Chapter Seventeen
I want to know you

It’s finally weekend, Jina is always looking forward to weekends as she gets some time to rest and wake up late as well, but this time, she wakes up extra early. She keeps on thinking about what’s happening between her and Baekhyun.

“Do I scare you too much?”

“Ugh, Jina.” She groans and drags herself to her small bathroom to wash and face and brush her teeth.

She wears her hoodie and decides to go outside for a jog to forget about Baekhyun.

She starts to jog and the morning weather is too cold and she’s only wearing one layer at the moment. Jina continues to jog until her pace gets slower seeing someone so familiar from afar. Her eyes meets Baekhyun, gazing into each other’s eyes.

Baekhyun slows down and removes one of his Air Pods and Jina only stares at him. “Hey—“ He stops from talking when Jina rushed and started running passing by him as if they never met. He looks behind him and watches Jina running and turning to the next street.

Meanwhile, Jina pants heavily as she stops from running, placing her hand on the wall and takes in a deep breath. “Why did I see him again today? Does he live near this neighborhood?” she frowns and shakes her head while she’s frowning. “I should stay away from him already.” She starts to jog again and this time, she checks every corner and even her back, not wanting to cross paths with Baekhyun again.

The sun is slowly painting the skies with beautiful colors of sunrise. She stops from jogging and watches the sunshine hits her face and she can’t help but to smile feeling its nice warmth on her skin. *I really love mornings.*

She stops by the convenience store close to where she lives and gets out of the store with a cup of ramyun, hardboiled egg and kimchi.

She tries to balance everything until she reaches the table and settles down, she takes the chopsticks and splits it. Before she eats, she takes a sip of her coffee and when she looks up, she chokes on her coffee not because it’s hot but because Baekhyun comes from the convenience store with a cup of coffee and settles down on the seat across her.

Jina wipes her lips with the back of her hand and continues to cough before looking away to her lips and she sighs heavily before taking her chopsticks to eat her ramyun, ignoring Baekhyun.

*So we’re going to play this game, hmm?* Baekhyun thought and nonchalantly takes a sip of his coffee before leaning against his seat and looks far away.

Feeling uncomfortable, Jina looks up at him and chews on the noodles before swallowing. “What are you doing here?”

Smiling to himself, Baekhyun glances and looks at her, keeping a straight face. “You suddenly run past by me a while ago.”

“So?”

Baekhyun was taken aback by her question. It’s true, why does he care if Jina ignores her. He takes another sip of his coffee. He frowns and stretches his arm and his fingertips touches her chin, lifting her face up a bit, “Wait a minute… What happened to your lips? Did you hurt yourself?”

She is quick to pull away from him and touches her lip cut, shaking her head as she continues to eat. “I told you, right? Mind your own business. If you’re done with your coffee, you can leave.” She coldly answers and continues to eat her ramyun.

“Did anyone do that to you?” his eyes and voice suddenly changed, scaring Jina a little and it’s not hard for Baekhyun to realize before he sighs and closes his eyes, looking away for a moment. “I-I’m sorry, it’s just… I didn’t mean to scare you.”

Jina chews on her food and stirs her noodles. “I just don’t know why you keep on butting into my business.”

“I want to know you.” He suddenly said. Jina stops from eating just continues to ignore him. “Do you want to know me? Just like how bad I want to know you?”

Jina finds it hard to swallow the food inside . The question is impossible for her to answer.

Finishing his cup of coffee, Baekhyun stands up and walks back inside the store. After a few minutes, Jina is hurrying to tidy up her trash and she stands up in her se
