Her lips were so soft.

Jungkook wrapped his arm around kat's waist and brought her closer towards him making her gasp against his lips.

With his other hand jungkook pushed kat's hair behind her ear as he cupped her chee-

"Jungkook!!!!!"

Jungkook jerked at the scream of his name.

Looking around fastly jungkook took in his surroundings.

Firstly, he was sitting at the table kat was - had? Been sitting at, the sun was setting, it was probably around 6 or 7, and taehyung was standing over him with hoseok beside him.

And then it drained on him.

It was dream.

Him kissing kat was a dream.

"W-what's going on?"

Jungkook asked, looking down at the history book in front of him.

He must have fallen asleep when doing homework.

"The gang-"

"Please don't call us a gang."

"-is going out for pizza...the posse-"

"Oh ing lord."

"-wouldn't be complete without you jungkookie."

Staring at taehyung in disgust jungkook leaned away from him.

"I disown you taehyung."

"As do I."

"Hey!!!!!"

Jungkook was gonna do it today.

He was gonna ask kat out.

He had spent the whole night that he was awake thinking about it.

After that dream about kissing her jungkook knew it was time.

Sitting down at the table they always sit at in the cafeteria jungkook glanced over the table and frowned.

Taehyung, namjoon, and kat weren't there.

"Namjoon's helping one of his friends with English in the library, kat didn't come to school today, and taehyung is talking with the principal."

Seokjin said without jungkook having to ask where the others were.

"Why?"

Seokjin raised an eyebrow at jungkook's question.

"Why? For what? Why kat didn't come to school or why is taehyung talking to the principal?"

Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"Both."

"Kat had personal stuff to deal with."

Yoongi mumbled from beside him.

"And taehyung...well....he uh...i don't know. He just said it was really important and ran off."

Seokjin shrugged.

And that didn't put a good feeling in jungkook's stomach.

Taehyung was never secretive.

If it was important he would have told them or at least one of them.

Him not saying anything means it's not good.

"Something like this taehyung...."

"I've already planned everything out sir. My parents themselves said they'd help with watching over everyone."

The principal, Mr Yang, stared at taehyung for a moment before glancing back down at the paper in front of him.

"Why do you desire this?"

"Well sir, I'm friends with the American exchange student, kat, and she was talking about what proms are like and...i've become curious of the experience of them...and she talked about how she would like to go to one again, I thought it would be a nice surprise to not only her but other students that are like me and are curious."

Taehyung smiled brightly at Mr Yang, as if he wasn't lying to him.

With a sigh Mr Yang nodded.

"That is nice of you taehyung...well...okay then, we'll throw a prom, but only this one time!"

"Of course!!"

"You did what?" Hoseok gasped.

Taehyung smiled brightly, jumping up and down in excitement.

"I got the principal to agree to throwing a prom!!"

"How did you manage that?!"

"I'm one of the principles favorite student's."

Taehyung bragged proudly.

"Why did you do this?"

Yoongi asked, eyes narrowing at taehyung.

"When kat was talking about it it got me interested. Plus now kat can go since she never got to-"

"She doesn't want to."

Yoongi said, arms crossing over his chest.

And jungkook frowned.

He knew exactly why yoongi crossed his arms.

He's becoming defensive.

But why?

"Oh, I didn't know kat nedded you to make her decisions."

Taehyung smiled sweetly at yoongi.

"That's enough you two."

Seokjin suddenly snapped, glaring at them both.

Thankfully yoongi's phone dinged and that took his attention away from taehyung.

Glancing at it for a moment yoongi stood up from his seat and grabbed his backpack before sending a glare at taehyung.

"You better not force her to go."

Yoongi growled out at him before walking away.

And jungkook's frown deepened.

He understands wanting to protect a friend....but yoongi was taking it to another level.

He wanted to know why.

Jungkook tapped the desk he was sitting at in his room as he stared at his phone.

Who should he text first?

Kat, or yoongi?

Sighing jungkook grabbed his phone and went into yoongi's contact.

From; Jungkook.

To; Yoongi-hyung.

What's your relationship with kat?              Sent.

Chewing his lower lip in nervousness jungkook jumped when his phone went off.

                                                          From; Yoongi.

                                                          To; Jungkook.

                                                         Ask kat.         Received.

Sighing in irritation jungkook went into kat's contact.

But instead of texting her he called her.

After three rings she answered.

"Jungkook?"

Kat's small voice rang through from the other side of line.

"Kat i......i...uh..."

He didn't think this far ahead.

What was he supposed to say?

'I was just calling you because yoongi and taehyung almost got in a argument over you at school and I wanted to know why he was so protective over you.'

No, he probably shouldn't say that.

"Hmm...go out with me."

Well holy .

He just asked that.

He heard kat gasp from the other side.

"I uh i-i hmm what?"

Kat stuttered out.

"L-like a date maybe tomorrow?"

Jungkook stuttered this time.

It went silent and jungkook shifted in his seat in worry.

"I'm sorry jungkook..."

And jungkook's heart dropped.

"...but I'll be in the hospital tomorrow."

Now it was jungkook who went silent.

"O-oh are you okay?"

"I-i'm fine...my mother is having heart problems...she's going into surgery tomorrow."

And jungkook suddenly remembered back to when they went bowling and kat looked like she had been crying.

"Is....back when we all went to the bowling alley....were...had you been crying? Is that why?"

"Yes...i had been crying that day...my mother had a mini heart attack or silent heart attack that day."

That explains why yoongi was acting so protective over her today.

He probably knows she's going to the hospital tomorrow because of her mothers heart problems.

"I hope everything goes well tomorrow."

"Thank you jungkook."

"I......i know I've already asked this....and it's none of my business but.....what really is the relationship between you and yoongi?"

"We really are just friends jungkook. When we met it was at the back of the school and I was having a panic attack...my social anxiety got the best of me....yoongi...i really don't know how but he managed to calm me down. I don't make friends easily because of my social anxiety and neither does yoongi...i think that's what brought us close to be honest. I think he became protective over me maybe because my age and he saw me at such a vulnerable moment. We really don't have romantic feelings for each other."

And jungkook sighed in relief in his head.

"Is that so...? Well....hmm...i....kat can I ask you another question?"

"Sure."

"Do you like me?"

Kat gasped gently, and jungkook almost didn't hear it.

"Because I do."

Jungkook said honestly.

"Goodnight jungkook."

And the line went dead.
