“Anoo. Daijoubu?” I was mesmerized by this guy’s smile when I came back to reality when he spoke 

“Ah! Gomen. Hai. Daijoubu.” I said and tried to fix myself but still felt my legs wobbling so I’m still losing my balance  

“Careful ne.” the guy said as he assists me in staying still 

“Arigatou.” I said when I finally get to balance myself 

“You must be Rein.” The guy said which surprised me. He knows my name? 

“Ah, hai. How did you know my name?” I asked him 

“I’m Taisuke Fujigaya. I’m Kei’s cousin and I heard many things about you.” Smiled this guy named Taisuke 

“Eh? You’re Kei’s cousin?” I blinked. I can’t seem to find any resemblance on them. I mean, they’re just cousins but there should still any resemblance, right? This guy over here looks outgoing and he smiles a lot. While Kei on the other hand is our Mr. Jack Frost. Cold as ice and his actions are very calculated. 

“You want me to teach you how to roller skate?” he asked me 

“Oh. If it’s ok with you then I’ll accept it. I’m kinda having a hard time here though.” I said 

“Wakatta.” Smiled Taisuke as he guided and teach me how to roller skates 

 

“Rein, it’s getting dark now. Let’s go and dinner will be—” Kei was interrupted to what he was saying when he saw that Taisuke is holding my hands as he is teaching me how to brake in roller skates 

“Keichan!” exclaimed Taisuke as he saw Kei and immediately went onto him and ruffles his hair. “How are you ne? You’re getting taller ne!” he added 

“Taipi. What are you doing here?” asked Kei as he fixed his hair 

“We got a break from University so I decided to visit you. Looks like I came at the right timing because I saw Rein here.” He smiled as he looks at me 

“I see that you’re already close with her in such a short time.” Kei said 

“I saw her practicing roller skates a while ago, she was about to fall into the bush, good thing I caught her so she fell for me instead.” Laughs Taisuke which made my cheeks hot 

“Ehh?” I uttered 

“What are you blabbering about, Taipi?” sighed Kei 

“Joudan desu! Geez you still haven’t changed, Kei. You’re still uptight like an old man.” Laughs Taisuke as he ruffles Kei’s hair once again. “Learn how to loosen up will yah?” he said 

“I’m just joking Rein. Gomen if I startled you. I’m nice you know.” He laughs as he looks at me 

“Iie. Daijoubu. Thank you for teaching me, Fujigaya-san.” I bowed at him 

“No need to be formal with me ne. Just call me Taipi.” He smiled “You’re a fast learner ne. Oh! Tomorrow’s Saturday right? You wanna come with me to the skating area? You can practice some tricks there.” He said 

“Uwaaah! I want!” I said right away 

“That sounds dangerous, Taipi. Rein might break a bone.” Protested Kei 

“Oh come on, Kei. I assessed her already when I was teaching her a while ago. She is a fast learner and I think she can learn some tricks right away.” Defended Taipi 

“I want to go there as well Kei.” I said 

“Geez, don’t ask for my permission. You should ask Haruma-san’s permission though.” Kei sighed 

“Doing!” I exclaimed as I skate my way inside the house 

“Oi Rein! Be careful! Why are you skating inside the house?!” scolded Kei 

“She’s a nice and energetic girl ne. I like her.” Said Taisuke as he watches Rein go inside the house 

“Ehh?” said Kei in full surprise as he looks at Taisuke 

 

“Papaaaa!” I shouted as I skate inside the house. Yes, the house is THAT spacious wherein you can manage to skate your way around it. I found papa at the dining area. 

“Yes baby? What is it? Is there a problem?” papa asked as he saw me come in 

“Papa, do you know Taipi? Kei’s cousin? He is here and he taught me how to skates and he asked me if I want to go to the skating area tomorrow since it’s Saturday and I wanna go. Please let me go. Please, please, pleeeeease!” I said continuously without taking a pause to breath as I pleaded to papa 

“Woah, woah. Calm down baby.” Papa chuckled “First, you’re all sweaty so wipe yourself first ne.” he said as he asks for a towel and wipes my sweat. “You mentioned Taipi? Of course I know that kid. So he is here? Where is he? He should join us for dinner. I haven’t seen that kid for a long time ne. He taught you roller skating? Sugoi! Oh, he asked you to go to the skating area tomorrow? Well, I’m not sure though. You might hurt yourself there, baby.” Papa said worriedly which crushed my happiness 

“I told you he won’t let you.” Said Kei as Taipi and him went at the dining area as well. 

