I was surprised when I felt Kei kissing me. It is a gentle and passionate kiss. As we broke from the kiss, I immediately covered my lips. 

“I…I want to go to sleep now. Where will I sleep?” I asked as I stood up and was about to walk but I felt my foot hurt. I must’ve sprained my foot when I tripped myself a while ago. Also, I got a wound on my right knee and my left leg. How clutz can I be? “Ahh!” I winced in pain 

“Careful ne. I’ll take you to my room. You can stay there for tonight. I’ll just sleep at my parents former room so don’t worry, ne.” he said as he carried me bridal style and took me to his room. It was big and full of kid’s stuff. Looks like he treasures all his toys from when he was still a kid. There’s also a small piano on the side and lots of framed pictures at the shelf. There’s also a huge shelf full of books! This guy is a nerd since little, I can say. My chain of thoughts was interrupted when he placed my on his bed. 

“Wait here.” He said as he went out. I looked around the room and was startled once again when the lightning strikes. He has a big window so I can see clearly the lightning “AHH!” I screamed and covered my ears as I close my eyes. 

“Rein what happened? I heard you scream.” I heard Kei said as he went inside the room and immediately came to check on me. 

“It’s just the lightning ne.” I said. Still covering my ears and my eyes closed. 

“Don’t be scared. I am here now ne.” he said as he hugs me. “Here, put cold compress on your sprain.” He added. I then opened my eyes and saw a cold compress at the bedside table. I took it and placed on my sprained foot. He checks on my legs for wounds and when he saw that I got wounds on my knee and legs, he then opens a medicine kit and took out some cotton and betadine and tends to my wounds.  

“This might sting a bit ne.” he said while gently applying the medicine on my wounds. I tried not to wince in pain as he did so. 

“There. All done. You can sleep now, Rein. I know this day had been tiring for you physically and emotionally.” He said as he helped me lie down. 

“Arigatou Kei.” I uttered 

“I’m always here for you, Rein.” He said and smiled at me “Go to sleep now. I won’t leave you until you fall asleep.” He said as he sat at the sofa beside the bedside table and gets a book. 

I look at him while he is reading the book and the kiss that happened a while ago flashed into my mind which instantly made me blush. I took the blanket and cover it on my face because I know I’m red as a tomato right now. 

“You can’t sleep?” I heard Kei asking me 

“Anooo.” I uttered. Then I heard the piano playing. 

“I’ll play some melodies for you to fall asleep.” Kei said as he continue playing the piano. I then drifted into slumber 

The ray of sunshine woke me up. I opened my eyes and sit up. I looked around. Oh yeah, I’m at Kei’s place. Then I remembered the kiss last night. What is up with my brain?! It keeps on remembering THAT! I hold onto my head because the thought of the kiss won’t get out of my mind. 

“Does your head hurt?” I jolted up as I heard Kei’s voice 

“Ahh? Ehhh no. I’m fine. I’m fine.” I said 

“Souka. Well, breakfast is ready now. Let’s eat so we can go back to the household. I’m sure Haruma-san and Yuuji-san are worried about you.” He said 

“Ah hai.” I uttered 

“Use my clothes when you change. Gomen, I don’t have girl’s clothes here.” He said and handed me a set of his clothes 

“Daijoubu. I’m used wearing guy’s clothes.” I chuckled and get the clothes. He then went out. I started to get ready. 

 

After I finished getting ready, I went down and go to the dining area. I saw Kei waiting for me with foods on the table. 

“Let’s eat?” he said 

“Hai. Ittadakimasu.” I said and started eating 

“You should talk with Haruma-san as soon as we get home. You should clear things with him.” Kei said 

“I guess you’re right ne.” I uttered and continue eating 

 

As we are done eating, we left Kei’s house and walked our way back to the household. 

“I didn’t know you’re a nerd ever since you’re a kid ne.” I chuckled as we are walking 

“Eh?” uttered Kei 

“The bookshelves in your room says so. Or are those for just display?” I laughed 

“Oh. Well, my parents doesn’t want me to read anything than books. They said I shouldn’t waste my time on things that are not necessary.” Kei said 

“Geez. What are your parents think of you, a robot?!” I said 

“Well, I guess that’s how they see me though.” Kei said sadly. We then arrived at the household 

 

As we went inside. 

