“What happened hyung?” asked Jungkook worriedly. “You suddenly hung up after telling me you got into an accident.. did you want me to faint?”

 

Taehyung smiled a little.

 

“I didn’t know I was running out of battery and I had no other means to call back.. I’m sorry..” he replied. “Nothing bad really happened to me apart from getting my car damaged..”

 

Lisa heaved a sigh.

 

“You scared us!” she said still in shock.

 

She and Jungkook have just arrived at the hospital when they saw Taehyung and Jisoo coming out with RM.

 

“We should all get going now..” said RM. “Taehyung needs to take a rest so I’m going to drive him home..”

 

Then he turned to Jisoo.

 

“Do you also.. want to come?”

 

Jisoo looked at Taehyung first before nodding her head.

 

RM smiled.

 

“Then you and Taehyung should wait for me here at the front while I get my car from the parking..” 

 

Lisa and Jungkook followed him to get their car as well.

 

“Oppa.. are you okay?” asked Lisa softly as the three of them walked together.

 

RM smiled onesidedly.

 

“Why shouldn’t I be okay? I didn’t get into any accident..” he said shaking his head as he turned to her.

 

“It seems like those two have reunited, hyung.. are you really okay?” asked Jungkook.

 

“Those two never separated anyway.. they were just being stubborn..” said RM as he stood in front of his car. “I’ll go now.. the two loverbirds are waiting for me..”

 

But before he got on his car, he turned to them again..

 

“You two.. are wearing the same clothes from yesterday afternoon when I went to visit you at your office..” he said thinning his eyes. “And you.. Lisa.. shouldn’t you be at your blind date now?”

 

Lisa and Jungkook turned to each other and gulped nervously.

 

“Do you think a blind date is more important than Taehyung oppa’s life?” she said lowering her gaze. “Of course I chose to come here.. without even changing clothes.. because I was.. in a hurry..”

 

Jungkook cleared his throat.

 

“Well.. me too.. I was in a hurry..”

 

RM took a deep breath.

 

“Take it slowly.. you two..” he said as he got on and left the two.

 

As soon as RM drove away, Lisa faced Jungkook with teary eyes.

 

“What are we going to do now? What will happen to me now?” she asked hitting his arms. “What if I.. get pregnant?”

 

The two of them drank all night and ended up in a hotel.

They don’t remember anything because they were totally out of it but they woke up next to each other without any cloth on making Lisa extremely anxious.

 

“You must not be worried because you’re a man but I-..” Lisa choked back a sob. “I’m a woman.. a CEO.. the only daughter of my parents who have expectations of me.. now tell me Jungkook.. what am I supposed to do?”

 

Jungkook kept on sighing.

He shouldn’t have made any bet with her last night..

He didn’t know he’d also pass out..

 

“See? You aren’t even answering me..” said Lisa angered. “You must think that it isn’t even serious whether we did it or not.. whether I might get pregnant or not.. because you aren’t the woman anyway and-..”

 

Jungkook held her by her arms.

 

“I will take responsibility of you..” he said looking at her. 

 

Lisa’s brows furrowed.

RM opened the door to help Taehyung alight the car.

 

“Didn’t they give you any medicine to take?” he asked curiously seeing he didn’t bring anything from the hospital.

 

Taehyung turned to Jisoo who was staying silent behind him.

 

“I have them inside my bag RM oppa..” she said lowering her gaze.

 

“Then.. make sure to have a good rest.. and take your medicines regularly so you can heal as soon as possible..” said RM.

 

There was silence between the three.

 

Jisoo looked at RM and Taehyung and felt the need to give them space alone for a moment.

 

“I’ll wait for you inside the building..” said Jisoo hurrying in. 

 

RM cleared his throat as he turned away from him.

Why is it so awkward to be with Taehyung now?

It isn’t like the two of them dated and broke up but facing him alone like this is even weirder than seeing Irene earlier after a long time..

 

“Thank you hyung..” said Taehyung in a clear voice.

 

RM nodded his head.

 

“I only drove you home.. I didn’t do anything really great..”

 

“Not for that..” said Taehyung looking at him. “But for taking care of Jisoo when I couldn’t..”

 

RM’s throat moved fast.

 

“I am really thankful.. that you helped her..” Taehyung continued.

 

“I didn’t do it for you.. I did it for her..” RM answered. “So you don’t need to thank me..”

 

Taehyung’s lips curled up.

RM hyung doesn’t want to lose even in the end.. why is he so stubborn?

 

“Anyway.. thank you hyung..” he said as he took a step towards the entrance of the building.

 

“Wait Taehyung..” said RM stopping him. “I haven’t said it yet.. about the other night..”

