, her eyes were wet and puffy because of the tears, her nose was all red, she waited for an answer

“He died because he waited for an available heart… and he didn’t get one” he said

“I’m sorry I asked” she said and looked down

“But we were poor… we didn’t have any money to do the surgery either if it’s become available” he said, he looked at his dongsheng, “You’re different… we have all of the resources to do it now… and we would do anything to make you healthy again” he said and hug her tightly

“Promised?” she asked him

Donghae nodded, “Promised” he whispered in her ear

Donghae carried her to the car… Kyuhyun moved to the back seat already, Donghae put her down on Kyuhyun’s lap and he hug her… she’s trembling because of the cold… Kyuhyun grabbed the extra hoodie that he kept in his car … “Na-yah, change your shirt to this jacket” he told her

“Donghae hyung and me would be outside, let us know when you’re ready” he tapped her head before reaching the door handle

Nana grabbed his hand all of sudden… “Just… just close your eyes…” she said

Kyuhyun glanced at Donghae at the rearview mirror, he nodded. They both closed their eyes.

“I’m done” she said, she was still trembling but felt a lot better with the dry clothes

Kyuhyun opened his suit jacket. “Hyung, wear this” he gave it to Donghae behind the wheels. “Come here” he told his sister and snuggled her in his arms, he rested her head on his chest…. Rubbing his thumb on her cheek… He kissed her forehead before whispering, “Go to sleep…”

Donghae watched them from the mirror before starting the car…

“She’s sleeping” Kyuhyun told him after awhile… Donghae glanced through the mirror and found Nana was sleeping peacefully in Kyuhyun’s arms

“I called Dr. Park earlier… he said she would need the heart transplant soon enough. She lost a couple of kgs as well” he said

Donghae nodded.

“Hyung, what’s the odd to get a heart donor?” Kyuhyun asked his hyung

“It’s pretty slim… Kyuhyunah… you can’t just get any heart… it has to be fitted with her…” he explained

“So it would be better if it comes from a family member?” he asked

“Technically yes” he said “We should talked about this with Aboji” Donghae added

Kyuhyun glanced at the girl who sleep peacefully in his arms, I would do anything to save you Na-yah.. I promised!

When Nana woke up the next afternnon, she was alone in Donghae’s room… she glanced to her side, she found Kyuhyun’s pillow there… but where are they?

She washed up and felt a lot better… taking her usual morning medication… She almost threw up again, but she held in…

She walked into the kitchen and her jaw literally dropped… there were all kinds of dessert in front of her.. Starting from cakes, ice cream, cookies, pudding, jelly, fruit ice and many more were there…

“What is this?” she asked the ahjuma who cleaned up the kitchen

“Oh, Miss.. You woke up” she greeted her… “This is from Mr. Kyuhyun and Donghae… they said these all for you” she said

Nana looked lost… she picked up the card on the table… it said, “Gained back those kgs <3”

Nana laughed. She texted Donghae first and typed “Thank you oppa! I’ll eat well”

She texted Kyuhyun next, “Thank you oppa! What if I gained too much weight? Would you like a fat girlfriend? <3” as she pressed send, she heard a phone rang behind her. When she tried to look behind her, a pair of hands suddenly hugs her from behind; a pair of soft lips touched her right cheek.

“Oppa?” she was shocked. She pushed him away and whispered, “What if anyone saw us” she said

Kyuhyun grinned and looked up his phone… “Oho! I love a fat girlfriend!” he said and stole a kiss really quick from her

Nana hit him, “I told you someone might see us!” she said

He tapped her head. “Let’s eat!” he said

Nana pouted, “I didn’t know that Dr.Park is such a tattle tale as well” she said

“Hurry up and eat!” he said

“Are we going somewhere after this?”Nana asked

“I’m going to pamper you for the rest of the day!” he said

Nana got excited.

She finished 2 cakes, 2 donuts, 1 pudding, 1 jelly and 1 cup of milkshake. She was practically got dizzy and hyper after eating all of those sugars.

Kyuhyun took her to a spa first, he patiently waited for her while she got her nails, hair and make up done.

“Oppa… I’m done” she looked happier

“Omo… you looked sparkling” he , “Let’s go” he grabbed her hand

“Are we going somewhere else?” she asked him

“We need some nice dress for you” he said

“Are we going somewhere?” she asked him

“It’s a secret!” he said

Nana pouted but got excited by the time she got dressed up. When she was out, Kyuhyun was standing there in front of her in a tuxedo.

“Oppa….” she blushed whenever she looked at him, he looked so dazzling

“Oppa, where are we going?” she asked him for the 100^th time

“I told you it’s a secret” he said

“No way? Are you going to propose to me?” she asked him

“What?” Kyuhyun seemed to be taken back by her question

“You took me to the spa, got my hair and makeup done, then you dressed me up like this, you’re in tuxedo. We’re going dinner somewhere. Isn’t this like proposing?” she told him

Kyuhyun laughed, “You’ll see” he said

They arrived at a big hotel. “Are we going to eat here? And you propose to me?” she asked him

He chuckled again while opening the car door for her. “Let’s go!” he said

They walked into what it seemed like a company’s dinner bouquet.

“Oppa, where are we?” she asked him

Kyuhyun hold her hand and led her to the crowd. They were walking to a group of people, she saw her appa and omma, also Donghae in the group.

“Oppa, what are you doing?” she looked at him in horror

“Abojji” Kyuhyun greeted his dad

His dad seemed to be taken back when he saw his daughter was there as well.

“Na-yah, what are you doing here? I thought you weren’t feeling well yesterday?” her mom asked her

“I….” she didn’t know what to answer

“Abojji, you told me to bring my girlfriend to you” Kyuhyun said suddenly

Nana felt like blood start to drain from her head. This is not happening.

“I brought you my girlfriend” he added and glanced to Nana
