It was a normal night for me; watching my favorite while munching on some junk foods when I got a text message which flipped me on my bed. 

 

[Rein-chaaaan! Are you done with our Math assignment?! Let me copy tomorrow! It's soooo hard! TT__TT - Hikapyon] 

 

What the fudge?! Did I read it right?! We have an assignment in Math?! And our Math subject is our first subject! Yabbai! I didn’t know we have an assignment! I paused what I’m watching and is now in a state of panic. Calm down, Rein. Think of a way to get your assignment done. And as if a lightbulb popped inside my head, I thought of one way for me to be able to have my assignment done; I need to copy someone else’s assignment. But who?! I can literally feel the whacks I'll gonna get if I try and copy Mi-chan and Chi-chan's assignment! Those two are sooo uptight in studying, they never let me copy their homework. Now, there is only one person left whom I can copy that assignment – Mr. Ice Guy. 

 

I gently went at our connecting door, put my ear firmly onto the door and listen if someone is on the other side. Looks like he went out since I can’t hear any movements from inside his room. Yosh! Time to execute the plan. 

 

I gently turned the doorknob and tried as quietly as possible to open the door. I then peek inside and I was right, there’s no Mr. Ice Guy inside. I immediately but gently went into his study table where I saw all his books neatly placed with his other study materials. I look fast for his Math notebook and bingo, found it. I held the notebook and was about to get back to my room when I felt a heat at my right ear. 

 

“Looks like I have an unexpected visitor tonight eh.” Mr. Ice Guy whispered on my ear in a seductive tone as I felt his breath on my ear which sent heat on my cheeks. I turned around and was surprised when I saw him half- and just a towel is covering his lower half. So he just got out of the shower since he is still wet and I can smell the soap he used. I immediately shut my eyes close upon seeing his look. 

“Go...gomen! I didn’t mean to barged inside your room. I was just gonna ask you something but I saw that you’re not here so I went to take a little look inside your room. Gomen!” I stuttered as my eyes are still shut closed 

“I thought there’s something else you want from me.” he is still on his seductive voice and I felt him inched towards me which made me back off slightly, now I got my back pressed at the edge of the desk and I cannot move backward anymore. With that, I opened my eyes and saw him pinning me at his study table with his face only centimeters apart from mine. I felt heat on my cheeks. 

“You’re red as a tomato, Rein. Are you sick?” he smirked at me as he is still so close to me that I felt my shirt got wet because of the water on his body. 

“I...I...I am not!” I managed to say as I pushed him off me and ran towards my room and slam shut the door. What did just happen?! My knees got weak as I slumped on the floor and felt my heart beating so fast. What's wrong with you, heart?! Good thing I managed to get what I wanted. I tried to ignore what happened and immediately went to my study table, get my Math notebook and started copying Mr. Ice Guy’s assignment. 

 

I am just starting to copy Mr. Ice Guy’s assignment when I saw set of arms pinning me onto my study desk. 

“So this is why you went inside my room.” I heard a familiar voice which made me gulp at my seat. I look up and I am right, it’s Mr. Ice Guy 

“Why are you copying my assignment?” he asked, he looks so serious. 

“Gomen! I didn’t know we had an assignment until Hikapyon texted me. I didn’t want to get scolded so I thought of copying your assignment. Gomenasai! Please don’t kill me!” I pleaded for my life as I slump my head on my study table. 

I heard him chuckle and felt him ruffle my hair. “Why will I kill you? I can’t even stand seeing you hurt, you know.” he said as I heard him pull a chair next to me. 

“Hey, look at me Rein.” I felt him tried to pull me up and face him 

“Are you mad?” I asked as I face him 

“I’m not mad. But you have to know that what you did was wrong. From barging inside someone else’s room to getting their stuff without permission.” he said in a gentle way as he shoves some hair strands off my face 

“Gomen. That’s my desperate move so I won’t get scolded in Math class tomorrow.” I looked down as my finger fidgets 

“You could’ve asked me to teach you our assignment if you don’t know how to do it.” he smiled at me and holds my hand 

“Mou~ can’t I just copy your assignment, please?” I asked him cutely as I look at him with puppy dog eyes. Matte, did I saw it right? Did he just blushed?! 

