Requested by Camis1 - where hybrid puppy Baekhyun moves in next door
 

Minseok casually leaned against the tree, eyes closed and ears flat against his skull as he basked in the warm rays of sunlight. Suddenly, his nose twitched and he looked around curiously, grimacing a little at the musky smell. It got stronger and he heard a loud bark that prompted him to run into the house for safety.


 

'What is it, baby?'
'There are some weird neighbours...' Minseok trailed off. 'I can't breathe, their smell suffocates me.'
'Go to the room and hug Kitty-Poo, I'll be there in two hours, okay?'
'Okay.'







 

A little after Jongdae had returned, their doorbell rang and it turned out to be their neighbours.
'Hey! We're the new neighbours - I'm Park Chanyeol and this is Byun---'
'Park-Byun Baekhyun, because I'm his,' the puppy hybrid declared, tail wagging fast as he latched onto Chanyeol's arm. Jongdae regarded the small hybrid with warm eyes and welcomed them in.

'Just thought I'd get to know the neighbours - especially because Baek here sensed a hybrid.'
'We're a pretty open community, so you can ease up,' Jongdae smiled, setting two cups of tea before them. Baekhyun quickly drank his, pouting when his tongue got singed. Out of instinct, Chanyeol pecked him and smiled, eyes widening when he remembered where they were.

'I uh...'
'That's all right, I'm the same with mine,' Jongdae waved off, calling for Minseok. The cat hybrid sauntered in, eyes fixed on the new couple as he settled into Jongdae's side.
'This is Kim Minseok, my kit,' he proudly introduced. Chanyeol grinned and greeted him but the two hybrids regarded each other carefully.

'I hope they get along well,' the tallest male sighed and Jongdae agreed.