 

“Babyyyyyy! My goodness, how are you?! What happened to you last night? I was sooo worried about you! Mou!” papa immediately ran towards me as soon as he saw me and give me a tight hug 

“Gomen.” Is all I can say 

“Are you ok? Tell me what happened.” He said worriedly “You stayed at this guy’s house last night?! You didn’t dared to do anything to my baby, right Kei?!” he asked Kei as dark aura surrounds him. And the thought of the kiss came back to my mind. I immediately shove it off my head. 

“I didn’t, Haruma-san. I have a respect on Rein.” Kei said 

“You better! Or else I’ll kill you!” papa said in a scary tone 

“Rein, have you eaten breakfast? How are you?” grandpa asked as he went out his office 

“I have eaten breakfast, grandpa. I’m so sorry for making you all worried.” I bowed down at them 

“Haruma-san, I think Rein wants to talk with you.” Said Kei which made me nervous. How should I talk with papa? 

“Eh? What is it about baby? Come to my office so we can talk.” Papa said and leads me to his office. 

“What is it that you want to talk about, baby?” papa asked as he prepared tea for us 

“Anoo. Etouu. I want you to be honest with me papa. Did you courted my mother before because of a bet?” I asked and I saw him stopped on what he is doing 

“What makes you say that?” he asked me back 

“Just please answer my question.” I said 

“That’s what everyone thinks. I was a mischievous student back in high school. I’m a pain in the for my teachers and the principal. Your mother on the other hand was an ace student. She always topped the overall students when it comes to exams. She’s kind and demure. That’s why when I courted her, everyone thought that I did it out of a bet. But no, I fell in love with your mother because she was the only one who didn’t judged me. Who didn’t gave up on me even if I’m a hopeless case already. I met her at the school’s rooftop where I usually sleep during lunch breaks. She is eating her bento there and when she saw me looking at her, she offered me her bento. That’s how our friendship started until it deepens and we ended up being in a relationship. I love your mother so much Rein. So much that I am willing to trade my life for her to come back again.” Papa said as he reminisced his past 

“So when my mother got pregnant on me, it was not a mistake?” I asked 

“You were never a mistake, Rein. Not because we had you at such a young age means you’re a mistake. We did it out of love.” Papa said 

“Then why aren’t you dating anyone else until now? Do you want to stay a bachelor for the rest of your life?” I asked 

“It’s because it’s still your mother who is inside my heart. She was and she’ll always be. The difference now is that she there’s someone else in my heart other than her. And it is you, Rein. You’re the most important person in my life right now.” Papa said as he looked me in the eyes sincerely 

“Papa.” I uttered as tears fell from my eyes 

“Uwaah! Baby what’s wrong?!” papa asked in a panic mode 

“Gomen papa. Gomen.” I said as I felt him hug me 

“Why are you apologizing to me?” papa asked as he rub my back 

I want to tell him that I apologize for thinking bad of him but words won’t come out of my mouth. I just cried my heart out and hug him tight. 

 

The next day at school. 

“Rein-chaaaan! What happened to you at the party? I was so worried about you.” Pouted Hikaru as he ran towards me and give me a tight hug at the locker area 

“Gomen ne Hikapyon. Something unexpected happened.” I said 

“What is it?” he pouted, still hugging me 

“Let’s just say that there were people who attacked her psychologically during the party.” Said Satomi as Chiaki and her knew what happened at the party. Well, I told them what happened. 

“Eh? Psychologically?” Hikaru asked confusedly 

“They told Rein lies about her past!” Chiaki said angrily 

“Woah. Calm down, Chiaki-chan.” Said Hikaru who looked surprised with the sudden outburst of Chiaki, “Calm your girlfriend, Keito!” he added 

“Calm down Chiaki. At least we know how they want to play.” Said Keito 

“Wait, wait, wait! I can’t understand what you’re saying!” exclaimed Hikaru 

“Shinobu and Kasumi told Rein lies about her past. They made Haruma-san look bad so Rein will get kad at her!” said Kota who looks mad as well 

“What the ?! Are you serious?!” Hikaru exclaimed angrily 

“Yes. Apparently, those two are Hades’ daughters.” Satomi said 

“Those es!” cursed Chiaki 

“Language, Chiaki.” Scolded Keito 

 

  

At our classroom. 

