“What happened to Rein-chan?!” asked Hikaru as he saw Kei carrying the unconscious Rein who is full of blood and wounds. 

“Harumi. She did this to Rein.” said Kei with anger in his voice. The driver came and Kei immediately went inside the car with Rein then they speed off. 

 

“! This is all my fault!” said Hikaru as he is now crying and panicking 

“Yo Hika, what’s wrong? Why are you crying? Did you got dumped or something?” teased Keito as he and Chiaki approached Hikaru while eating their popsicles. 

“Rein-chan...Harumi beat her up and Kei took her to the hospital just now.” cried Hikaru which made both Keito and Chiaki froze at their place. 

“Wha...what did you say?” asked Chiaki who looks so surprised as she lost her grip of her popsicle. 

“What and how did it happened?! Where was Kei when that took place?!” asked Keito who looks shock as well 

“Kei was asked to go to the faculty room, Rein said she will just drink at the drinking fountain then she went gone! Kei found her but it was too late, she got beaten up by Harumi and her friends.” told Hikaru as he is still crying and panicking 

"Nee-chan, something bad happened to Rein. She's got beaten by Harumi and her friends.” said Chiaki who is now talking with Satomi over the phone 

 

“WHAT DID YOU SAID?!” blurted out Satomi as she sit up the bed at the infirmary which made her whined in pain because of her sprained foot 

“What happened?” asked Kota who looked surprised with the sudden actions of Satomi 

“Where is she now? Ok, ok. Where are you? I'll meet you there and let’s go to Rein.” said Satomi as she hangs up “Rein got beaten by Harumi and her friends.” said Satomi as she tried to get out of bed but is still wincing in pain 

“Don’t move! Your foot my get worst.” said Kota as he tried to made Satomi lay down again 

“I cannot lay here knowing my friend is not ok. Please, Kota. I need to see Rein.” said Satomi as she insists getting out of bed 

“I guess no one can stop you ne.” sighed Kota as his back was facing you, “Let me carry you at my back, you cannot force yourself to walk.” said Kota 

“Ehh? No need ne. I can walk, Kota.” Satomi said 

“Please, you won’t stay here but this time please listen to me as to not make your situation worst.” said Kota firmly, his back still facing Satomi 

“Err.” sighed Satomi as she slowly climbed Kota’s back and off, they went to see their friends 

 

“Nee-chan! What happened to you?!” asked Chiaki worriedly as she ran towards Satomi and Kota upon seeing them 

“You know that your nee-chan is not sporty right? But still insisted to participate at mukade kyoso.” Satomi laughed faintly and sadness can be seen at her face as she is still worrying about Rein, “Let’s go to Rein now.” she said and they ride at Kota’s car. 

 

At the hospital, they asked for Rein’s room number and immediately went there. They saw Kei and Rein’s grandpa inside her room. 

 

“Yuuji-san” they all said and bowed at Rein’s grandpa as he nods at them 

“How’s Rein?” asked Hikaru who is obviously cried his eyes out 

“The doctor said she is ok now. She got wounds and a broken arm but they tend to it.” explained Kei as they all look at Rein who is full of bruise and wound and has a cast at her arm. 

“Broken arm?! Will she be able to use it? Will she be able to participate in basketball? Will she get back to her old self?!” asked Hikaru who is now crying once again 

“Baka! Don’t cry. Rein is not dead.” said Kota as she tries to hold his tears back 

“Rein!” cries Hikaru out 

“Rein-chan, why didn’t you fought back? You saved us from the thugs before but why did you let Harumi do this to you?” said Chiaki in a crack voice as she went near Rein and holds her free hand 

“She might not want to drag Yuuji-san's name if she fought back so she just took all the hit that Harumi did to her.” said Satomi as she also went near Rein and wipes her tears 

“Who did this to my granddaughter?” asked Rein’s grandpa in his ever cold tone that even Kei felt a chill down his spine upon hearing Rein’s grandpa talked 

“It was Yamazaki Harumi and her friends, Yuuji-san.” said Kei full of anger in his voice 

“Souka. My granddaughter did all she can to protect me, it is time that I do the same. I will never let anyone hurt my granddaughter without regretting it.” said Rein’s grandpa with poker face but his voice is too cold and evil that even Hades will get scared. 

 

After a while, Rein regain her consciousness. 

