Part-time Devil
In the next few days, the company will be hit with its most important annual events. Specifically, the Byun Corporation is hosting Charity Night in collaboration with Oh Sehun’s company. This is deemed one of the most important nights where every future and current investors are gathered. Earning the trust of these people is the ultimate goal as Baekhyun’s company once almost failed due to skeptical behavior of certain individuals. He planned on using this as a platform to assert his power in the world of business, in order to eliminate his doubtful critics. There was just one problem. This is a 1 night and 2 days event and Baekhyun can’t control his nights.
“He’s looking for you,” the secretary informed Aera as soon as she clocked in for work.
She reluctantly entered the office, which was giving off a heavy vibe from the very start. Something was wrong.
“Sit,” he ordered.
After a few minutes of complete silence, Baekhyun finally closed his notebook. He carefully placed the notebook in front of her before explaining his plan. Inside the notebook was the list of investors and their information. Even up to the most distinctive and small characteristics were noted in there. This book was practically a blueprint of Charity Night.
“I need you to memorize everything in this book by Friday,” he instructed.
Her jaw dropped slightly. Friday as in...2 days from now? There were at least 50 names in this book, not to mention the details as well.
“You’re coming with me to Charity Night,” Baekhyun continued.
There were too many thoughts crossing her mind right now. What and why, she wanted to ask him but was still too overwhelmed from her assigned task.
“I can’t take anybody else but you,” his expression turned serious, “…and you know exactly why.”
Aera’s lips finally started to move, “Sir, I am positive that there are other employees who can do a much better job.”
Baekhyun clenched his fist tightly, frustrated and unable to say anything about the devil or his deal. It was against the rule.