“Ok class, we will be having transfer students today.” Started sensei which made the class hyped up 

“Ok, quiet! Please introduce yourselves.” Sensei said and in front of us stood two people who I never wished to meet again 

“Arimura Shinobu desu! Yoroshiku.” Introduced Shinobu in a cute tone which is irritating to my ears 

“Arimura Kasumi desu. Yoroshiku.” Smiled Kasumi 

“Are you sisters?” one of our classmates asked 

“We’re twins ne.” said those two in a cute manner 

“Is it just me? Or are they really cringey to look at?” sneered Satomi 

“Their voices are irritating in the ears.” Scoffed Chiaki 

“They even had the guts to transfer here!” said Hikaru 

I looked at them and slumped my head onto my desk because I don’t give a damn on them anymore. 

“Rein-chan! We’re classmates! Isn’t that amazing?!” squealed Shinobu in her cute tone. I still got my head slumped onto my desk. 

“You know Rein?” asked another classmate 

“Hai~ she’s our lovely cousin.” Said Kasumi cutely 

“Cringe!” said Chiaki beneath her breath 

 

During lunch break. 

“Ko-chan~~ isn’t it nice that we’re classmates as well?” said Shinobu as she went near Kota and I can see Satomi wanting to pierce her chopstick at Shinobu’s throat right there and then. 

“Ow. Shinobu.” Uttered Kota coldly. Ohhh. Kei passed the cold stone to Kota. 

“I heard you’re the student council president and our class rep as well, so does that mean you will take me on a tour at our school later after class?” Shinobu said in a charming way which made me want to puke 

“You know we’re eating, ne Shinobu?” sneered Hikaru “Geez, acting cutely like that.” He whispered and rolled his eyes 

“So later after class, Ko-chan?” said Shinobu still acting cutely as she completely ignored Hikaru 

“Shinobu, just like you said, I am the class rep and the student council president, so I have lots of things to do and touring transfer students isn’t my job anymore. You can actually tour yourself around our school later since you’re with Kasumi.” Said Kota coldly 

“I am expecting Keito who is also my childhood friend to take me on a tour around the school later.” Said Kasumi as she acts cutely in front of Keito. And there we have Chiaki, emitting dark aura as she wanted to summon every spirit she knows to possess this lady who is acting cutely in front of Keito. 

“Oh. It’s not part of my duties ne. Also, I have my boyfriend duties later since I am accompanying my girlfriend later to buy some stuffs.” Said Keito as he hold Chiaki’s hand 

“Burn.” Whispered Hikaru as the two of us tried not to laugh. 

“If you really can’t tour the school by yourselves and you want to be accompanied, I will ask my vice president to take you on a tour.” Said Kota coldly 

“Don’t bother. We can do that ourselves. Let’s go, Kasumi.” Sneered Shinobu as Kasumi still looked shock when she heard Keito has a girlfriend 

“Nice one Ko-chan.” Said Hikaru emphasizing the word Ko-chan and saying it in a manner like how Shinobu did. 

“Urusai Hikaru!” sneered Kota 

“So she calls you Ko-chan ne.” said Satomi as dark aura surrounds her 

“Eh? Can’t you see it’s irritating?” said Kota 

“Really? You seemed to be enjoying it when she called you that.” said Satomi as she raised an eyebrow at Kota 

“No! Can’t you see clearly that I hate it?!” said Kota 

“Whatever.” Sneered Satomi as she walked out 

“Ehhh?! Sato-chan! Matte!” exclaimed Kota as he ran after her 

“Kowaii na Satomi-chan.” Said Keito as he looked at the two 

“You almost didn’t made it, Okamoto. Good thing you somehow managed to save yourself.” Said Chiaki in a scary tone. 

“Ehh? What did I do?” asked Keito confusedly 

“The way you looked at her! Tss.” Sneered Chiaki 

“Ehh?! I barely looked at her. I am focused on my food.” Explained Keito 

“Whatever.” Sneered Chiaki as she walks out as well 

“They are really sisters ne.” said Hikaru which earned my nod 

 

It was P.E. class and we’re at the gym. We are playing dodgeball. The girls in the class were divided into two and the boys as well. 

