"I have been apologising since yesterday night! You can't be that petty~ You're the magnanimous G-Dragon!" Yoona pacified.

"Oh really? I thought I'm the mean-spirited G-Dragon," Jiyong said sarcastically. "Oh, and the disgraceful boyfriend that no one wants to bring home for dinner."

"I've already explained to you! I didn't mean it, it's just that we only started going out for a few weeks, less than a month. I thought it's a little too fast to be bringing you home to meet my dad."

"I brought you to meet my family before we're even together," Jiyong pointed out, not buying that excuse. 

Thanks to Mr. Im's playful prank, it landed his daughter into trouble and sparked off the first argument between the 2-week old couple. 

"T-That's different! W-We weren't even together back then! I went there as a capacity of a f-friend!" Since being loud wouldn't work, Yoona went for the soft tactic. "You're going to meet my dad as my boyfriend..." 

True enough, this tactic worked perfectly towards Jiyong. He toned down his anger immediately, though still sounded offended and hurt. 

"I don't understand what you're worrying about. It's only a casual dinner with your dad, it's not like I've to have dinner with the president or something." 

"I'm worried..." Yoona knew he was buying it and continued, with her head down and mumbling. "What if he doesn't accept you? What if he asks me to break up with you..." 

"Yoong, stop fretting," that did the trick as Jiyong parked his car to the side and took her hands into his, forcing her to look at him as well. "It'll be fine. I'll be okay and we'll be okay. No one is breaking up. Okay? You've watched way too much dramas." 

This silly girl. So all these while, she hid her father's dinner request from him was because she's scared that he would disapprove and they would have to be torn apart like dramas?

"You're not angry anymore?" Yoona asked softly.

"How can I stay angry at you if you're acting like this?" Jiyong gave a defeated sigh and pinched her nose as a revenge. "Just promise next time, don't hide such things from me. It really appeared like I'm a lousy boyfriend that had to be kept in discreet and this hurt my pride." 

"Yayyyy!" Yoona had a change of attitude immediately.

"Yah, actually, just now, you were acting right? You just want me to stop ignoring you right?" Jiyong was speechless. 

"Hehe..." Yoona let out guilty chuckles at the exposure of her lies. "L-Let's go to the plant shop!"

"I swear I'm really concerned about what my dad will think of you, really!" 

"Dwaesseo! You're a heartless woman that tramples on my pride, taking advantage of the fact that I'm heads over heels for you!" 

"I-I'm not! I love you too, Kwon Jiyongggg!"

"What plants are you planning to get later? We can get matching ones?"

"Awww, don't ignore me again oppa! I meant what I said!"

After all the coaxing, hoaxing and pacifying from Yoona, she finally managed to appease the big, almighty Jiyong and had to agree to the dinner that her father had been pestering her for. 

Though Jiyong sounded all cool and confident when he was in front of Yoona, when the dinner really did happen, he was nervous-wrecked. Yoona was right; what if her father doesn't accept him? What if he asks her to break up with him, thinking that he's a delinquent that isn't suitable for his goddess daughter? What if Yoona really listens to him and cut off ties with him? What if they're back to square zero, or worst still, total strangers? 

There were too many what ifs and he got dizzy just at the thought of them. 

"A-Annyeonghasaeyo..." 

Where's the Im Yoona when you need her?! 

"A-Annyeonghasaeyo," even Mr. Im was taken aback. 

He knew the guy that's coming is called Jiyong, but Jiyong is such a common name in Korea! How was he supposed to link that this Jiyong is the Kwon Jiyong, is the G-Dragon?! This daughter of his would really drive him nuts. 

"Oppa! Come in!" Yoona shouted from the kitchen, distrupting the awkward silence between the two men. 

Mr. Im feigned a few coughs, stepping aside to let Jiyong enter. Jiyong gave a humble 90-degree bow before entering. He was about to seek refuge in the kitchen but Yoona, be it intentionally or unintentionally, didn't catch the hint. 

"Oppa, I'm left with the final dish. Just go sit in the living room first! Dinner will be ready in a few!" 

Jiyong could only grit his teeth and turned back, heading to the living room instead to face her father. 

"I can't believe the Jiyong that this little imp was talking about is actually the world star GD," Mr. Im recovered from his first shock and was starting to have fun watching this young man being uneasy. 

"Y-Yeahs... I bet s-she didn't mention about me at all, did she," Jiyong was sitting all proper, palms on his knees, back straight, as though being a model student in class. 

"She mentioned BIGBANG a couple of times, mostly about Taeyang-sshi and Daesung-sshi," Mr. Im chuckled. "My older daughter is more of your fan though. They used to bicker so much whenever you guys come on TV." 

"O-Oh? H-Haha... Yeahs, she has always been openly showing her love for the both of them, even during our personal gatherings," Jiyong chuckled along, feeling his palms getting clammy.

"GD-sshi, you're feeling nervous?" Mr. Im mused. "You don't have to be so prim and proper! Just sit casually!" 

Jiyong felt like fainting there and then. This was definitely worse than his debut stage. Still, he put on a brave front, trying to come out with topics while cursing at the back of his mind for Yoona's tactless decision. 

"O-Oh right... U-Uncle Im, I actually brought a gift along... Not too sure which one you like," Jiyong extended the paper bag that he had brought along, giving it to Mr. Im. 

God knew how much he had been through just to present this bottle of soju and red wine. A week ago, he had been thinking about what would be a suitable greeting gift to present to an elder. Since Yoona's father is around the same age as his father, he had consulted his father, which resulted in an hour long lecture about soju, with his mother by the side nagging about the dos and don'ts for the upcoming dinner. Then, he had to beg TOP to sell him a bottle of red wine which he wasn't able to get it anywhere in such a short period of time. That bottle of red wine certainly did not worth a Charlotte Perriand's Tripod Low Stool, but he clenched his fists and nodded his head anyway. 

"Wow, this is... pretty impressive," Mr. Im nodded, pretty amazed by the thought that this guy had when he's picking the gift. 

He knew about the soju being one of the nicest and well-sought after brand and though he didn't know much about red wine, that bottle of red wine Jiyong brought here coincides with his birth year. 

"Hope you like it," Jiyong gave an inward sigh of relief, inferring that the gift had not done him wrong. 

At least he didn't screw up like what he did for Yoona's Christmas present. 

"Dinner is ready!"