“Don’t worry Haruma-san. Rein is safe with me. Plus, she is a fast learner and I think she can do some skate tricks already. Also, don’t you feel bad crushing your baby’s happiness?” said Taipi in my defense 

“Taipi! Good to see you again. How are you? How’s University?” said papa as he saw Taipi “Mou! You know how to attack me ne.” papa pouted. “Fine, fine. I’ll let Rein come with you since I trust you. But you have to make sure that my baby won’t get hurt or else I’ll break your bones into pieces.” Papa said as dark aura surrounds him 

“Of course, Haruma-san.” Smiled Taipi 

“Uwaaah! Yatta! Arigatou, papa!” I said happily as I hugged him tight 

“You’re really good in guilt tripping, you sly.” sighed Kei which made Taisuke laugh 

“Geez, Rein. Why so loud?” asked Satomi as Chiaki and her went to the dining area as well. “Oh, a visitor. Hello.” She added as they noticed Taipi and bowed at him 

“Yo! Fujigaya Taisuke desu. This guy’s cousin. Yoroshiku.” Smiled Taipi 

“He taught me how to roller skate a while ago ne!” I said and proudly skate around the dining area 

“Rein, you might bumped onto things.” Scolded Kei 

“Kei is like an old man ne.” commented Chiaki 

“See. I’m not the only one who can notice.” Laughs Taipi 

 

The next day, I woke up early because I was so excited in going to the skating area. You see, when I got myself into something that I like, I will do my best to learn it right away. I got ready and went downstairs. I was surprised when I see Taipi already at our living room and is talking to papa. 

“Taipi, you’re here already.” I said 

“Ohayo, Rein! Hai, I don’t wanna make you wait for me so I came here early.” He said 

“Let’s have our breakfast first, ok?” said papa then we went to the dining area. Satomi, Chiaki and Kei soon got there as well. 

“You two got dates today?” I asked Satomi and Chiaki as the both of them are dolled up 

“Hai.” they said in perfect sync 

“Ahh~ high school love life eh. How about you, Rein-chan? Do you have a boyfriend?” asked Taipi which made me choke on my food 

“Ehh? Betsuni.” I said 

“Ehh? Hontou? How about suitors? Do you have suitors?” he asked 

“Suitors? There are none as well.” I said 

“Ehh?! But you’re pretty and cool as well. What is wrong with the guys at your school?! Ne, ne, can I apply as your suitor?” Taipi said which made Kei choke on the food he is eating. 

“Oi Taipi.” he said 

“Oi! Oi! Are you trying to hit on my baby?!” said papa 

“Just asking Haruma-san. Geez. Such a strict papa. Demo, what if I courted Rein, will you give me your permission, Haruma-san?” he added 

“Well, if my baby wants to be courted by you then who am I to stop it?” papa said 

“What if Kei courted your daughter?” asked Taipi which made Kei’s eyes wide 

“Oi Taipi! Stop blabbering things to Haruma-san!” said Kei 

“Eh? Doue? Is there no chance for you to court Rein, Kei?” asked Taipi 

“Well…erm…” Kei stuttered 

“Ehem. You’re talking as if I’m not here ne?” I butted in 

“Gomen Rein” chuckled Taipi 

“If you were to choose between Kei and Taisuke-san, who will you choose, Rein-chan?” Chiaki asked which I prayed she didn’t. 

“Ehhh?” I asked in wide eyes “Why do I need to choose?” I added 

“Come on, Rein! This is just an “if” situation ne. I wanna know as well.” Satomi chimed in. I’ll seriously kill these two. Why put me on the hot seat all of a sudden?! 

“I…I don’t know ne. I’m not thinking that kind of stuffs.” I said and eat my breakfast 

“Geez. Why do you have to be KJ?”pouted Satomi and Chiaki 

 

After eating. 

“Haruma-san, we should be going now.” Said Taipi as we wear our roller skates. 

“You plan to go on skates there?” asked Kei as he was about to go to us 

“You plan to come with us?” asked Taipi 

“Hai. I’m her bodyguard. It’s normal for me to be with her anywhere she go.” Said Kei 

“The last time I took you there, your anxiety raise because of the stunts we’re doing. You told me you don’t want to go there ever again.” Said Taipi 

“I’m just going there for Rein.” Kei said 

“Are you really gonna go with us, Kei? I can here you nagging me already.” I butted in. Besides, I’m still awkward around you, you know! 

