I slammed the door right in front of oppa’s face and locked it before he could barge in. Taemin banged on the door and yelled, but I ignored him.
I turned around to see Luhan in the middle of my room smiling at me. I reached up to make sure my hair was still in place.
“Let me guess. Over protective brother?” I nodded, and he laughed. “He seems really nice.”
“He is. Taemin’s actually my twin.” Whoa. I couldn’t believe I let that slip. That was definitely a first for me. I thought I would pretty much keep that secret to my grave. I guess I was a real chatterbox when I had the chance to speak.
“Oh, I didn’t know that. I must have missed him around school or something.”
“He goes to school in America, actually. For dancing.”
“Really? That’s cool.” He paused before asking me the inevitable. “Are you okay?” I nodded quickly and hoped he would just let it go. Alas, Luhan was just like Taemin when it came to my problems.
“A little mortified, I guess. Actually a lot mortified. I didn’t think any of that could possibly have happened to me. It kinda feels like a dream. Or a nightmare actually.”
He nodded in understanding and walked towards me. I tensed but let him hold me. I finally relaxed after a few minutes and just enjoyed his warmth. I know it’s weird to say, but Luhan smelled so good. I put my arms around him and snuggled into his chest. Luhan was half a foot taller than me, so it felt like I was made perfectly to fit into his embrace.
Luhan slowly moved away to look at me but kept his arms in place. I looked at him through all my hair and noticed his serious gaze. “Is it alright if I look at you? I mean, really look at you.”
I hesitated before nodding. Slowly, he brought his hand up and gently pushed my hair away.
I blushed and quickly looked away. “No, don’t. Let me see.” I gathered all the courage I could even muster in this small body and gazed into his eyes. His face softened, and he smiled. “Hi, there,” he said softly.
I whispered back, “Hi.”
