"Isn't she the girl that's been talking with the Crown Prince lately?"
"She's not even that pretty-"
"On a scholarship, isn't she? The poor thing."
"Wait until Lady Roseline comes back, she'll show her back into her place where she belongs."
The sound of whispers and murmurings as she made her way to the library was becoming a common occurrence ever since she started her days as a student at Aisling Academy. There was a time where she would go up to their faces and tell them off but the difference in both status and power made her wary in case she spoke out of line. So, she keeps shut and her head down as she hurried her steps to meet her close friend.
"I need some new books," she placed the ones she had finished reading on the counter just as Milo turned to face her - she was always here during breaks between classes, after all, to get away from the snobby nobles, particularly those of the 'Rose Club'. The library wasn't always packed since people often borrowed the books and went on their way so she was always thankful for the small amount of people she had to deal with whenever she was there.
However, Milo doesn't respond to her right away as he always would have. Something was on his mind - she could easily tell from their years of close friendship. She waves her hand in front of him, breaking his train of thought.
"Milo?"
"Oh, sorry," he quickly picks up the books Dinah had placed on the counter, "I bet you enjoyed these, didn't you?"
"Of course, you always give the best books," she compliments and finally breaks into a smile, "You're the best person to come to for recommendations on books since you practically know all these books." She gestures to the entire library and all Milo can do is chuckle as he places the books into the pile that needed sorting later on.
"Let's find some new books for you, shall we?" he steps out from the counter and heads to the shelves of books with Dinah tagging along behind him.
