---

"Ms. Lim." Yuri entered the office, holding a file which she handed over to Yoona.

"Mr. Park is not as innocent as he appears. I've learned that he's been siphoning off employees' salaries and redirecting the funds into his personal account, citing issues with our sales."

Yoona raised an eyebrow as she examined the financial transactions detailing the extent of his theft. "He's currently in the private room," Yuri continued."He was attempting to flee in the parking lot, but my team managed to apprehend him and place him in the private room. He is—"

As Yuri was speaking, her phone rang making Yoona looked up from the files, taking in a deep breath. "I apologize for the interruptions, Ms. Lim. As I was saying, the total amount he embezzled from the company is substantial. It was enough to cover his debts, his children's tuition, and his family's expenses."

The phone rang again, and Yoona's patience waned. She raised her eyes in annoyance, meeting Yuri's bowing head. "Perhaps you should take that call outside my office to prevent further disruption to our conversation," Yoona suggested with a hint of irritation.

"I apologize, Ms. Lim," Yuri replied, bowing her head once more and leaving the room to take the call.

Minutes later, Yuri returned, prompting Yoona to stand up from her seat and grab her coat.

"I've read through all the information about his illegal activities. It's time for him to settle his debt."

Yuri apologized once again and followed Yoona to the elevator, where she pressed the button for the private room floor.

"Also, keep an eye on that new woman that Tyler just hired. She seems to have her own agenda. Ensure that she doesn't become an obstacle." Yuri nodded, assuring Yoona that she would handle the situation with Naeun.

The two remained in silence as the elevator ascended, the tension palpable. As the elevator doors opened, Yoona stepped out and walked down the hallway toward the private room. Yuri followed closely behind when her phone rang once again.

"Trouble in paradise?" Yoona quipped with a chuckle.

Yuri cleared , her expression serious. "No, Ms. Lim. It's not what you think—"

The loud ring of Yuri's phone interrupted her, and Yoona raised an eyebrow. Yuri swiftly silenced the call by pressing a button.

"Block that number if it isn't important," Yoona instructed, her annoyance evident.

Once inside the private room, Yoona found Mr. Park bound to a chair. She smirked as she addressed him, "I must say, it's not a lovely sight to see you here, Mr. Park." Yoona gestured to Yuri to bring her a glass of wine, and she took a sip while observing her captive.

"Please, spare me, President Lim," Mr. Park pleaded, tears in his eyes as he looked up at Yoona.

Yoona set down the glass of wine, crossing her arms as she stared at the men standing behind Mr. Park. "All five of you, take turns punching him," Yoona ordered, her voice cold and commanding.

Yuri's men approached Mr. Park, who begged for mercy as they carried out Yoona's command. The room filled with Mr. Park's cries of pain as he endured the punishment. Despite his pleas for forgiveness, Yoona remained unmoved.

As the ordeal continued, Yuri's phone rang once more. Frustration evident, Yoona sighed and looked at Yuri, who hesitated to answer. "I told you to block that number if it's not important,"

Yuri approached with the phone, explaining, "I believe this call is for you, Ms. Lim."

Curious, Yoona accepted the phone, surprised to see "Jennie Kim" on the caller ID.

"Why does Jennie Kim have your number?"

"I believe you put my number down as your contact information at the university, and Jennie Kim requested it from the office," Yuri explained.

"Clean the mess,"

Yuri nodded and began to move with her five men.

Yoona answered the call. "Hello?"

"Thank goodness it's your actual voice! Your cousin said you were busy and left your phone with her. What are you up to?"

Yoona was taken aback. Jennie was calling her directly. "How did you get my number, Jen?"

"I asked the principal and explained that we needed you for a project."

Amused, Yoona chuckled, realizing that she had inadvertently given out Yuri's number instead of her own. She couldn't help but imagine Yuri's annoyance. "Why did you call?"

There was a brief moment of silence before Yoona heard Jennie take a deep breath over the phone. "I miss you."

Yoona blinked in response, feeling a bit uncomfortable. "I miss you too."

"Really? If that's true, then why didn't you ask for my number when we were together?"

Yoona thought for a moment, trying to maintain her composed facade. "I was just enjoying our time together too much to think about it."

Jennie's voice grew softer, as if she was holding back excitement. "That... makes sense, I guess. Anyway, aren't you going to ask me out on a date?"

Yoona facepalmed at the question, her other hand massaging her temples. "What's on your mind, young lady?"

"I was thinking of going to a club later. My best friend Chahee invited me to celebrate her birthday there, and I think you should come with me."

Yoona sighed inwardly, realizing that this situation was getting even more complicated. "And how do you plan to explain who I am to Chahee and everyone else?"

Jennie chuckled lightly. "You're my new lover, of course and I need your attention, Yoona."

"Calm down, Jennie. This isn't appropriate. I'm your teacher, and it wouldn't be wise."

Yoona could almost hear Jennie rolling her eyes in response. "I'm pretty sure no one will recognize you there. You're new to the school, and people won't expect to see their teacher in a club. Can you pick me up and maybe give my parents some excuse?"

Yoona hesitated for a moment, contemplating the situation. She had to remind herself that Jennie was her last chance at achieving her mission.

"What time?"

