Taeyeon looked at the manila folder on her desk afraid to touch it. She knew what was inside. Jessica’s secretary came that morning and informed her it was a contract to dissolve Jessica as the CEO and merge Blanc ® with Zer0 ®. Signing on the dotted line would have been so easy to do a day ago, but with everything she knows now, she was tempted to get up and put this in the shredder.

Slamming her head on the desk, Taeyeon needed time to think, but every time she closed her eyes, she saw that look on Jessica’s face. The one where she was pleading with her as tears filled her eyes. It made her heart ache in the most uncomfortable of ways.

She needed it to stop.

Reaching over for her phone, Taeyeon dialed the number she tried to avoid all day, “Can we meet tonight? No I haven’t yet. Sure we can meet there.”

Taeyeon hung up the phone and grabbed the folder before walking out the door, “Where are you going?”

Sooyoung was surprised to see Taeyeon taking off in the middle of the day, “I have a few things to do. Won’t be back today.”

Sooyoung sighed, “Taeyeon…look we have been friends for a while and I know since you saw Jessica, you have been a bit off. We were in this together, so if there is something you need to say?”

Taeyeon shook her head, “No. I think I know what I want to do.”

Sooyoung nodded, “Alright. Good luck.”

Taeyeon nodded, “Thanks.”

Making her way out of the room, Taeyeon went a few floors down and stepped out at the 5^th floor. Looking back and forth, Taeyeon went one direction hoping it would be correct. Luckily, she found the door she was looking for 522 Taemin Lee. Knocking a few times, a man finally came out, “Oh Taeyeon? Why are you down here?”

Taeyeon walked in uninvited, “I was in a rush. I need your help.”

Taemin turned around and shut the door, “Anything.”
