Jisoo was still in disbelief.

 

So the part-timer she hired was Taehyung? And she has been exchanging messages with him for the past three days? How could this happen?

 

Why would he want to work for her when he has a decent job himself?

He must have gone insane!

 

“What should we do now?” asked Taehyung smiling at her. “You said you were supposed to show me around the kitchen tonight.. Boss Kim..”

 

Jisoo’s brows furrowed.

 

“Are you.. for real?” she asked as she closed the gap between them. “I mean.. I don’t understand why you would want to take a part-time job..”

 

Taehyung smiled wider.

 

“I have a lot of reasons to take this job on..” he said walking even closer to her.

 

He wants to stay next to her as much as possible..

He wants to see her on his free time..

He wants to help her run the shop so she can be less tired..

He wants to be with her..

 

Those should be enough of a reason, right?

 

Jisoo took a step back as she cleared .

 

What should she do now? Should she just send him away or take him in?

 

Taehyung was staring at her intensely while she was thinking to herself.

 

She looks really pretty whenever she’s focused and serious..

He can look at her like this all day and he wouldn’t complain..

 

“Follow me..” said Jisoo sighing a little before going to the kitchen.

 

Whatever.. since he already came here and ruined her part timer hiring.. she might as well take him in..

 

Taehyung chuckled.

 

“Yes Boss..” he said smiling like a happy kid as he followed after her.

 

But Jisoo stopped and turned to him.

 

“And stop calling me Boss..” she said narrowing her brows. “I’m not used to it..”

 

Taehyung nodded.

 

“Okay Boss..” he covered his mouth right away. “I mean.. Jisoo.. my Jisoo..”

 

He said it in a soft voice that Jisoo couldn’t hear him well.

But he’ll do his best so one day, he could say it louder to her face to face..

He’s going to tell everyone that Jisoo is his..

 

Jisoo was explaining things to him when she noticed he was only smiling while looking at her.

 

What’s up with him? Just what is he thinking that he’s smiling like that?

 

“You.. are you even listening to what I was saying? Why do you only keep smiling when there’s nothing funny?” she said pursing her lips.

 

Does he find her funny? Does what she say make him laugh?

She has been explaining about all the stuff in the kitchen yet he looked like he wasn’t even listening to her at all!

 

“What did I say just now?” she asked lifting her chin up as if trying to challenge him.

 

She’ll get mad at him if he says he didn’t understand anything!

 

“Maintain the kitchen clean.. make sure to check if the oven has been turned off after using it.. make sure to set an alarm so I wouldn’t forget that I have something in the oven and make sure not to hurt myself while working..” said Taehyung proudly.

 

Jisoo was left speechless.

He used the same words as she did..

 

“You were listening after all..” she said almost embarrassed to have doubted him. “Then why were you smiling?”

 

“Because you look pretty..” said Taehyung making her eyes widen.

 

“W-what did you-..?”

 

“I smile when I look at pretty things so I was smiling while looking at you..” said Taehyung taking a step closer to her.

 

Jisoo gasped.

Pretty? He’s saying she’s pretty? Why? What happened to him?

 

Did he hit his head somewhere? Why did he have a change of attitude all of a sudden?

Where’s the Professor Kim she knows?

He was never this direct with her.. she remembers him being a shy gentleman..

 

Well.. he’s still a gentleman but he’s become more direct now..

 

Jisoo took another step away from him only to feel the oven behind her.

 

She better change the topic immediately.. 

 

“About the payment..” she said clearing .

 

Taehyung took some steps towards her until they were standing face to face.

He put both of his hands against the oven trapping her.

 

“What about the payment?” he asked smiling onesidedly as he stared into her eyes. “How.. are you going to pay me?”

 

Jisoo gulped.

She lowered her gaze as she tried to process what he said..

Wait.. he isn’t asking to be paid in a dirty way, right?

 

She pushed him away immediately.