“You won’t be able to understand our assignment if you’ll just gonna copy. Don’t worry, I'll teach you.” he smiled and pats my head 

“Mou~ fine.” I pouted on my seat and get my pen 

 

“So next you’ll gonna multiply...” Kei was interrupted as he felt Rein’s head on his shoulder, “Geez, she fell asleep while we’re making her assignment.” he chuckled and gently carry Rein towards her bed and gently lays her down 

“Erm...” uttered Rein as she fixed her position 

“Geez Rein, what have you done to me.” whispered Kei as he shoves some hair strands off Rein’s face 

 

 

The next day at classroom. 

 

“Ok class, quiet! I have an announcement to make. Next month will be our school festival.” announced sensei which made the class all hyped up 

“Ok, ok. Calm down. We will use our time to discuss what our class will be doing for the school festival. Class rep, you take in charge from here.” said sensei as he sits at the side and gives the floor to Kota, our class rep. 

 

“Ok. So let us know your suggestions on what our class is going to do for the school fest.” said Kota as he stood in front of the class. 

“Let’s do maid café! And we’ll have all the girls in our class wear cute maid costumes!” said Hikaru as he looks like he imagines the girls in our class wearing maid costumes. Geez, this y guy. 

“You’re not thinking of something y, right Hika?” said Kota as he writes on the board the suggestions of our classmates 

“Of course not! Am I y to you!” protested Hikaru 

“Sometimes.” I laughed which made Hikapyon pouted at his seat 

“Mou~ Rein-chan!” protested Hikaru 

“Let’s do horror house!” suggested one of our classmates 

“Let’s have fortune telling. Let the tarot card speak.” said Chiaki which earned a weird look from me and Hikapyon. Yep, she can be weird like that. 

“Oh! Oh! Let's have some eating contest! We'll get to be surrounded with lots of foods!” exclaimed Satomi who is so hyped up with the thoughts of food 

“This are some of the rare times that I get to see Sato-chan this hyped up ne.” laughed Keito as he looks at Satomi, “How about you, Rein-chan? Got any suggestions?” he then turned towards me 

“Suggestion? Well, I really have no idea ne. Back in my old school, when it is our school fest, we usually just cut classes to go to the arcade so our class really does not participate in the school fest. Whenever we do, it always ends up to school rumble with the other class who tries to destroy our decorations.” I said as I reminisced my school festival from my previous school 

“Eh? Is that for real? Your previous school sounded so dangerous ne.” said Keito who looked shocked on what I said 

“Oh! I know! Can we do wrestle mania or royal rumble? Or strength challenge!” I exclaimed 

“Erm. Anoo. I am not quite sure Rein-chan, that sounds kinda violent, but I'll still list it down ne.” said Kota who looks doubtful 

“How about a concert-type of show?!” exclaimed one of our classmates 

“Yeah! We got ‘Bishiemen’ here so it’s perfect” agreed the other one 

“Bishiemen?” I asked confusedly 

“It’s the term they used to call us four ne.” boasted Hikaru which made me laugh at my seat 

“You? Hikaru, part of the Bishiemen?” I laughed 

“Mou! Quit teasing me Rein-chan!” pouted Hikaru 

“Anyway, how is it perfect that this class got the four of you to be able to pull up a concert-type of program?” I asked 

“Because all four of us play musical instruments ne.” answered Keito who heard my conversation with Hikaru 

“Uwaah! Souka?” I asked in amazement 

“Hai! Me on bass, Keito and Kota on the guitars, and Kei on the piano and organ.” explained Hikaru 

“Sugoi ne! I didn’t know the three of you can play musical instruments! I only know that Keito-kun plays his electric guitar.” I said in amazement 

“Ok. Concert-type show.” said Kota as he writes in on the board 

“Let’s just do that!” exclaimed the other one 

“Yeah! Let’s show them how kakkoi Bishiemen are!” squealed one of the girls 

“Demo, we got a problem.” said Keito which made all the class turned towards him, “Well, erm...we don’t have a drummer.” he uttered 

“That’s like the spine of a band.” sighed Hikaru 

“I can play the drums.” I said nonchalantly which made all my classmates turned towards me.  