“Rein-chan!” said Chiaki as she felt Rein’s hand move 

“Rein-chan!” shouted Hikaru as he immediately went near Rein, shoving Kei away 

“Oi!” sneered Kei as he hurriedly went to Rein as well. 

 

I slowly began regaining consciousness, as I opened my eyes, I was surprised seeing all my friends here, and even grandpa?! I looked around and realized I am at the hospital. I tried to move but I feel pain all over my body. 

“Woah, what's...going on? Why are you all...here? You didn’t told me...we’ll have a meeting here.” I tried to joke to lighten the mood 

“Baka! You got us all worried.” said Satomi as I saw her wiping her tears away 

“What do you feel my dear granddaughter?” asked grandpa as he went towards me and caressed my face. He looks at me so gently and tears are forming at his eyes 

“I...I’m fine...I’m sorry I made you worry. Please don’t worry about me.” I said weakly 

“Rein-chan gomene! This is all my fault! I should’ve gone with you to the drinking fountain. Gomen ne!!” wailed Hikaru like a baby 

“Geez Hika-kun, I didn’t know you’re a crybaby.” I tried to laugh but it just made my wounds sting in pain, “Ahh. Please don’t cry, I'm not dead you know.” I chuckled weakly 

“Rein, you should take a rest until you regain your strength.” grandpa told me 

“Rein-chan, since this occurred inside our school, the student council will not just stand idly and won’t do anything about this. I promise that as the student council president, we will make all the necessary consequence for Harumi’s actions.” said Kota seriously 

“That girl can be crazy as hell ne. Geez, all you do for love.” I said weakly and looked at Kei 

“I won’t let her get away from this.” said Kei 

“Hai! I'll make sure she will regret doing this to you, Rein-chan! I'll make a ball fly towards her when the volleyball team and basketball team used the court together.” said Hikaru as he sniffs and cries 

“Now you won’t do that Yaotome. As much as we want that Harumi deadmeat, we cannot hurt her or else it will just backfire on us.” said Keito as he gives a tissue on Hikaru 

“Keito is right ne. We cannot hurt her...directly.” Satomi smirked emitting dark aura around her 

“I heard you loud and clear Nee-chan.” agreed Chiaki as she fixed her eyeglasses and is it just me? Or the temperature of the room started to get cold? 

“Ok~~ I guess we need to go now so that Rein can have her rest.” laughed Kota nervously as he assists Satomi 

“Hai. I agree. You get some rest now Rein-chan.” said Keito as he laughed nervously as well and assists Chiaki and drags the wailing Hikaru outside the room 

“Oh. Ok. Jyaa ne!” I bid them goodbye 

“I’ll be going to, my dear granddaughter. As much as I want to stay here with you, I need to do some stuffs.” said grandpa as he pats my head gently 

“I’ll look after her, Yuuji-san. I’ll make sure that nothing bad will happen to her. I put my life in line on that promise.” Mr. Ice Guy said in full seriousness. Like really, put your life just for that? 

“Wakatta.” nodded grandpa as he pats Mr. Ice Guy’s shoulder and then he left the room as well. 

 

“What do you feel now?” asked Mr. Ice Guy as it was just the two of us inside the room 

“My whole body aches.” I said as I tried to fix my position 

“Don’t force yourself.” said Mr. Ice Guy as he helped me fix my position 

“Gomen, for causing trouble.” I looked down 

“What are you sorry for? You didn’t do anything. In fact, you’re the victim here.” he said 

“Arigatou. You saved me. If you didn’t came, I might ended up with more serious injuries.” I said as he fixed my pillow 

“It’s my job to protect you. I wasn’t able to do that a while ago, I won’t let it happen again.” he said in seriousness in his eyes. “Please take a rest now. So you will regain your energy.” he added 

 

The next day, all my results turned out to be normal so the doctor told me that I can be discharged and just stay at home for full recovery. Grandpa fetched me from the hospital and took me home. 

