Good TimesRequested by aquakittie - where Minseok loses Kitty-Poo and Jongdae has to find it
Kitty-poo was more than a plush pillow for Minseok. It was his best friend and the only thing that kept him sane in his first few months with Jongdae.
Jongdae'd gifted it to him when they were roaming around in an almost-empty mall - Minseok hated crowds and had a lot of social anxieties, so he only ever wanted to go out on weekday mornings - and the plushie propped by the display window had caught Minseok's eye.
'Minnie?' Jongdae hummed, turning around as he felt a meek tug to his thumb that Minseok trapped in his hold. The hybrid's ears were flat against his skull as he stared at a pink cat plushie at a display window, his eyes flashing light blue very briefly.
'Do you want that, kit?' he softly asked, smiling when Minseok looked up at him with fluttering ears.
Minseok didn't say anything and looked at his feet quietly.
'You can say it, Minnie. I know you know how to speak.'
Hybrids weren't dumb - being part-human, they knew how to speak and could pick up on reading and other skills fast enough. But, crippled with anxiety, Minseok often found his jaws locked.
'Shall I buy that for you?'
A very tiny nod and a whimper, almost like Minseok was ashamed of himself for wanting something. Jongdae gently ran his fingers through the small hybrid's hair and guided him into the store.
'Kitty-Poo,' Minseok murmured, hugging the plush pillow to himself and smiling. Jongdae held his index and middle fingers out for Minseok to hold - it was an odd habit, but comforting for the hybrid - and they walked to a pastry stall nearby.
Kitty-poo became Minseok's best friend whenever he felt lonely. He'd hug it to sleep, keep it on his lap during meals, chew on its ears when nervous, cuddle it whenever he was happy, softly talk to it about his growing feelings for Jongdae... Kitty-poo was, a close second to Jongdae, Minseok's world.
So the day he couldn't find Kitty-poo anywhere on their queen-sized bed, Minseok panicked and went into a frenzy.
'Hel---'
'Jongdae,' Minseok sobbed hysterically, his breaths coming out rather hitched and strangled. Jongdae pressed his phone closer to his ear and called out to his lover, panicking when all he got in reply was more hysterical wails.
'Talk to me, baby,' he begged. 'Are you okay? Where--- breathe, Minseok. Breathe. Breathe with me, baby, you can do it.'
Lu Han, whose shift had just ended, came closer with concerned features and sat worried beside his best friend.
'I can't find Kitty-Poo anywhere!' Minseok sniffled, coughing a little from a scratchy throat.
'It's okay, baby, we'll find Kitty-Poo as soon as I get home. I promise,' the barista cooed. 'Did you look around?'
'Everywhere - the bath tub,
