“Sunbae,” Seokjin tried to get her attention by waving to her, “sunbae, why don’t we drink one together?”

He held up the bottle of soju as an offering until she finally looked up at him and smirked, then without answering, she raised her glass as he filled it. Instead of clanking her glass with his, she downed her shot and then slammed it on the table.

Seulgi and Yerim jumped in shock.

“Sunbae-nim,” Yerim asked her sweetly, “are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she poured another shot for herself and drank it down, “why? Do I not look okay?”

“No,” Yerim turned back to face Seulgi.

Jungkook leaned over to Seulgi, “is your unnie okay?”

“She’s just used to being in control,” Seulgi chuckled, “and I think tonight she lost a little bit of that control.”

“Why?”

Seulgi gestured toward Seokjin who was laughing and talking about something with Jisoo.

“Ah,” Jungkook nodded with understanding, “he’s got that kind of affect sometimes.”

“Excuse me,” Yerim whispered to Jungkook, “I’m sorry if I’m rude, but can I take pictures of you?”

“W-what,” he was appalled at what she asked.

“Can I take pictures of your body too?”

“What’s with this girl,” he lifted his hands to cover his body in shock, “you want to take pictures of my body?”

“Yah, Kim Yerim,” Seulgi groaned with an annoyed tone, “explain yourself a little.”

“Oh right,” Yerim stumbled through her bag, making it obvious she was tipsy, “I’m a photographer and need some models… I was hoping that you and your friends could be my models for the upcoming gallery.”

“Oh, I see,” he finally understood and laughed, “sure… I don’t mind.”

“Really,” she squealed, covered and teared up.

“W-what’s wrong?”

“m-m-m… I-I,” she choked.

Seulgi couldn’t watch any longer, “she means to say that she’s touched.”

Yerim nodded in agreement, unable to talk, which made him laugh out loud.

“You’re so weird,” he continued laughing, “so interesting.”

Seokjin turned to join the conversation, “what’s going on?”

“Yerim-ssi wants us to be her models,” Jungkook filled him in, “and she’s feeling touched right now because I just agreed, which is why she’s choking up.”

“That’s it,” Seokjin laughed, “if that’s it, then I’m totally in! I got you!”

She teared up even more and fell backwards. Everyone jumped up to catch her, even Joohyun, but she still fell onto the ground.

“Ah,” she whined and rolled around with a hand on her back.

“Yah, Yerim-ssi,” Joohyun went down to the floor, “are you okay?”

“Aiyo, she’ll be fine,” Seulgi said as she and Joy gathered around her, “we’ll take her home… it’s getting late anyways.”

“That’s a good idea,” Joohyun helped them get her up.

“I’ll help carry her,” Jungkook walked over and got her on his back while Joohyun glared at him.

“Yah,” Joohyun said out loud, “keep an eye on him.”

“Unnie,” Seulgi slapped her shoulder, “why would you say that?”

“What,” she turned back to Jungkook, “did I say something wrong?”

Jungkook chuckled and smiled sweetly, “I’ll take care of her, you don’t have to worry.”

She stopped glaring and crossed her arms, feeling comfortable with him for some reason.

“Y-you better,” she couldn’t help but fall for his innocent expression.

The look in his eyes made her trust him, like she knew she could count on him to really take care of Yerim even though she barely knew him. In that moment, she couldn’t help but feel like his mother-in-law as she sent them out of the building. Everyone else shuffled out as Joohyun went to pay the bill. Seokjin followed her to the cashier nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets.

“Are you paying it all,” he asked her as he peaked at the price, “wow, it’s so much though.”

“Why,” she glanced at him, “did you want to pay?”

“No,” he pouted, “isn’t there a budget for office outings?”

“It’s okay.”

She paid the bill and then left the bar in a hurry.

“Sunbae,” he caught up to her and walked by her side, “wait for me.”

She sighed, “why are you following me?”

“Because I like you.”