 

During our lunch break. 

 

“Oi! Where are you taking me, Hikapyon!” I exclaimed as Hikaru is dragging me at the hallway. Our other friends are walking behind us 

“What the hell is going on?! Am I getting executed?! You're all like walking me towards my final destination eh!” I exclaimed 

“Relax, Rein-chan. We can never hurt you.” smiled Satomi 

“We just wanna know something.” added Kota 

“Wanna know what?!” I asked, as my anxiety is kicking in 

“Don’t worry, we’ll be gentle on you.” smirked Mr. Ice Guy which made my eyes wide 

“WHAT?!” I shouted 

“Geez Kei.” laughed Satomi and Chiaki 

“Here we are.” said Hikaru as we stopped in front of the music room 

“Music room?” I uttered in confusion 

“Go inside now.” said Hikaru as he gently pushed me inside the music room 

“What do you wanna know?!” I asked as I look at them 

“You said you can play drums ne?” started Keito 

“Hai. Back in middle school, I got interest in playing the drums and asked my classmate to teach me.” I said 

“Then can you play for us?” said Hikaru 

“Eh? So that’s what you wanna know?” I asked and blink my eyes 

“Hai. Well, our classmates are putting high hopes on us for this concert show so we just wanna know if there are some things that needs to be polished.” said Kota 

“Geez, you should’ve told me right away. Well, I don’t know if this will pass your standards ne. I told you, I just learned from a classmate.” I laughed and sits behind the drum set and get the drum sticks. I started to play Dash by Hey! Say! JUMP. After finishing, I turned to them. “So, how was it?” I asked and saw them literally having their mouths open 

“Sugoi ne Rein-chan!” said Keito as he claps 

“Kampeki! Perfecto! Bravo!” exclaimed Hikaru as he claps as well 

“We didn’t know you can play drums that good, Rein-chan.” said Satomi as she looked surprised 

“So that’s where she practiced whacking and banging her arms ne.” laughed Chiaki 

“Ok, looks like the concert is going to push through.” smiled Kota 

“Good job, Rein.” smiled Mr. Ice Guy as he pats my head 

“Yosh! Let's have our first practice later at Keito’s studio!” exclaimed Hikaru 

 

After class, we started our practice at Keito’s studio. Mi-chan is also busy with the decorations and stage while Chi-chan is busy with our costumes. Every after class, we go straight to Keito’s studio to practice. We practiced hard and a month passed by without us noticing it. It is now our school festival. Our school grounds are decorated with banners and lights. All the classrooms are well-decorated with different themes, some are scary, some are colorful, some classroom smells nice especially if they are café or restaurant theme. As for us, we didn’t decorated our classroom, because we are going to have our show at the gym to accommodate the people, the props and lights as well as the instruments. 

 

“Ok, we have some time to stroll around and visit different stalls because we will perform later in the afternoon. Be sure to gather here at 4pm, ok?” said Kota as the whole class got hyped up 

 

“Where should we go, Chiaki?” asked Keito as he holds the hand of his girlfriend 

“Let’s go to 3-B's horror house ne!” smiled Chiaki as she dragged Keito towards the horror house 

“Ikou, ikou!” Chiaki seems excited to enter the horror house 

“Ok. Let's go.” Keito said as he gulps and went inside the horror house while holding Chiaki’s hand tightly 

The two went inside the horror house and class 3-B is so good in making scary stuff since it’s almost real. Chiaki seems fascinated looking at the creepy ghosts. On the other hand, Keito is trembling in fear. 

 

“Look at that headless monk, Keito.” said Chiaki as if she is inside a museum 

“I saw it! I saw it!” shouted Keito in fear as he clings onto Chiaki’s arm, “AAAHHHH!” he shouted as he felt a hand holding his shoulder 

“Oh look, it’s a kuchisake onna. Yes, you are still pretty even like that ne. So don’t scare my boyfriend, onegai?” said Chiaki who looks so calm even in the sight of a kuchisake onna or a slit-mouthed woman. 

“Let’s get out of here Chiaki!” pleaded Keito as he carries Chiaki at his shoulder and ran outside the horror house. 