 

“Please take some rest, Rein. Don’t move around too much, we don’t want your condition to become worse.” said grandpa 

“Hai.” I nodded 

“Yuuji-san, please allow me to look after Rein as well, I will attend to all her needs.” Mr. Ice Guy butted in which surprised me 

“You don’t need to do that--” I was interrupted 

“I insist.” Mr. Ice Guy said firmly which made me sigh at me bed 

“If that’s what you want, it’s fine with me.” said my grandpa as he left us alone in my room 

 

“You’re weird Mr. Ice Guy, sometimes you can be caring, but most of the time you’re cold as ice.” I said 

“Interacting with people is not my thing.” he once again came back on his cold self 

“Souka. But you’re quite close with Hika-kun, Kota-kun and Keito-kun?” I said 

“They’re my childhood friends.” he answered briefly 

“Souka.” I uttered and looked outside the window 

“Inoo-sama, here is Rein-sama's food.” said one of the maids as she hands a tray of food to Mr. Ice Guy 

“Arigatou.” I heard him say and went towards me 

“Here, eat first.” he said as he helped me straighten up my sit and feeds me 

“You know you don’t need to do this right?” I said as I eat 

“It’s the least I can do. Plus, you shouldn’t strain your arm.” he said 

“I feel like a handicap. You know, I'm used to wounds, bruises and scratches. These are mild ones ne.” I chuckled “Before, me and our members went into a fight with our enemy clan. They tried to make a scene at our school so we didn’t let that happened. I kinda missed fighting like that. I can use all my strength to punch and kick the enemy. Unlike with Harumi, I can’t hurt her because she is a girl, plus, I can’t drag down grandpa’s name.” I said 

“But you’re a girl as well, Rein. I know you’re tough and strong, but your life is not the same as before. You will take over Yuuji-san's company and he cannot afford to lose you. That is why, please take good care of yourself. I'll do everything to protect you as well.” he said as he looks into my eyes full of sincerity 

“Hai.” is all I could utter to say as I felt my cheeks heat 

“What else do you want to do?” Mr. Ice Guy asked which made a lightbulb switched inside my head 

“Please read a manga for me.” I said 

“Ha?” he asked confusedly as he looks at me 

“I want to read my manga but I won’t be able to hold it properly, so read it for me please?” I said and gives him my puppy dog eyes. I don’t know what’s gotten to me but I felt like a want to for a while 

“Aish. Fine.” he said and gets a manga and reads it monotonously 

“Stop, stop!” I protested 

“What is it this time?” he sighed 

“Can you make it more lively? If you read it monotonously, I won’t be able to imagine the scenes in the manga. Read it passionately. Read every dialogue in character.” I pouted which made him surprised 

“Do I really need to do that?” he asked exasperatedly 

“If you don’t want then you can just leave me alone. I'll just sleep.” I said and look down 

“Aish! Ok, ok! I'll read it again.” he scratched the back of his head in frustration and read the manga in character. I laugh as he do so. 

“You’re playing tricks on me!” he said 

“No I am not.” I said innocently which made him get back into reading once again 

 

At their school. 

 

“Where is my desk and chair?!” Harumi exclaimed as she saw that her table and chair are missing. She looked around and nobody from her class are paying attention to her 

“I SAID WHERE ARE MY ING DESK AND CHAIR?!” she is now in hysterical mode and still, nobody is paying attention to her. She then looked outside the window and saw her desk dumped at the garbage area 

“!!!” she said irritated and immediately went out their room to get her desk. As she is about to get her desk, she was shocked when piles of wet garbage were thrown at her from above. She looked up but didn’t see anyone, she just heard someone saying, “Garbage like you belongs to garbage can.” she gets her desk and looked for her chair. She looked around and saw it all broken at the nearby area. 

 

“You think you can get me with this?!” she shouted angrily as she went inside their classroom 

“Yamazaki-san, you stink! Get out of the room, now! What are you doing looking like that?!” scolded her teacher as she tries to get inside the room 

“But this isn’t my fault, sensei! There are people who are bullying me!” protested Harumi 

“Out! Now!” shouted their teacher, ignoring her protest 

 

During lunchtime, as Harumi is holding her tray at the canteen, a student tripped her making her fall on her food. Everyone laughed at how she looked which made her ran away from the canteen. 

 

At the school’s rooftop. 

