“Congratulations! You have all survived the exams,” Mr. Park announced during homeroom time. “And the best part is, no one failed!”   The entire class began to cheer, knowing what this meant. They were all allowed to participate in the school festival, one of the biggest events of the year which attracted many visitors from different schools to visit. Every class was supposed to work together and transform their classroom into a spot worth visiting.   “So, who would like to be in charge as our class representative?” Mr. Park asked, eagerly scanning his students to see a raised hand. The marker was in his hand, ready to jot down a name on the board.   “We should have the self-proclaimed, unofficial class representative do it,” Kibum spoke out loud, smiling at the teacher. “I nominate Jang Hyunmi.”   The girl in question quickly turned to Kibum, sending daggers through her glare. There was a point in the title being self-proclaimed and unofficial—she didn’t want it for real.   “Excellent choice.” Mr. Park was about to write her name down when she began to shout a protest.   “Wait, don’t we need the others to consent to this? I’m sure they don’t—”   “I vote for Hyunmi too,” Sungyeol added.    And all the other students, who feared getting their names called, immediately seconded the idea and offered her as a sacrificial lamb.   When Hyunmi looked sideways, she was baffled to see Seulyi‘s raised hand. “You too?”   “Well, you are the responsible one,” she said in a matter of factly tone.    Hyunmi whimpered, silently cursing herself. If only there was a way out of this.   “You don’t wanna do it?” Woohyun suddenly asked, leaning his chair back against her desk.   “It’s too much of a hassle.”   Woohyun smiled and turned to the front, raising his hand in the air. “Mr. Park, I’ll do it.”   “Woohyun? You?” Even the teacher was perplexed.   “I used to be class president for two whole years in kindergarten. You can count on me,” Woohyun vouched for himself, hitting his chest to show his dependability. “Hyunmi can be my vice.”   “Brilliant idea! If it’s the two of you, I’m sure the class is in good hands,” Mr. Park said, immediately writing their names down before anyone could change their mind.   “If you wanted to be my knight, you should’ve gone all the way and not get me involved at all,” Hyunmi whispered to him.   “As if you can let me handle things on my own,” he said, referring to her constant meddling. Be it his health or his grades, she cared too much to let him fail in any way. “Besides, I wouldn’t have volunteered if it weren’t for us doing this together.”   The last part of his statement made her smile, forgetting her protest. In the same way she wouldn’t let him face his problems alone, he would always come to her rescue.   “Thanks, Woohyun.”   Mr. Park went to sit to the side, allowing the two to come up to the front and take over. There was a mutual agreement for Woohyun to do all the talking while Hyunmi would write things down. They didn’t need a verbal discussion when things had always been that way between them.   “Alright, class. Anyone have an idea on what we should do?” Woohyun asked.   “We could do maid cafe,” Sungyeol suggested a super cliche idea.   “Or a haunted house!” Seulyi offered the second most cliche idea.   “We could do a drama skit,” Kibum said, grinning slyly. “You two could become our very own Romeo and Juliet. I bet everyone would be excited to see that.”   Hyunmi paused in the middle of writing and turned to give Kibum another death glare.   “Very good ideas, except for the skit one. Anyone else?” Woohyun asked, hoping there will be more innovative ideas to come.   “Guys! We have Myungsoo in our class. Don’t you think we should use it to our advantage?” Sungyeol suddenly suggested. “We could have him act as a butler. Or we can charge people to take photos with him and hold hands.”   Myungsoo’s eyes widened in surprise, not thinking his friend would offer him up that easily.   “No! You can’t do that to him!” Seulyi protested immediately. “You’re turning him into a gigolo.”   “Yes, we can do a gigolo cafe!” Sungyeol was even more fired up now. “Woohyun has a lot of admirers too, so it would work out.”   Woohyun had this smug grin on his face, too overjoyed by Sungyeol’s acknowledgement to notice Hyunmi’s hesitant expression. In the end, she wrote the idea down anyway.    Soon, other ideas started to appear. From a photobooth, to a costume rental place, to free makeup or skincare service, tea ceremonies, indoor carnival games, or an elaborate scavenger hunt.   “Um…” Hyunmi began, quietly tugging Woohyun’s shirt, pausing him in his speech.   “Hm?” He softened his voice so that only she could hear and leaned closer to her. “What’s wrong?”   “I…” She bit her bottom lip, avoiding eye contact. “I can’t reach it.”   Woohyun looked up at the white board, seeing she had written the ideas starting in the middle. There was a big chunk of empty space on top that wasn’t favorable to her short height. He couldn’t help but snort a laugh.   “Don’t laugh.”   “I think it’s cute,” Woohyun said, patting her head to emphasize her height again. He took the marker from her hand and helped her write down the last few ideas on top of the board. As soon as he did, the entire class began to coo at them.   “Date already!” Seulyi shouted, and murmurs of agreement followed, which may have included Mr. Park’s as well.   “Any other ideas?” Woohyun expertly ignored them after he finished writing.    Ahreum, a fellow student in their class who had been quiet the entire time, suddenly shot her hand in the air. “We can do a fortune telling shop.”   “Oh, I love that idea!” Sungyeol, being a frequent customer to the local fortune teller, immediately agreed.   “Great idea. Could you explain more about it?” Woohyun asked.   “Well, Woohyun, what is your astrological sign?” Ahreum asked.   He frowned, caught offguard. “Aquarius.”   “And Hyunmi?”   Hyunmi exchanged a look with Woohyun and went along with it. “Virgo.”   Ahreum retrieved a magazine from her bag, which Mr. Park did not reprimand her for. She flipped through the pages before finding what she needed. “Aquarius and virgo are an interesting match because they are so opposite from each other. They either bring out the best or worst out in each other. Even so, once they have found a social issue they both care about, they will work in perfect synergy with aquarius being the leader and virgo doing the groundwork.”   “Hey, that’s exactly what they’re doing right now,” Seulyi pointed out. She made a note to herself to ask
