“Are you jealous?”

That annoying devil, Aera cursed mentally. She buried her face into the stack of paperwork on her desk. It was bad enough that today was Monday, but the thought of him invaded her head the entire weekend did not help one bit. Speaking of the devil himself, in this case…the human Baekhyun, happened to walk in right on cue. 

“Morning,” she said half-heartedly. 

“Mr. Byun, Oh Sehun is waiting in your office,” his secretary informed. 

“Right. His tea!” Aera suddenly blurted as she quickly stumbled out of her seat to prepare Sehun’s tea. 

A light knock interrupted the meeting. Aera, trying her best to keep a low profile, set down the freshly brewed tea in front of Sehun. Baekhyun scoffed, slightly offended that she didn’t even brew him a cup. He was her boss after all.

“As promised,” Sehun thanked her.

“I apologize for last time again, we didn’t mean to rude,” she eyed Baekhyun.

Sehun reassured that everything was fine, leading to a small conversation between the two. To his dismay, Baekhyun had no idea what they were talking about nor does he recalled being rude to his investor. Nonetheless, he pulled himself out of the conversation until she left the room. Before getting back to their meeting, he turned to his investor out of curiosity.

“Did we happen to meet outside recently?” he asked.

Sehun chuckled. At first he was uncertain, thinking that Baekhyun was one of his kind. After meeting the devil himself the other night, he finally confirmed the situation at hand. The person in front of him was just merely a vessel for the devil himself. However, he couldn’t help but wondered if the devil knew of the consequences of using a living vessel. In Sehun’s case, his vessel was obtained from an expired soul. Meaning that he acquired a body who’s life years had already ran out. There are currently two options, the devil may drain the remaining life years out of his current vessel to complete the fusion process or reverse the process in order to save his vessel’s life.