“Bye bye ghosts!” waved Chiaki as she looks so cute in chibi form 

 

Meanwhile, Kota is walking with Satomi at the hallway. 

“Where should we go, Kota?” asked Satomi as she looks at the different classroom themes 

“I know a place where you will enjoy ne.” smiled Kota as he holds her hand and leads her to 1-C's buffet-themed classroom. 

“BUFFET!” exclaimed Satomi as her eyes sparkles at the sight of the buffet table 

“I knew you’ll like here.” laughed Kota as they went inside, “Ne, what do you wanna eat--?” Kota was interrupted when he realized that Satomi already left him to go to the buffet table 

“Kawaii na.” chuckled Kota 

“Gomen, I already went to the buffet table.” laughed Satomi as she puts down two plates full of food at their table 

“Sugoi ne Satomi! You can eat all these?!” he asked in surprise 

“Not only these ne. I can still go back for more.” said Satomi proudly as she starts to eat happily 

“Oishii!” she smiled as there are sauce at the side of  

“Geez, you eat messily Satomi.” chuckled Kota as he wipes the sauce at her lips 

“Go..gomen..” uttered Satomi as she blushed with what Kota did. 

“Daijoubu, you look cute while eating ne.” smiled Kota 

 

Satomi eats happily and goes back and forth to the buffet table; she even drags Kota with her. 

“Can’t...eat...anymore.” sighed Kota as he was so full by eating three plates of food 

“Ehh? You only ate three plates of food. You're already full?” asked Satomi who is now at her sixth plate 

“I’m not a heavy eater ne. Plus, I can’t push myself to my limit because we will still perform later.” said Kota who orders a tea to calm his stomach 

“Geez. That is why you’re sooo skinny! You should eat more ne! I'm afraid you’ll end up collapsing because you’re too skinny.” scolded Satomi 

“But this is my natural body type.” pouted Kota 

“No buts! On Monday, I'll make you bento and I'll put more rice on it!” said Satomi 

“I’ll be looking forward to that ne.” smiled Kota 

 

 

So this is how private schools have their school festivals ne. Sugoi! It's colorful and happy. I am not putting my guard up thinking that other section might come to us and cause some trouble. My chain of thoughts was interrupted when Hikaru spoke. 

 

“Oi oi Inoo, why did you suddenly come with us to look around? You usually spend our school festival at the rooftop because you don’t like to interact with people.” said Hikaru as he points at Mr. Ice Guy 

“It’s different now ne. I need to be with Rein wherever she goes.” Mr. Ice Guy answered and continue walking 

“Ehh? You mean you haven’t celebrated school festivals before?!” I asked in wide eyes 

“Hai. It's a waste of time and energy. I'd rather sleep than go through this ne.” sighed Mr. Ice Guy 

“So it was a miracle to have him perform with us!” said Hikaru 

“Geez! You're missing your high school memories ne. Once you go to college, you will miss having this kind of school event, so you must make the most out of it while you still can ne!” I scolded Mr. Ice Guy 

“Ehh?” he blinks at me 

“Go Rein! You teach Jack Frost how to have fun. I'll leave the two of you now ne. See you later at 4pm!” winked Hikaru as he left Mr. Ice Guy and me 

“So now what?” asked Mr. Ice Guy. Geez, he really does not know what to do. 

“Yosh! Let's go on the different stalls ne!” I said enthusiastically and dragged him on different stalls 

As we walked, two students approached us. 

“Sumimasen, we’re from 2-B's class and we have a contest for couples. We will take your picture, post it on our board and the couple who has a lot of votes will win as Mr. and Ms. Kigyoya and will win a prize.” explained one of the students 

“Eh? Prize you say.” I said 

“Sorry but--” I interrupted Mr. Ice Guy, “Ok! We'll participate!” I said happily 

“Arigatou. Alright, pose now ne.” said one of the students who is holding his camera, “Ichi, ni, san.” he said as he took our photo. I was quick enough to jump at Mr. Ice Guy’s back and having a peace sign towards the camera. Mr. Ice Guy on the other hand looked perfect even for a stolen shot ne! He looks at me and he is...smiling at the picture? 