The excitement in Jennie's voice was palpable. "At 10. I'll be waiting for you. And, oh, wear something red. I want us to look like a couple."

Yoona couldn't help but let out an internal sigh. "As you wish."

"See you later, baby~"

Yoona ended the call and rolled her eyes at being called "baby." She settled back in her chair, realizing that she had to prepare herself for an eventful night at the club.

"It will all be over soon," she muttered to herself, trying to calm her nerves. "Just let it happen and go smoothly."

Two hours later, Yoona stirred from her nap, blinking as she saw Yuri sitting in front of her, holding her phone.

"You scared me," Yoona mumbled as she rubbed her eyes and sat up, looking at Yuri with a puzzled expression. She inquired if something was amiss.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lim, but it's already 6 in the evening, and I assume you managed to get some rest despite the uncomfortable position," Yuri replied.

Yoona stretched her arms and took a deep breath, sipping water from the glass on her table. "Buy me a red leather jacket now."

"Pardon?" Yuri was taken aback by the abrupt request.

Rolling her eyes, Yoona recalled her conversation with Jennie. "I have a date with Jennie later, and she wants us to look like a couple by wearing red. It's ridiculous, right?" She shook her head and checked her phone for messages, relieved to find none.

"Should I go and buy it now, Ms. Lim?"

"Yes, and also please buy some white roses for Jessica."

Yuri nodded, taking note of the tasks. She bowed and said, "I'll be going now, Ms. Lim."

As Yuri left, Yoona decided to continue her nap. Hours later, she was roused from her sleep by Yuri's voice again. "Ms. Lim." Opening her eyes, she saw Yuri holding white roses and a paper bag.

"Deliver these to Jessica. After I put on this suit, I'll head to Jennie's place since it's quite a drive. If Jessica calls you asking about my whereabouts, just tell her we're out for drinks. Just make sure she doesn't get suspicious," Yoona instructed.

Yuri nodded in understanding, handing Yoona the paper bag. Before Yoona could leave, she called out Yuri's name. "We're almost there, so hang on." Yuri gave her a small smile and a bow before taking her leave.

Dressed in the outfit she had chosen, Yoona stood in front of a mirror, examining her reflection. She wore a black turtleneck, high-waisted black jeans, and her new red leather jacket. Furrowing her brows, she noticed a look of boredom on her face.

"Do you think you'll achieve your dream with that expression?" she murmured to herself before a smirk crossed her lips. Her confidence surged as she embraced her plan. "That's right. This is what I want." With determination, she left to pick up Jennie from her house.

---

Yoona was taken aback when she saw Jennie waiting outside her[Jennie] house upon her arrival. Stepping out of the car, she quickly made her way to Jennie, who was smiling brightly at her.

Jennie linked her arm with Yoona's and playfully dragged her towards the car. "Shouldn't I ask for your father's permission before we leave?" Yoona questioned, her confusion evident.

"No need for that. They've already given me permission for tonight. I told them I'm going out with you, and they immediately said yes. It seems like you already have my parents' blessing," Jennie teased, wiggling her brows cutely, causing Yoona to playfully roll her eyes.

"Anyway, get in."

As Yoona opened the car door for Jennie, the latter stood still, raising her brows and gazing at Yoona with an intrigued expression. Cocking an eyebrow, Yoona asked, "Is something wrong?"

Jennie scanned Yoona's appearance, eyeing her from head to toe.

"Aren't you going to tell me to change into something less revealing?" Jennie asked.

Yoona observed Jennie's outfit once more before meeting her eyes. "You look comfortable in what you're wearing, and I can honestly say that. So, there's no need for me to be overly protective. I actually want to show you off, so I love the dress you've chosen. And if anyone dares to say something negative about you, I won't hesitate to shut them down." Yoona's soft words were met with a faster heartbeat from Jennie and a deep blush on her cheeks.

Upon reaching the club, Yoona felt a wave of nausea as she looked around. "Is this the club you were talking about? I think there's been a mistake." She shook her head as she observed people in their mid-20s vomiting outside, others engaged in public displays of affection, and the overwhelming smell she despised. "I thought you had high standards."

Jennie sensed Yoona's discomfort but brushed it off. For her, the company mattered more than the venue, and she was determined to have fun with Yoona by her side.

"My standards changed when I met Jongin," Jennie admitted honestly.

Jongin wasn't as wealthy as Jennie; he was an average guy. He wasn't perfect like the standards she once had, but he worked hard and deeply cared for those he loved. Through Jongin, Jennie learned to appreciate simpler things in life, like enjoying a meal at an inexpensive restaurant. She never anticipated falling for someone like Jongin, as she had envisioned marrying someone who matched her previous standards. Yet, love had a way of breaking down those barriers and making her realize that the person she chose was more important than any preconceived notions.

"I see," Yoona responded, following Jennie into the club.

Worried that her comment about her ex-boyfriend Jongin had upset Yoona, Jennie surprised her by intertwining their hands, seeking to bridge the gap and reassure Yoona of her feelings.

"You look hot in that outfit," Jennie huskily remarked, winking at Yoona before she turned to search for her best friend.

Yoona couldn't help but smirk at the compliment, though she secretly wished she could already go back home, despite having just arrived.

"Jennie!"

"Chahee!"