 

“How else am I going to pay you if not with money?” she said fanning herself. “Why are you thinking dirtily-..?”

 

“I didn’t say anything..” said Taehyung laughing.

 

Jisoo bit her lower lip in embarasment.

 

“Then why did you trap me and put your hands against the oven?” she asked with her chin up. “What were you thinking of?”

 

“I was checking if the oven has been turned off already..” said Taehyung folding his arms. “Didn’t you say to check on it always?”

 

Jisoo sighed.

Why is he good at making up excuses?

He isn’t a professor for no reason..

 

“Why would you check when you could already feel that it wasn’t even hot?” she said pouting.

 

“Then why are you sweating if it isn’t hot?” asked Taehyung smirking.

 

Jisoo’s throat moved fast as she felt the sweat dripping on her temple.

He has a point.. it felt hot for some reason..

 

Why is it? Why does she feel hot? 

It’s because he kept on saying nonsense since before..

 

She cleared before standing straight.

 

“You are not supposed to talk back to your Boss..” she said pointing a finger at him. “Just another word from you and I might fire you..”

 

Then she hurriedly went out of the kitchen.

 

Taehyung let out a laugh as soon as she was gone.

He held his chest tightly with a hand.. his heart already keeps beating like crazy when he’s around her.. and what more if she acts adorably just like that?

He might not be able to sleep tonight because of her!

“Did something good happen last night?” asked RM as he cut the meat.

 

Jisoo’s brows furrowed.

 

The two of them went to have lunch together during RM’s breaktime.

 

“You look like you slept well last night.. I’m glad to see you looking good..” RM continued as he exchanged his plate with hers.

 

“Thank you..” she said grabbing the fork. “I could have cut it myself..”

 

RM just smiled before he started eating.

 

“I think we can finally move Jhope’s ashes next to your parents’ by next week..” he said as he took his phone out of his pocket.

 

He showed her a message.

 

“My friend told me he would make time for us next week..” he continued.

 

Jisoo felt glad.

The long wait is over.. she’s glad that Jhope can finally lay beside her parents’..

 

“I’m going to tell mom and dad about this later.. they will be happy to hear this..” said Jisoo smiling broadly.

 

She promised Jhope’s parents she’d do it for them and thanks to RM’s help, it’s about to be done..

 

Jhope must have been lonely by himself..

She’s sure he would like to stay nearby so his bestfriend and parents can visit him everytime..

 

“About your part-timer.. have you found one already?” asked RM changing the topic.

 

Jisoo must have held her breath for a few seconds without realizing it.

 

“Ohh.. part-timer..” she said smiling nervously.

 

RM nodded.

 

“I can look for someone if you want.. we should find someone suitable who has some experience already and-..”

 

“No.. I mean.. let me find someone myself..” she said smiling awkwardly. “Someone already contacted me from the university.. maybe it’s better to give the job to someone who needs it..”

 

RM nodded his head.

Jisoo must want to help students in need because she understands their situation better than anyone.

 

“I will find someone.. don’t worry..” said Jisoo as she gulped the meat nervously.

 

Why did she have to lie to him? Why couldn’t she say Taehyung is her newly found part-timer?

 

She must be insane.. she’s making it more suspiscious that she’s trying to cover him up..

 

But telling RM oppa that she hired Taehyung might make him question her..

 

The two of them went out of the restaurant.

 

“I can drive you to your shop..” said RM feeling bad that she has to wait for the taxi.

 

Jisoo shook her head.

 

“I know you’re busy with work.. I’m already thankful that you made time for me today..” she said smiling. “Go on oppa.. the taxi should be here in a few minutes..”

 

RM sighed.

He really doesn’t want to leave her alone but he knows she’ll get mad if he insists..

 

Jisoo waved her hand at him.

 

“Be careful on your way back to work..” she said smiling.

 

“Wait Jisoo..” said RM unable to leave yet.