“This is cute ne! We'll announce the winners later. Arigatou.” bowed the students 

 

I took Mr. Ice Guy at the maid café, at the horror house, at the magic house; we even visited the stalls outside the school building and have some target shooting. 

 

“Kawaii dog stuffed toy!” I said as I saw a big dog stuffed toy hanging at the target shooting stall 

“You want that?” Mr. Ice Guy said 

“Hai!” I said 

“Wakatta.” he said and bought some token. He was then given three bullets and all he has to do is to shoot those three cans in front of him consequently, then the prize is ours. He stood placed the bullets inside the gun, stood behind the marked line and aimed for the cans. Then in a blink of an eye, three shots were heard and three cans flew away. 

“Sugoi ne!” the stall keeper and me said in awe 

“Omedetou. You're the first to win this prize.” said the stall keeper and hands him the big dog stuffed toy 

“Here.” he said and gives me the stuffed toy 

“Uwaah! Kawaii! Arigatou!” I smiled and took the stuffed toy. “I’ll name him Inuchan. So he reminds me of you. You know, Inoo, Inu.” I laughed and hug the stuffed toy 

 

After we stroll around, we met at our classroom to have some final technical check and dress rehearsal. Chiaki and the costume committee were so good in making our costumes which is mixture of black and red for that rock vibe. It's also embellished with chains and metals. We all wear three-forth sleeved coats, the boys wear black jeans with chain embellishments and sneakers while I wear a black and red checkered skirt with net stockings underneath and sneakers. 

“Babyyyy!” I heard a familiar voice which made all my classmates looked towards the door and my girl classmates squeal like fangirls 

“Who’s that?” squeal the other one 

“Kakkoi ne!” screamed another one 

“Who did he called baby?” asked another student 

“How are you, baby?” asked papa as he came towards me and kissed my forehead 

“Ehhhh?! Is that Rein’s boyfriend?!” exclaimed my girl classmates 

“Hi, Haruma-san.” greeted my friends 

“Why is he calling her baby?” whispered Keito 

“I think he has a daughter-complex.” whispered back Hikaru 

“Papa, what are you doing here?” I asked him 

“PAPA?!” exclaimed my girl classmates in wide eyes. Like seriously, guys? 

“Of course, I'm here to support my baby. I heard you will perform later so I made sure to watch you. This is my first time watching perform on a school event so I don’t wanna miss this.” he said as he hugs me 

Goodluck on your performance later.” smiled my grandpa as he also came towards us as well 

“Uwaah! You came too, grandpa!” I smiled at him 

“Hai, we don’t want to miss this ne.” grandpa smiled 

“My baby looks so cool in her outfit, right touchan?” papa said as he looks at me from head to toe 

“Geez, stop calling her baby. You're giving the people wrong idea of your relationship to your daughter!” scolded grandpa which made me laugh 

“But she is my baby!” pouted papa 

“Anoo, we’ll excuse ourselves now. We need to get ready to the gym for our performance.” said Kota 

“Wakatta. We'll go to our seats now.” smiled grandpa 

“Bye baby! Goodluck on your performance!” papa waved as grandpa drags him out of the room 

 

“Yosh! Let's do our best at our performance today! Let's make our school rock!” shouted Hikaru 

“Fight-o! Ohhh!” we chanted and was ready to head on the stage. 

 

The lights at the stage are turned off as we go to our designated places, then Hikaru speaks. 

“Are you ready to rock Kigyo High?!” he said hyping the students up 

“We’re 2-A's Ikeru Band, stay with us all throughout our show. Yoroshiku!” he added 

 

Then we started to play songs from A.N. Jell starting with Promise 

 

“I will promise you zutto kimi dake mitsumete 

I will promise you zutto kimi wo dakishimeru” 

 

The students got so hyped up which made us hyped up as well. I am enjoying playing with my drums and I can see the other four guys enjoying as well. Now here we go on the rap part which me and Hikaru sings. 