 

Taehyung furrowed his brows.

 

“What about the other night?” He asked puzzled.

 

“I’m sorry.. for hitting you on your face.. I’m really sorry..” RM continued.

 

Taehyung smiled.

 

“You don’t have to.. I don’t think I apologized to you either 5 years ago..”

 

RM knit his brows as he tried to call what happened five years ago.

 

And then it came to him..

 

Taehyung also threw a punch at him for saying mean things to Jisoo back then.

 

“And also.. hyung.. thank you.. for letting of your feelings towards Jisoo.. and sending her back to me..” said Taehyung smiling. “You are an amazing man.. an amazing hyung..”

 

RM smiled a little.

 

“Do you think I’d fall you if you said sweet words to me?” he asked shaking his head. 

 

Taehyung laughed.

 

“I’ll go inside now.. you should go home and take a rest too..” he said turning his back against him.

 

But RM spoke again..

 

“I may have lost Jisoo to you..” he said softly. “But still.. I think I’m a better driver than you..”

 

Taehyung turned to him and laughed.

 

“Well.. I think the same.. but you were a lousy teacher to me..”

 

 

As soon as RM left, Taehyung went inside the building and found Jisoo standing in front of the door to his apartment.

 

He already felt emotional as he was reminded of the past for the umpteenth time.

When was the last time he even saw her standing there? 

Was it that night they came back home after her mother’s funeral?

It happened a long time ago that he feels like crying as he looks at her now..

 

“Why didn’t you go in?” he asked as he walked to her in a hurry. 

 

Jisoo turned to him.

She did try to go inside by putting the old passcode he had but it didn’t work..

 

Taehyung put a code in and the door opened.

 

“What does.. it mean?” asked Jisoo confused.

 

She has never heard of that combination before..

It isn’t their birthday.. not even his parents’ death anniversary..

What could it be?

 

“Our first date.. and first kiss..” said Taehyung as he held her hand and entered his place together. “Don’t you remember?”

 

Jisoo’s eyes widened.

How would she remember the day of their fist date and first kiss?

She only knows it was the start of autumn though..

 

Why is his memory so good that he knows all the smallest details?

She feels quite guilty for not knowing about it..

 

She took her coat off as she looked around his apartment.

He hasn’t changed anything here..

Everything looks the same..

 

“How about I cook dinner for us?” asked Taehyung as he went to the kitchen. “You must be hungry right now..”

 

Jisoo followed after him and held him by his arms right away pushing him back to the living room and making him sit down on the couch.

 

“I’ll do everything so just stay here and rest..” she said softly as she lowered her gaze. “You.. are sick.. so let me cook for you.. and help you..”

 

Taehyung tried not to smile but it’s impossible to resist her when she’s being this adorably shy..

 

“Alright.. I’ll stay here and just watch you..” he said lifting her chin. 

 

Jisoo smiled.

 

She knows she has been through a lot and hurt herself many times already but she also knows that she wasn’t the only one.. because everytime she did hurt.. she knew she did the same to the man in front of her.. the man who never gave up on her no matter how many times she pushed him away..

Jisoo and Taehyung were lying on the bed together.

 

“Jisoo..” Taehyung kept on calling her continuously. “Will you not turn to me?”

 

Jisoo shook her head as she kept her back against him.

She still feels her heart beating fast from being scared whenever she gets reminded of what happened that afternoon.

And when she looks at him, her tears come out automatically..

 

“Are you.. still mad at me?” asked Taehyung softly. “I wasn’t hurt badly.. you saw it already..”

 

Jisoo only spoke to him a few times since they came home.

They didn’t almost talk during their dinner although she did spoonfeed him and he was really happy..

 

She must still be worried.. and angry at him for being careless but..  can’t she even turn to him so he could see her face before sleeping?

 

If only it weren’t for his right arm, he might be hugging her already at this moment!

 

“I really missed you.. I want to look at you..” he said softly as he turned his head to her.

 

And slowly, he saw her turning her body around so they could be facing each other.

 

His lips curled up at the beautiful sight before him.

 

“Will this be fine?” asked Jisoo shyly. “You should sleep now so you can gain strength and-..”

 

Then Taehyung held her hand.

 

“I thought you wouldn’t want to see me again..” he said looking at their hands held together. “You don’t know how scary it was for me..”

She regret sending him away that night the most..

Seeing him in tears.. and hearing him say he would be fine seeing her with another man as long as she wouldn’t run away anymore and hide herself..

She squeezed his hand gently.

 

“I’m sorry..” she said it whispering to him. “I’m really sorry.. for hurting you..”
