One Moment

One Moment

We pulled up towards his….lack of a better word, MANSION. I mean, Luhan oppa is smart, handsome, generous, and a gentleman. No one ever said he was rich! Just another thing to add to the “Luhan is Amazing” list. I doubt anyone at schools knows this about him though.

“Come on. Looks like my parents are home. I can’t wait for you to meet them.”

Wait…what? Meet…who?

I froze in my seat. There was no way I was ready to meet his parents. Date? Sure. Parents? Not so much.

“Are you gonna get out of the car or do I have to carry you in?” he asked with a knowing smile. I took a deep breath but still didn’t move. “It’s okay. I know they’ll love you. Who wouldn’t?”

After about a minute of stressing out on my part, Luhan oppa just went around the car and helped me out. “I promise. Everything will be okay. Don’t worry.” I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but sincerity. I pursed my lips in determination and followed him inside his…mansion.

A butler opened the door before oppa could even reach it. “Welcome home, young master. Your parents are in the kitchen if you would like to greet them.”

“Thanks, Mr. Kim. I will after I change. See ya in a bit.”

We climbed the long stairwell to his room. I stared at his room. There was no way I could’ve predicted how big it would be.

“Take a seat or look around. I’ll be back in a minute.” He left for what I assume to be the bathroom.

I looked around the room and saw a bookshelf. Now this is what I’m used to. Books were my friends. I grabbed the first book I saw and started to read. I got comfortable on his huge bed and began.

I was so into the book that I didn’t notice oppa entering the room an hour later.

Luhan oppa wrapped his arms around me and lifted me onto his lap. I felt his breath on my neck since he rested his head on my shoulder. “You better not find that book more interesting than me. I might have to divert your attention back in another way.” His smirk should really be illegal.

I quickly shook my head in denial. “I didn’t see you come in, oppa.”

“I tried to be sneaky just for this reason. You looked perfect reading in my bed. Now I don’t think I want to let you leave it. Just imagine it. We go to bed seeing each other. Then I wake up to your sleeping face. It would be perfect.” I melted a little just looking at him smile at me.

I replied shyly, “I don’t think my family would appreciate you kidnapping me.”

“ for them since it’s happening. Think about it. You wouldn’t have to do anything you didn’t want to do. I could feet you breakfast from bed. We wouldn’t even have to get up if we didn’t want to.”

I smiled at his imagination. “I’ll think about it. But don’t hold your breath.”

“I’ll take what I can get.”

I put the book on the side table and snuggled closer to him. I love these moments that keep occurring.

“LUHAN! WHY DIDN’T YOU COME AND GREET US!!!!” A woman burst in the door followed a man in a suit.

Oh, no. My arms were around his neck, and his hands were wrapped around my waist.  Luhan oppa’s forehead was pressed against mine, so I was almost cross eyed when I looked at him. This was not a pretty picture.

“Oh. Who’s this?” she asked.

I jumped as far from Luhan oppa as I could. Unfortunately, I fell of the bed doing it.

“Look what you did, Umma! You scared my girlfriend!” He peeked over the bed to look at me. “Are you okay, cutie?”

“Y-yes.” I quickly stood up to greet his parents. “Annyeong haseyo. My name is you. It’s nice to meet you.” I could not lift my head up to look at them to save my life.

“Oh, my goodness. She is so CUTE!” My head shot up in surprise. Well, I definitely didn’t expect this.

“She is a cutie, isn’t she.” His dad smiled reassuringly at me. “It’s nice to meet you. I see my son likes you a lot since you’re the first girl he’s brought home. Actually, I think you’re his first girlfriend, too.”

I looked at Luhan oppa to see that he was rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. “Appa, please. Don’t make me regret bringing her home to meet you.”

“You brought her home to meet us?! That means it is serious.” His mom jumped up and down, clapping her hands. She rushed over to me and hugged me. “Darling, you must start calling me Umma. I can already tell we’ll be close.”

“That means you have to start calling me Appa, too,” his dad said while hugging me.

I was completely surprised. I was expecting one of those drama-like reactions I saw on TV when the parents disapprove of the girlfriend. I figured they would think I was some…harlot after they found us in that position.

“Um, okay. Umma. Appa.”

His mom squealed. “You are ridiculously cute. I have to kidnap you for my own.” Now I see where Luhan oppa gets his silliness from.

“I know, right Umma? But she said she’ll have to think about it,” oppa pouted.

“Well, that just won’t due. We’re going to change the guest room across the hall, so it’ll be your room now. Right, yeobo?”

“Right, jagiya. There’s no use fighting it, sweetie. It will happen.” Okay, so he gets the silliness from both of his parents.