“Uwaaah. We got Rein-chan in our team. We will surely win!” said one of the girls in my team 

“Hai. She is known to be sporty ne.” agreed another one 

“We can do this girls!” cheered Shinobu as she heard what the girls in my team said 

“Hai! We don’t need to be sporty to win this. We need tactics.” Agreed Kasumi 

“Ok, let’s start. First team to lost all their members lose.” Said sensei as he gave us the ball 

“Yosh! Let’s start!” I said and throw the ball. Two members of the other team got hit by the ball and they’re out right away 

“Woohoo! Go Rein-chaaan!” cheered Hikaru on the other side of the court. They are also playing dodgeball 

“Oi! Focus Hikaru.” Scoled Kota “But go Satomi!” he cheered for Satomi 

“Go Chiaki!” said Keito and winks at Chiaki. The girls flail as they saw how sweet Keito and Kota were. 

“Focus team. Focus!” exclaimed Shinobu as she then throws the ball and directed towards me. I easily caught the ball and smirked at her. 

“Arrgh! We can’t lose!” said Shinobu as she tried to act cutely and looking towards the direction of Kota. However, he is busy playing as well. 

“Yosh! Here goes another shot!” I said as I throw the ball going to the direction of Shinobu and BAM! A loud thud was heard inside the whole gym which made all the students stopped what they’re doing. 

“Ahhh! Ouch! The ball hit me so hard, sensei.” Said Shinobu as she tries to act cute while crouching down the floor and wincing in pain. 

“You should be in theatre club because you act so well. You see missy, the ball didn’t touched even a strand of your hair.” Sneered Satomi as they all look at the ball which was still spinning onto the floor. 

“I saw that too Shinobu-san. Looks like you’re already tired since you’re imagining things already.” Sensei said and with that, our sensei dismissed the class. 

 

After class, at the student council room. 

“Let’s hurry and get these documents done.” Said Satomi who still looks in bad mood as she helped Kota with some documents. 

“Why? Do you have some things to do after? I can accompany you.” Said Kota 

“Nah, so that you can tour that Shinobu in our campus.” Satomi said coldly as she is not looking at Kota 

“Now what is that all about? I told you I don’t want to do it. I don’t even want to be associated with her.” Said Kota who looked surprised with what Satomi said 

“You’re our class rep, so you should do it. Besides, she seems so fond of you already. You’re her Ko-chan right?” said Satomi sarcastically 

“Sato, what are you trying to imply here?” asked Kota as he looks at her seriously 

“That she likes you.” Said Satomi 

“So? The one I like is you so it doesn’t matter who that girl likes.” Said Kota as he looks at her straight in the eyes and made Satomi froze onto her seat for a while. 

“Don’t you like her? She seems so nice to you. Why do you like me? I am nothing compared to her. I think the two if you suits better together.” Said Satomi 

“Why are you like that, Satomi? Why are you pushing me away towards that girl? I thought my feelings reached you but you’re pushing me away. Don’t you like me back?” said Kota in a crack voice as tears started to fall down his eyes 

“Kota.” Uttered Satomi as she saw Kota crying 

“I love you, Satomi. But looks like you don’t love or even like me back.” Said Kota sadly as he stood up, still crying as he was about to go out of the room when he felt Satomi hugged him from behind 

“I love you, Kota” said Satomi which made Kota froze on his place 

“I’m sorry. I was just jealous. I don’t know what am I saying a while ago. I love you and I don’t want to see you with other girls, especially that Shinobu. I’m sorry.” Said Satomi as she cries as well. Kota faced her, cupped her face and wipes her tears. 

“I love you so much, Satomi.” Said Kota as their lips touches 

 

At the household. 

 

I am so excited to try my new roller skates. I bought these a while ago since it’s been years since I want to try roller skating. I went at our backyard which is wide enough for me to practice. I put them on and started to balance. I am getting the technique how to roller skates when the thought of the kiss popped up once again inside my mind. Come to think of it, after that kiss, I became distant towards Kei. I dot know how to face him. Everytime I see him, I remember the kiss. Also, what are we? Are we in a relationship? Because why did we kissed?! Isn’t kiss supposed to be given to the one you love? Maybe it happened on the spur of the moment? Still, it made me awkward towards Kei. 

My mind was too occupied with my thoughts as I was roller skating when I went out of control and went rolling down the backyard. I was panicking that I can’t think clearly how to stop the roller skates. I am preparing myself to hit the bush but then I felt a pair of arms caught me. 

 

“Oh! Careful ne.” a manly voice said as I look up and saw a guy smiling brightly at me. He is almost hugging me that I can smell his perfume. He smells so good though. 

“I see you’re learning roller skating. I know how to roller skates. I can teach you how ne.” he said as he is still smiling at me. I don’t know but my heart went doki doki with his smile.
