CHAPTER 3:

24 HOURS

“Welcome aboard you” 

My breath hitches as a tattooed woman welcomed us. I felt the guys hand on mines as he removed my arms that latched around his neck. Heat rose up my system as I noticed how close we are at each other— earlier when we’re about to fall into our deaths, I didn’t have time to think about our proximity. 

I swallowed a cold lump in my throat as his hands lingered longer on my skin. I schooled in his features and he doesn’t look bad— if anything, he can actually pass as a model— 

“As per the usual, the full payment has been wired to your account. I’ll take it from here.” The guy eyed me one last time as he began walking away. My chest heaves as the distance grew— I don’t even have his name yet— BUT WHY THE FCK WOULD I WANT TO KNOW HIS NAME? HE KIDNAPPED ME— but then he also didn’t let the Cyber Police get ahold of me— BUT THEN AGAIN— I’m standing inside the airship of the world’s largest underground network of cybercriminals and illegal dwellers. 

This is all too much... if I was a droid robot my system would’ve blown up already. 

“It’s nice to finally meet you, you. We’ve been expecting you,” the tattooed woman said with a smile on her face. I tried speaking up, but no words came. 

“This way, follow me.” She said as she gestured her arm on the right. As we walked, my eyes roamed around. There were other several people with us and their gaze were all piercing right through me— as if they want to gut me out alive. I stride my legs longer as I tried to catch up with the tattooed woman. 

“People have been wanting to see you— but not everyone wanted to see you alive” Shivers ran through my spine as she gave me another smile— how can she smile like that after informing me that some people wanted me dead? I tried returning her smile but ended up wincing as if I'm in deep pain.
