When Hyunmi and Woohyun arrived a bit later due to having to buy some drinks at the last minute, they did not think Seulyi would invite this many people to the park. What happened to the double date idea?   The two stood at the sidelines, mentally identifying the people who were busy playing around instead of setting things up. Aside from their usual friends, there were some unexpected guests.   “Huh,” Hyunmi remarked, spotting a familiar figure amidst them. “I didn’t know you invited Hime.”   “I didn’t. I don’t even have her number,” Woohyun remarked.   “Then who did?”   “Technically, that would be me,” Sungyeol appeared, casually sliding his arm around Hyunmi’s shoulder. “You see, when Myungsoo told me about today’s picnic, I gathered up my courage and invited Miyu.”   “Miyu the star soloist of the glee club? The girl you’ve been crushing on for two years who never noticed your existence because you’ve been too scared to ask her out?” Hyunmi asked in one quick breath.   Sungyeol grunted and let go of her. “Well, thanks for that enlightening clarification. But yes, and obviously she has noticed me now that I’ve invited her.”   “And how does that relate to Hime?” Woohyun asked.   “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Sungyeol teased, elbowing him in his ribcage.   “Yeah, that’s why I asked the question.”   “Well, Hime and Miyu are sisters. I said you would tag along and Hime immediately agreed to come,” Sungyeol said, his grin widening. “I think she likes you.”   Woohyun pushed past him to lay down the beverages with the rest of their food. He knew of Hime’s feelings considering her Valentine confession hadn’t been that long ago. He wondered how long she would be able to maintain those feelings.    When Hime noticed him, she eagerly waved, creating a picture perfect image of a pure maiden in the middle of a flower field. Woohyun smiled and waved back, causing her cheeks to redden. She quickly turned to her sister, Miyu, and the two giggled.   “I can’t help but feel like someone’s missing,” Hyunmi said, snapping her fingers to spark a thought. Seulyi, Maerin, Myungsoo, Taemin, and Sungjong were all watching the swan shaped water cycle boat on the lake, but someone wasn’t there. “Ah, Kibum!”   “I’m touched that you’ve noticed my absence. Did you miss me?” Kibum asked, making his grand entrance wearing an outfit that was far too flashy for a simple picnic gathering. There were more sequin beads on his shirt than the hair strands on his head. But to make up for it, he brought his two toy poodles, Comme Des and Garcons. Both were also clothed in ridiculous looking sweaters, but they still looked adorable.    “You flatter yourself. I notice those who are late,” Hyunmi commented, though her little detour made her a bit late herself.   “You don’t have to be shy in admitting you missed me just because Woohyun’s here. He won’t get jealous of me,” Kibum teased. Before any of them could protest, he handed them the leash to his dogs. “Could you please walk them? I’m tired.”   “Oh, I’ll do it!” Maerin immediately volunteered herself, taking the leash from Woohyun’s hand. She quirked her eyebrow at the woolen sweater over the dogs. “Aren’t these a bit too warm for them though?”   “Fashion is not meant to be comfortable,” Kibum said, pulling Woohyun with him. “Now where are the drinks? I could use some coke.”   “Poor Comme Des and Garcons. What kind of father abandons them like that?” Hyunmi muttered, petting Garcons’ head. But the dog blinked so adorably at her that she couldn’t stop herself from kissing its head.   “It’s okay. I’ll walk them around the park fifty times if they want,” Maerin said excitedly, picking Comme Des up. But her excitement tensed up the instant Taemin appeared, caressing the brown poodle’s head.   “I should’ve brought Adam and Eve with me. They’d love to play with Kibum’s dog,” Taemin said, referring to his own pets.   Hyunmi grinned immediately, handing over the other leash to Taemin. “Can you accompany Maerin to walk the dogs? I need to help set up.”   Taemin easily nodded, flashing an easy smile at Maerin that had her melting internally. She glanced at Hyunmi, showing a derpy version of her gleeful face, and followed after Taemin. Taemin adjusted his pace, keeping his strides in tempo with her. What a gentleman.   Hyunmi turned to the rest who had begun setting up the traditional red and white checkered picnic mat. Of course, even the simple action brought forth chaos.   “Maybe we should’ve bought two, this is too small,” Sungjong said as he laid the square mat on the grass. Clearly, it was only meant for five people.   “Yeah, you should’ve bought two,” Sungyeol said.    “Didn’t you know how many people were coming today?” Woohyun added.   “No.”   “I guess there’s only one solution,” Woohyun said, exchanging an evil look with Sungyeol. “Lee Sungjong, you sit on the grass.”   “Be a man and take responsibility.”   Miyu and Hime, who weren’t used to their teasing, gasped in surprise.   “Fine, fine. It’s my punishment for not buying a big enough mat,” Sungjong sighed, knowing there was no use in defending himself. The more he obeyed, the faster they’d grow tired of teasing him. He sat down on the empty spot next to their mat, watching the others continue setting up. The two evil masterminds cackled at his misery. Definitely not a good impression on the girls.   “Is it alright? It rained yesterday so the grass is all muddy,” Miyu remarked.   “He’ll be fine,” Sungyeol said, grinning at his crush. His gaze immediately fell on the wooden basket she had been holding on to. “Did you bring something?”   “Yes! I love baking, so I made a few tarts,” Miyu said, taking out a fruit tart from the basket. The tart was decorated like the ones seen in professional bakeries. Just the mere sight had them all salivating.   Especially Myungsoo who had to in his saliva before he’d actually start drooling. Seulyi took note of it. Fruit tart. Okay, she was going to learn how to make that next.   “Miyu is officially the ideal wife,” Sungyeol whispered to his friends, watching in awe as she cut a few slices to distribute.   “Congratulations. Now all you have to do is get her to see you as the ideal husband,” Woohyun said, patting his shoulders. “You’ve got a long way to go.”   “Just wait. I’ll become filthy rich and buy her all the branded stuff she wants. I am the perfect husband,” Sungyeol declared, looking into a far, faraway future.   “That’s how you lure Kibum.
