It has been a week since the confrontation.

Jimin did not mind the number of side-eye rolls, groundless gossip, and defamation rumors about her, most of the side-eye rolls came from Yizhuo. The CEO would rather be talked about than Minjeong, the brunette was never fond of getting attention to herself. Being an heiress, she was used to it, Minjeong, however, was not.

Minjeong remained professional and civil towards her. Keeping her boundary towards the woman who has hurt her. 

It’s all my fault.

Continuously disregarding her advances, Jimin persists, not when her soulmate was now within her reach. Asking out for a lunch out always gets a straight-up no from Minjeong. The brunette doesn’t even want to be in the same room with her unless she was asked to be in one. 

Even as a secretary, Minjeong moved out of the CEO’s room and set her table outside, still close to the room but enough to give them a boundary. Clearly, making up a line that Jimin was trying to erase.

Jimin stared behind her car window and saw Minjeong animatedly talking to Ningning. It became a routine for her to watch Minjeong after work. Making sure that Minjeong and her daughter get home safely. 

And every time, there was a green emotion blooming inside her heart. Jealousy consumed her inside and it was eating her up. She knew that Ningning was already taken by her cousin but she just couldn't help it.

She couldn't help but feel jealous. She was the one supposed to be there with Minjeong and Minjae. She was the one supposed to be there talking and bonding with the two brunettes but here she was, inside her million-dollar car and acting like a creepy stalker.

The dark-haired woman decided to go against Aeri's wish considering that Minjeong was already near her. Being away from Minjeong for years made her long for the brunette's presence and now, she couldn't help but do things that would make her close to Minjeong again.

Jimin didn't hold back anymore when she saw how Minjae embraced Ningning while a smile was plastered on her face, making Minjeong laugh too. The CEO quickly went out of her hiding spot and hastily rushed to Minjeong and the company. She felt enraged and it was written on her face. She darted her cold dark eyes to Ningning and Minjeong.

To say that Minjeong was shocked was an understatement. Her mind couldn't quite understand why Jimin was standing in front of her after all the things that happened between the two of them. With a timid voice, she heard Jimin speak, "Can we talk, Minjeong?"

Before Minjeong could answer, Minjae already untangled herself from Ningning and launched herself to the black-haired woman, hugging the older woman's legs and looking up at her with gleaming eyes. She yelled which caused the people in the shop to look at their location, "You're the woman who saved me! Your picture is also on my mommy's wallet! My superhero! Come and play with me."

Jimin felt her heart burst, not understanding why she felt a connection with the kid. Her reaction was to giggle and pick the kid up and give an Eskimo kiss. As much as she wanted to spend time with Minjae, she couldn't. Not wanting to disregard her reason for interrupting Minjeong's ice cream date with her long-lost best friend, she