“If Rein’s safety is your concern, have you forgotten that I’m a black belter in Taekwondo and I also took Muay Thai before? She is safe with me. No need to worry ne.” smiled Taipi 

“I think it is going to be fine, Kei. You don’t need to devote yourself as Rein’s bodyguard. I understand you have your life too so enjoy your weekend and do what you want to do.” Papa butted in 

“Demo…I…wakatta.” Kei sighed in defeat 

“We’ll be going now, Haruma-san.” Taipi said and off we went 

 

It was fun roller skating outside the household. I’m all hyped up now. Few minutes later, we arrived at the skating area. There were guys there already and doing some tricks. They looked so pro on doing so. 

“Yo Taipi!” greeted one of the guys. The shortest one among them. 

“Yo KitaMitsu!” greeted back Taipi 

“Oi oi oi. Now look at this guy over here. Who is that girl with you?” asked another guy with a curly hair 

“Is she your girlfriend?” added another guy in a cap. 

“Geez. She is not my girlfriend. She is Rein, my friend.” Taipi said 

“Rein-chan, I want you to meet my childhood friends. They also attend the same University as mine. This is Kitayama Hiromitsu, Senga Kento, Miyata Toshiya, Yokoo Wataru, Tamamori Yuta and Nikaido Takashi.” Introduced Taipi as he pointed them one by one. 

“Yoroshiku Rein!” they greeted at me 

“Yoroshiku.” I said 

“Uwaaah! Korosensei?!” Miyata exclaimed as he pointed at Korosensei who is hanging at my bag 

“Hai. You know him?” I asked 

“You’re an otaku? Otaku desu!” he said proudly and do his otaku dance *fans of Kisumai will surely know this J* 

“Geez this guy.” As we laughed at Miyata 

 

On the other hand. 

“That guy looks like he got along right away with Rein-chan!” pouted Hikaru as Kei and him are hiding behind the bushes. This scene looks familiar, don’t you think? 

“Shh. They might hear you. Anyway, what are you doing here?” whispered Kei 

“I saw you tailing on Rein and Taipi. Why do you always follow Rein whenever she is on a date?” whispered Hikaru 

“I’m not following her. I’m just making sure she is ok.” Whispered Kei 

“Then why the hell are we hiding? Shouldn’t you just told them you wanna come too?” whispered Hikaru 

“I told them that but Rein seemed not to like it when I’m around.” Whispered Kei sadly 

“What are you saying? Rein is fond of you so why say that? Besides, if that’s true, then why did you still followed them? Tell me, you’re jealous, aren’t you?” whispered Hikaru as he smiled cheekily 

“Ehh? I am not.” Whispered Kei 

“Kei, why are you in denial king? It’s written all over your face. You are jealous to your cousin. Look at him, he just met Rein yesterday but he is making a move on her already. While you on the other side knew Rein for months but haven’t done any moves on her yet. And here you are hiding behind these bushes just to tail on them? Geez Kei, level up your game will yah! Not because you two are always together, means that she will fall for you. Rein is not an easy to get girl, ok. If you like her, tell her directly. Stop acting so cool and mysterious by not talking much. Geez this guy! At this rate, I am rooting for Taipi more than you because he is man enough to make a move on Rein. Aish!” said Hikaru as he scolded Kei 

 

Back at the skating area. 

“So you’re here to practice ne.” said Tamamori 

“Hai. I just learned roller skating yesterday. Thanks to Taipi.” I smiled 

“Uwaah! You’re a fast learner ne. I remembered having lots of bruises before actually able to roller skate right.” Laughed Senga 

“If you want to learn more, let KitaMitsu teach you. Among us, he is a pro in roller skates since he started since he was young. He taught most of us how to skates ne.” added Tamamori 

“I heard my name. Doue?” butted KitaMitsu 

“You should teach Rein some tricks and tips in roller skating, KitaMitsu.” Said Senga 

“Is that all? No problem ne.” smiled KitaMitsu and he taught me some tricks and tips 

 

I learned a lot and tried the tricks KitaMitsu taught me. Surprisingly, I did well. 

“Sugoi ne Rein!” said Nikaido 

“Ne, let’s grab some lunch first. I’m starving.” Said Yokoo 

“Yosh!” said Miyata happily 

“Rein, come here. You’re all sweaty ne.” said Taipi as he wipes the sweat on my forehead 

“Aww, Fujigaya otousan is back.” Teased KitaMitsu 

“Geez this guy.” Chuckled Tamamori 

“Urusai.” Laughed Taipi “Let’s just eat.” He said and we went onto a restaurant to grab something to eat. 

 

“Do we still follow them?” asked Hikaru as Kei didn’t answered him and followed Taipi and his friends 

“So we’re still following them. Ok.” Sighed Hikaru 

 

At the restaurant. 