 

“Otagaini Wait and see fumikomenai Day by day 

Chikazuite motto So genkai nante koechatte Feel 

Hajikeruyo Energy tarinakerya Emergency tatakatte 

Here we go chanto aisou kakegaenai Dear” 

 

 

The stage light gives more hype vibe as we sang and I can see the audience enjoying and singing with us. After our performance, the whole gym was filled with cheer and applaud by the students and faculty as well. 

 

“Yosh! We made it!” Hikaru happily said as we went backstage 

“Uwaaah! I was so nervous and hyped up, I thought my drum sticks are gonna fly away from my hand.” I said as my heart is beating fast 

“You did well, Rein.” Mr. Ice Guy said and pats my head 

“Omedetou guys! Did you see how the crowd is so hyped up?!” greeted Satomi 

“You all look so cool in stage.” said Chiaki happily 

“Did you managed to take pictures and videos of us?” asked Keito as he wraps his arm around Chiaki’s shoulders 

“Hai! Of course!” she said happily 

“Congrats, baby! You look so cool up at the stage!” papa barged inside the dressing room and gave me a hug 

“Arigatou, papa.” I smiled 

“I didn’t know you can play the drums ne. Don’t worry, I will buy you a drum set so you can practice at home!” he said 

“Eh? That is not necessary papa.” I said 

“Omedetou, children.” smiled grandpa as he went inside as well 

“Arigatou, Yuuji-san.” bowed my friends 

 

It was the end of the school festival. Papa and grandpa went home. Well, grandpa dragged papa again because he still doesn’t want to go home but the closing ceremonies are for the students only. There's a big campfire lit in the middle of the school grounds and everyone gathered there to dance. Keito danced Chiaki and Kota dance Satomi. Hikaru asked me to dance with him. 

 

“Look how Kei is looking at you Rein-chan.” whispered Hikaru at my ears as he looks at Mr. Ice Guy who is intently looking at us. 

“What is up with him? He went back on his old cold self.” I whispered 

“I think he is jealous ne.” Hikaru smiled cheekily and drags me towards Mr. Ice Guy 

“Instead of looking at us as if you’ll gonna kill me ut of jealousy, why don’t you just ask her for a dance? Geez this guy.” Hikaru said and hands me to Mr. Ice Guy 

“Eh? Demo--” I was surprised when Mr. Ice Guy hold my hand and drags me towards at the center 

 

“Announcement for the winners of Mr. And Ms. Kigyo High, we congratulate Inoo Kei and Fukuyama Rein of class 2-A for winning Mr. And Ms. Kigyo High! Please claim your prize here at class 2-B. Arigatou.” 

 

“Uwaaah! We won!” I exclaimed in happiness and drag Mr. Ice Guy at class 2-B 

“Omedetto, your prize is candle light dinner at our rooftop. You may now proceed at our rooftop.” said their representative 

“Candle light dinner?” I uttered 

 

We went at the rooftop and it was decorated with fairy lights, in the middle is a table for two with a candle at the center and a bouquet of roses. 

“Enjoy your date.” smiled the student who assisted us 

“Sugoi ne. Class 2-B is so good in arranging this. So romantic.” I smiled as Mr. Ice Guy assisted me on my seat 

“Look! They got our picture from a while ago framed. Kawaii!” I said as I saw our picture at the table as well. 

“I had fun today. Thanks.” Mr. Ice Guy said 

“Why are you thanking me?” I chuckled 

“If you didn’t dragged me around, I wouldn’t be able to once again enjoy my school fest. I'm glad you did.” he smiled at me 

“Omou! You smiled again, Mr. Ice Guy! A while ago you look like you’re gonna kill people ne.” I laughed 

“Rein!” he exclaimed which took me by surprise 

“What is it Mr. Ice Guy?! You surprised me!” I said as I hold my chest 

“You call Hikaru and the others by their names. Why can’t you call me on my name? Do you hate me that much that you can’t even say my name?” he said seriously as he looks me in the eyes 

“Ehh?” I uttered 

“Do you hate me that much, eh?” he asked as he now looks sad 

“Geez. I am not mad at you. Why will I be mad at you?” I asked 

“Then why?!” he asked 

“I just like teasing you ne. I didn’t know it will offend you though. Gomen, Kei.” I said gently then the next thing I knew is that I felt a pair of arms hugging me.
