Seulgi stiffens.

“Does she have two names?”

In the other room.

“Noona! Stop hugging me!”

“But you’re so cute, all pouty.”

The boy rolls his eyes. “I’m trying to listen.”

“…Seulgi better confess.” Taeyeon whispers still clinging annoyingly.

Back to Seulgi and Wendy.

Seulgi exhales. “I love you..” she grips her pants, crumpling it. 

“…” 

“What I meant.. Is um… err.. I love—..”

Wendy covers her ears. “LA LA LA LA!!!!!”

“WANNIE!”

“LOOK! A MOSQUITO!”

“Wan… I’m trying to say something..”

“YOU’RE ALLOWED TO LIE!!” Wendy shakes her head still covering her ears.

Seulgi gets up to pull her bestfriend’s hands away from her ears.

“WAAAAAAHH!!!!”

“I’M TRYING TO TELL YOU—..”

“I NEVER ASKED ABOUT THAT! I ASKED ABOUT JUDON!!!”

“LISTEN!”

They start wrestling.

“HELP! HELP!” Wendy squirms trying to get away from her friend.

“WANNIE! I HAD FEELINGS FOR YOU! HAD! NOT ANYMORE!!!”

Wendy stops moving.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY THAT FIRST!?!”

“I was nervous okay! I messed up my first line!”

“Get off me!” She pushed Seulgi away. “So… why do you call her Joohyun??”

Seulgi tilts her head. “…I just confessed to you.”

“I told you, that’s not what I asked.”

Seulgi starts sulking. “You don’t even care 😭 I told you the biggest secret ever!”

Wendy facepalms.

Giggling could be heard from the other side of the room.

“..sure. That was a secret.” Wendy chuckles.

Seulgi’s head snaps. “YOU.. YOU KNEW?!?”

This time around it was Wendy’s turn to sigh. “Seul.. I’m your best friend. Of course I know.”

“B-but.. But! I KEPT IT A SECRET!!!”

The giggling was getting louder.

“You’re pretty obvious..”

Seulgi could only chew on her lips.

“Plus you talk in your sleep.” Wendy chuckles. “…so much feet-worshipping dreams. 🥲”

Seulgi reddens.

Squeals and slapping sounds could be heard now.

“..if you knew.. Why didn’t you say so?” Seulgi’s brows furrowed. “You didn’t like that, did you?”

“We’re friends. Best friends.” She pats Seulgi’s shoulder. “If you had feelings for me there’s nothing wrong with that. Nor is there anything I could do about it.” Wendy playfully pokes her forehead. “Rather than me not liking it, I just didn’t feel that way about you.”

Seulgi continues to chew on her lower lips.

“As awkward as it was I waited patiently for you to tell me when you were ready.”

“Soo… basically you were waiting to reject me?”

A loud thud was heard.

“Sehun what did she ask??”

“Noona shhh!!”

“Don’t shush me!”

“AHEM!” Wendy clears . “No, I was waiting for the truth to come from you.”

“You were literally making noise when I was telling you the truth… 😑”

“Can you blame me?? I was asking about Judon then you suddenly confessed past feelings… I wasn’t ready. It is awkward, don’t you agree?”

Seulgi snorts while gripping her nape. “Yea.. Yeah, it is…”

Silence.

“OOF! What was that for noona??” Sehun rubs his sides.

“It was hard to concentrate with your hiccups!”

“That seems like a YOU problem!”

“Why you punk!”

“Eeep!”

“So was she rejected?!?”

Seulgi and Wendy could only laugh. They finally look at each other. Wendy offers her friend a comforting smile.

“There’s no need for any rejection.”

Seulgi’s eyes glistened.

“Especially for feelings that are no longer there. It’s just us being honest about what was and what is.”

Seulgi nods in agreement. “Mhm!”

“The friendship we have is the best relationship we can ever have.”

“WANNIE I LOVE YOU 😭”

Wendy struggles to push her friend away. “Soooo!! Tell me!!”

Seulgi stops the onslaught of love attacks. “Tell you what? 😅”

“Why Judon is Joohyun 😩”

“Oh! Well…” Seulgi sat back down. “I… uh.. Paid her…”

“Paid her? To buy a name?”

“Ahehe… to make you jealous.”

Wendy cringed. “Eh?”

“We pretended to be a thing… to make you jealous.”

Seulgi’s shoulders slump. “…yea. It was a setup.”

Loud snorting and exasperated sighs were heard from the other room.
