question: is there a social hierarchy?
-- Yes there is a social hierarchy. Unfortunately because I'm a I forgot to add it in but anyways here it is:
HIGHEST TIER: Holy Emperor, the High Priestess
TOP TIER: Royal family inc. direct descendants of current Holy Emperor and the Holy Empress
> Sons and daughters of the current Holy Emperor
UPPER TIER: Relatives of the current Holy Emperor and other people who obtained titles (listed below from highest to lowest)
> Dukes and duchesses: Brothers and sisters of the current Holy Emperor
> Earls and ladies: Distant relations of the current Holy Emperor (related but not immediate family)
> Counselors of the Four Kingdoms
> Knights and dames: People granted the title due to their service towards the Holy Emperor
(e.g. Military, entertainment. Whomever the Holy Emperor has taken a liking or patronage to. This
may include former Chosen Ones if the Holy Emperor likes them)
> Religious people such as the seers and prophets of the East
MIDDLE TIER: Middle working-class people. Those who has occupations that require a certain level of skill. Includes the military
> South: businessmen, navy soldiers
> West: warriors, negotiators, healers
> North: soldiers, assassins, spies
> East: teachers, magicians, scholars, blacksmiths
LOWER TIER: The normal people who doesn't have a 'profession'. They are looked down upon sometimes, but are not discriminated against anything.
> Fishermen, hunters, gatherers
LOWEST TIER: Criminals and those who have committed offenses against the law. These are the people who are normally sent to the Outlying Lands.
