"Hulk, this Ice-cream. Do you copy? I'll repeat Hulk-" 

"Jaemin please stop, we're on a joint call not walkie-talkies" Jeno whined.

"Jeno, let me live my stranger things fantasy. You owe me after telling me we couldn't act out H2O: Just add water." Jaemin said getting dirty looks from Yeri. 

Jeno sighed heavily as Renjun laughed. "This is Hulk, I have secured the fireworks."

"Voice Crack, are you in position with Hulk."

Renjun's laughter stopped as he remembered his name. "Yes ice cream, we are ready when you are." 

"Okay then let's get started!" Jaemin placed his phone in his pocket and the call was still ongoing. 

Jaemin looked over at Yeri and smiled. Yeri's face is covered with disgust as Jaemin walks closer to her. 

"You're helping right?" 

"I don't know, you called me a ing carny."

"Yerim, please just imagine. If Mark and Donghyuck have kids you can kidnap them all the time." Jaemin grabbed Yeri's uniform and cutely chuckled.

"That was one time!" Yeri's face turned pink as she let the last pair of people onto the ferris wheel. "Give me twenty bucks or forget your whole plan." 

Jaemin's smile faded. "You're kidding."

"No, you called me a carny and brought up a painful memory of me being separated from my son. So give me a twenty or bye bye." 

"You're an evil woman Yeri. You can't help but be greedy when it comes to true love!"

"I'll make it twenty-five." Yeri said unamused by his words.

"Okay, okay." Jaemin groaned handing her a twenty.

Yeri pushed a button and the wheel began spinning. Mark and Donghyuck were in cart number 8. Yeri had Jaemin keep an eye on the cart and told him to tell her when to stop.

"Mark, seriously are you okay?" Donghyuck's worried voice flooded his ears. 

Mark didn't realize he was internally blacking out. He shook his head and Donghyuck leaned on his shoulders and locked eyes with him. 

Donghyuck gave him a 'tell me what's wrong' look and Mark felt bad for making me worry.

"I'm afraid of… heights. I'm sorry for ruining your night hyuckie." 

Donghyuck smacked the back of Mark's head as gently as he could. "You're so dumb Markus. You could never ruin this date for me," Donghyuck locked his hands with Mark's and smiled at the older boy. "Mark you should have told me you were afraid." 

Mark began holding Donghyuck's hand tightly as the ride began. "I know, but you looked so happy… I didn't want your smile to fade because of me and my fear." 

Donghyuck looked down at their interlocking hands and decided to change the subject. "You have really nice hands Markus." 

Mark looked over at Donghyuck in horror. "Don't tell me you have a hand ." 

Donghyuck's ear lit up as Mark's words clicked in his head. "No! I don't, I just- I thought- your hands are nice. Leave me alone." 

Mark had a eating grin as a flustered Donghyuck cried out for him to believe him. 

"Hyuckie, it's okay. I just never expect this from you." Donghyuck questioned this whole date with Mark the second those words came out. 

"Mark that's not fu-" The cart stopped moving and the lights went out. Donghyuck felt Mark grasp tighten. 

"What's happening?" 

"I don't kn-" pop pop pop

The night sky filled with bright lights. Red, blue, and rainbow filled the darkness. Donghyuck stood up and pulled Mark to the tiny window. 

"You can see the whole town from here Mark!" Donghyuck's excitement wore off on Mark. 

"It's really pretty, but whose light fireworks in May? Shouldn't they save it for July."

Donghyuck nodded. "That's a good point, but let's just enjoy this." 

Mark wrapped his hands around Donghyuck's waist. He felt Donghyuck shiver and he couldn't help but laugh. 

It had been a good three minutes that they stood there and watched the fireworks. Donghyuck turned towards Mark with a look on his face. 

"What is it?" 

"It's just, shouldn't we be doing something else right now?" Donghyuck said, biting his lips.

"What are we going to do if we're stuck here hyuckie?" 

Donghyuck's tan face slowly turned rosy and the moon's reflection didn't help but add to the romantic atmosphere.

"You know, I thought we could… yeah." 

Mark then caught on and a smirk graced his lips. "We could yeah? I'm not catching on here?" 

Donghyuck's heart skipped a beat as he looked into Mark's eyes. The whole confident gay facade slipped away. 

In this moment it was Donghyuck being his true shy self. Donghyuck pointed at his lips then Mark's hoping the older would understand. 

Mark smiled. "Nope, not till you ask." 

Donghyuck turned around to face Mark. The second he did he planted his face into Mark's shoulder.

Donghyuck began mumbling against his arm and Mark pulled his face away. Mark grabbed Donghyuck's face with both hands. Each hand rubbing the boy's cheeks. 

"That's cheating, ask me like this." 

Donghyuck's dominant persona came back that instant. "Mark, if you don't kiss me right now, I swear you'll never see me again." 

Mark giggled leaning down to the younger's face. "You're so in love with me, you couldn't live without me hyuckie."

"Ma-" Donghyuck was cut off with Mark's lips locking with his. Mark's hold on his face was so gentle it felt like Mark was scared to break him.

The biggest firework of the night went off as Donghyuck's hand made their way to Mark's nape. It was an explosion of color that two boys would remember forever.

The colors that filled the sky were now gone as the lights started up again. The ferris wheel was up and running again but the two boys stayed the same. 

Both smiling as they pulled each other closer.

"Jeno, Renjun… I spy with my little eye Markhyuck making out. We have succeeded in our mission!"

"That's cool, Renjun and I are going home see you." 

"Wait no-" Jaemin yelled as the call ended. Jaemin looked over at Yeri and smiled cutely again. "Can you drive me home?" 

Yeri smiled. "No."

"I'll tell you everything sooyoung likes, I know her brother so we talk all the time." Jaemin said, poking Yeri's uniform.

"Whatever, Ten's already here to take over anyway." 

Jaemin pulled out the clown glasses once more. "It's all in a day's work for the amazing, spectacular, and undeniably handsome, Jaemin."

Yeri shook her head as she walked past him. "You're such a ing cliche dude."