“Isn’t it a bit too much for Harumi?” said Keito as they eat their lunch 

“This is only the beginning, Keito-kun. She almost killed Rein-chan, we cannot let her go like that.” said Chiaki as she fixed her eyeglasses and looks really scary 

“Kowaii na~ I didn’t know the kawaii Chika-chan can be this scary ne.” said Hikaru as he hides behind Keito “But she is right! She has to pay for what she done.” he added 

“She’ll face her consequences alone since Yuuji-san had her five friends get kicked out our school. He purposely let Harumi stay here in our school so she can taste what hell is like.” Satomi said as dark aura surrounds her again 

“The student council as well as the teachers are turning a blind eye on this even if she complaints. Yuuji-san is much more powerful than Harumi’s family.” said Kota and gulps as he saw Satomi emit dark aura again 

 

It was hell week for Harumi. One day, her locker was destroyed and all the things inside of it are thrown at the different trash cans of the school, there is also a day wherein her shoes got stolen so she went to school the whole day and come home just wearing socks. There's also a day wherein her P.E. uniform was thrown in the middle of the swimming pool or her uniform had gone missing so she had no choice but to go home early, wearing her bathrobe. It became too stressful for her because even if she complaints at the teacher or the student council, they won’t hear her out. Because of that, she decided to drop out of school since her family had gone bankrupt as well because Rein’s grandfather pulled out as the major investor at the company of Harumi’s family. All the other company who learned the pull out of Rein’s grandfather as the major stock investor also did the same which lead to their bankruptcy. 

 

Weeks passed by and Rein is now fully recovered. Her cast is already gone and she can go back to school. 

 

It's been weeks since I wasn’t able to go to school. It's kinda refreshing getting back. I am now back at my old self and I'm on my way to the locker area together with Satomi, Chiaki and Mr. Ice Guy when I heard a very familiar voice yelling my name which caught the attention of all the students at the hallway 

“Rein-chaaan! It is you!” it was Hikaru who is now running towards me, “How are you now ne? Are you fully recovered? Mou~~ I missed you!” pouted Hikaru as he hugged me and rubs his cheeks at me like a cat which ironically, he was so scared of 

“Don’t pester Rein this early in the morning.” said Mr. Ice Guy coldly as he pulled Hikaru away from me 

“Ha! If I know, you’re just jealous because you cannot hug Rein-chan.” said Hikaru proudly as he sticks his tongue out at Kei 

“Rein-chan, it is nice seeing you back.” smiled Kota as he walks towards us together with Keito 

“Yo, Rein-chan. I'm glad you looked ok now. Even your cast is gone.” smiled Keito 

“Ok, we can catch up later, but for now, let’s head to class. The bell just rang.” said Mr. Ice Guy as he drags Hikaru towards our classroom. 

 

What happened to Harumi wasn’t a secret from me. Of course, I have my two reporters: Mi-chan and Chi-chan. They told me everything that happened to Harumi. I felt bad of course, because I am not that bad but if it is the idea of grandpa, who are we to go against it. He is scary when he gets really angry, I must say. 

 

Everyone at the school is asking if I'm ok. Geez, did I became instant famous because of that incident? “Newsflash: newly transferred student, helplessly bullied and was almost beat to death by the female volleyball team’s captain.” Is that how it went while I was absent?! Whole day, students came towards me asking if I was ok and how am I, making Mr. Ice Guy a little bit paranoid since there are lots of students giving me their attention. 

 

“Yatta! I can finally play some video games. Let's hurry and get back home immediately.” I said excitedly 

“Sorry to pop your bubble, Rein. But have you forgotten what Yuuji-san said before we went off to school a while ago?” said Mr. Ice Guy 

“Eh?” I tilted my head in confusion 

“Looks like she was zoning off a while ago when Yuuji-san is talking to her.” sighed Chiaki 

“Now what is it, really?! Spit it out!” I exclaimed 

“Yuuji-san told you that you’ll start your private tutorial in business and proper etiquette later.” sighed Satomi 

“EHH?! Oh no, I feel like my whole body aches again! My arm! Ouch!” I tried to act hurt as best as I can but these three didn’t even batted an eye about it and continue on what they are doing as we ride our way home. Sometimes I am thinking if they are really my friends? 

 

As soon as we arrive at the house, grandpa greeted us. 

“Tadaima.” the four of us said 

“Okairi. Good that you’re here now Rein, I will introduce you your tutors ne.” started grandpa 

“This is Shigeaki Kato, your tutor for everything you need to know in business and this is Tegoshi Yuya, your tutor for proper etiquette.” introduced my grandpa as the two guys in front of me bowed at me and I feel that my happy days are now over.
