Apartment 3-B:

Hayoung: You know what would make me feel better, unnie?

Eunji: What?

Hayoung: If you told me about your crush.

Naeun: You promised.

Eunji (sighs): I guess I did.

             I met her during a chicken delivery… 

*FLASHBACK*

HuhGak's Chicken:

Soyoung: I’m telling you! This is the perfect opportunity!

Eunji (chuckles): Eh… I’m okay.

             I like working here.

Soyoung: But it’s higher pay and you’ll be in the same office as me.

Eunji looks up from her mop and smiles warmly for a second before moving back into the kitchen. Soyoung follows, chattering endlessly.

Soyoung: I’m so lonely at work and you’d be such a perfect fit.

Eunji (smirks): I would, woul dn’t I?

Soyoung: Yes!

Eunji (scoffs): Well I’m already taken and I have no thoughts on becoming a janitor at your boring company.

Soyoung: Can’t you at least come see what it’s like?

Eunji: Not interested.

             Now get out before I wipe grease on all your expensive clothes.

Soyoung (sighs): Fine.

             But wouldn’t higher pay be a good thing for a change?

Eunji: It would but I like working here.

             I get benefits.

Soyoung: Like what?

Eunji: Free chicken.

             Good boss.

             The fact that I can have my annoying friends stop in like this and bother me.

Soyoung (whines): Just take me seriously for one second.

Eunji: Yeah, I’d rather not.

Soyoung: Can’t you at least stop by to take a look?

Eunji finishes fitting a to-go box into a plastic bag.

Eunji: Okay, then how about this?

             You order chicken and I’ll go for a delivery later. Then I can take a look and I’ll give you a more “serious” answer. 

             Does that sound good?

Soyoung: That sounds perfect!

             Bye!

Eunji: Hey! Are you just leaving like that?

Soyoung: I mean we’re going to see each other again.

Eunji sighs and goes back to work.

Park's Co. Building:

She arrives at Soyoung's office by twelve. Hesitantly, she hops off the bike and makes her way to the building.

Soyoung: You’re here!

Eunji: Were you waiting for me this whole time?

Soyoung: Let’s just go to my floor. I’m starving.

Eunji (sighs): I need to get back soon.

Soyoung: But you said you’d look around!

Eunji: I did.

             I will.

Soyoung: Let’s go!

Eunji (grumbles): How are you so excited all the time?

Eunji tried not to get too bored as she gets a tour.

Eunji: I need to go to the restroom.

Soyoung: There’s one just down the hall.

Eunji: Uh… I’ll be right back then.

Soyoung: Don’t take too long!

             I still haven’t shown you the printer room.

Eunji (stiffly): Yeah, yeah.

She hurries to the restroom and immediately begins splashing her face with water.

Chorong (softly): Woah!

Eunji: Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry. I didn’t notice that the water was going all over you.

Chorong: Ah, it’s okay. I’m fine.

Eunji (slowly): Wait… Are you… Are you Park Chorong?

Chorong (stammers): No. I’m not–I’m–No.

Eunji: Aye, you are! You’re Park Chorong!

             We went to the same middle school! You’re the one who  knocked me out with your cartwheel during P.E.!

Chorong (huffs): I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Eunji: Do you work here now?

             Wow, you must’ve been really smart. My friend actually works here but her family is loaded so she’s had top tier education to get this job.

Chorong (softly): My parents own the company.

Eunji: That’s so cool!

             This is just so crazy. And I almost didn’t even recognize you.

Chorong (nervous laughter): Almost.

Eunji: We should get some coffee and catch up. If you’re not busy of course.

Chorong: Uh, yeah maybe next time because I’ve actually got a lot of work to do tod—

In attempts to take her urgent leave, Chorong loses balance. Eunji swoops in to catch her. Chorong lets out a little squeak.

Chorong (quickly): I’m so sorry. I— I— I have to go.

She rushes out before she can embarrass herself more.

Eunji (to self): Damn, she got hot.
