Oh my god, he said it. He really did say it. Is he even sane? 

Gasps echo in the whole cafeteria. I mumble some incoherent words and lower my head in embarrassment. Now, I wonder what everyone will talk about me. I bet I’m going to be the topic of all the gossips now. Why did I even have to open my mouth, especially in that weird time? I shouldn’t have said it. Or maybe I should have said it at a better time like when we are alone. I should have just kept my feelings to myself. I had not expected Johnny to burst out like that. I thought this will be kept just between us friends.

Ugh, I’m getting nervous and awkward like hell. 

I am suddenly brought out of my thoughts when I feel something warm on my hand. Taeyong takes my hand in his and slowly rubs it. My eyes widen a bit at the sudden intimacy.

Oh my gosh, does he want me to go into a blushing maniac at school that too inside the cafeteria?
He gives me a soft, handsome smile that perfectly suits him. Okay, heart, keep still for a minute. Now is not the time to start running a marathon. 

Wait a min – Why is Taeyong so calm? Why am I the only one who’s blushing and getting all embarrassed? It’s like he is not minded by what Johnny had done. 

“You have always wanted this to happen right?” I ask. My eyes shyly land on his face. Gosh, he’s handsome. 

Taeyong give me a smirk. “Well, I have been crushing on you for more than 4 years. What do you expect?”

I don’t know if I should feel guilty or feel pity for him. 4 years? Is that even possible? That’s so long. And we had never even talked before. Now I suddenly feel bad. 

“About that, I have always wanted to ask –” before I can complete, he speaks up, “I’ll tell you some other time. Let’s eat for now.”

“Our new couple is in their own sweet world,” Nayeon coos eyeing us teasingly. 

My cheeks immediately goes hot and I look up only to see her, Johnny and Yuta giving me teasing look. Their expression wasn’t helping me with my blushing cheeks. 

“Stop teasing her. Let her eat in peace,” Taeyong states.

But instead, they keep teasing more. “The man is finally speaking,” Johnny utters. 

This is really not helping. 

“I – I am suddenly full. I’ll leave first,” saying that I stand up. I don’t know why I’m even embarrassed with their teasing. There’s no need to be shy. Nayeon is my best friend, and Johnny and Yuta are my friends, well not really, but they are Taeyong’s friends (which I have only uttered ‘yo' with them). Maybe it’s because this is the first time I got myself a boyfriend, not to mention the weird, awkward unromantic timing. 

Just as I am about to leave the table, someone grab my wrist, probably Taeyong. I look back. “I’ll come with you,” and there is this cooing and whooing from the three annoying friends. 

Taeyong shoots them a glare but that didn’t stop them. Pointless. 

I tug at his hand. “Let’s just leave,” I mumble. 

Ignoring them,  we left the cafeteria. His hand is still on my wrist and my heart isn’t even pitying me. 

Shortly after we left the cafeteria, we enter our classroom. There is no one in the class which is not really surprising since our class section doesn’t have that much studious student.