“Ne Taipi, are you sure you’re not dating Rein-chan?” asked Nikaido 

“I am not. We’re just friends.” Smiled Taipi 

“Friends? You’re not like that with your friends. You’re not that sweet towards us!” pouted Miyata 

“Eww! Why should I?” laughed Taipi 

“But be careful with this guy, Rein. He is a chick magnet ne.” warned Yokoo 

“Oi Yokoomama! What are you trying to say?” asked Taipi 

“That you’re a chick magnet.” Emphasized Yokoo which earned a laugh at everyone 

“Oi! Don’t poison Rein’s mind. That is not true Rein-chan. I never even had girlfriends.” Said Taipi as he looked at me cutely 

“No girlfriends but you have lots of flings!” laughed Tamamori 

“Oi! That is not true!” pouted Taipi 

“You guys look so close with each other ne. Kawaii.” I laughed 

“You betcha. We knew each other’s secrets ever since we were small.” Said KitaMitsu 

“We’re just joking about Taipi. He just looks like a , but he is nice and never did had a girlfriend nor flings.” Laughed Senga 

“It’s the girls who chases after him.” Laughed Nikaido 

“I wish all are being chased by girls ne.” said Miyata dreamily 

“They chase you too! When you creeped them out.” Laughed Tamamori 

“Oi Tamachan! Urusai. You’re just jealous with those girls. Ha!” said Miyata proudly. 

 

After we ate, we went to the arcade and played some games. After getting tired at the arcade, we went near the bay wherein lots of people come during the afternoon. 

 

“What are we doing here? I asked as I saw them wearing their roller skates once again. 

“Whenever we have free time, we always go here and do some stunts ne. People like to watch us though.” Said Taipi 

“Uwaaah. That looks fun. I’ll watch you all first.” I said and took a seat. Then, they started doing some stunts on the stone benches and on the stairs. These guys are crazy pro! 

“Woah! Sugoi ne!” I said in amazement 

“Come and join us Rein!” said Miyata which made me put on my roller skates as well and do some stunts 

“You’re good at this Rein.” Said Tamamori 

“Hai. It’s like you already know how to roller skates for years!” said KitaMitsu 

“Geez. Small thing.” I smirked and did a stunt 

 

“Goodness! Did you saw how Rein flew from the stairs?!” said Hikaru as he shakes Kei out of adrenaline rush as they watch Rein and the guys do some stunts 

“I can see it clearly if you are not shaking me. Baka.” Sneered Kei as he watches intently 

 

“Good job, Rein!” Taipi said as he smiled at me. 

“I wish we can still bond like this more often but University life is killing us.” Sighed Nikaido as we are now taking our rest at the benches and eating our crepes 

“Gambatte on University life ne. Whenever you have time, come and visit again.” I smiled at them 

“It was nice to meet you Rein.” Smiled KitaMitsu which earned the nods of the others 

“Hai. Same.” I smiled back at them 

“So we’ll be going now ne. We’ll leave the two of you so you can focus on your date.” Teased Senga 

“Oi Taipi, don’t so anything weird on Rein, ok?” warned Tamamori 

“And what will I do to her?! Geez.” Pouted Taipi 

“See you at Uni, Taipi.” KitaMitsu said and they waved us goodbye 

 

“You wanna go home or you wanna stroll around first?” Taipi asked me 

“Let’s stroll around a bit ne.” I said 

“Did you had fun, Rein? I hope those guys didn’t creeped you out.” Laughed Taipi as we were walking towards the beach 

“Iie. They’re fun to be with. Now I know why you ended up having your friendship this long ne.” I smiled 

“It was nice spending the day with you, Rein. Arigatou.” Smiled Taipi 

“Why thank me? I should be the one thanking you.” I smiled as the wind blew which made a sand went inside my eye 

“Oh, let me.” Said Taipi as he cups my face and blow the sand out of my eye 

 

“What the hell?! Did Taipi kissed Rein?! Did he just kissed her?! That guy is so fast!” said Hikaru as Kei and him are watching from afar and from their perspective, it’s like Taisuke kissing Rein during sunset 

“I didn’t know Taipi is that romantic ne.” Hikaru added 

“Let’s go now.” Said Kei as he clenches his fist and walks away 

“Eh? Oi Kei! Matte!” said Hikaru and immediately follows his friend 

 

“Is it gone?” asked Taipi as he checks on me 

“Hai. It’s gone. Thanks.” I said and blushed when I realized he is so close to me. “Look at the sunset ne. So beautiful.” I added 

“Hai. Just like you.” Taipi smiled at me 

“Eh?” I uttered 

“Kawaii na Rein-chan. Ikou, I’ll treat you to a nice dinner before going home.” Smiled Taipi as he pats my head. He then holds my hand and drags me towards a restaurant.
