Chapter 15: The Talk
Little Did I KnowJeongyeon's POV
I guess now was the time to finally talk to her and maybe get some closure.
As Jeongyeon and Nayeon were swinging back and forth, Jeongyeon stopped swinging and took a deep breath. Nayeon was just as nervous.
Jeongyeon began to talk first. She asked Nayeon if she had read everything in the letter and Nayeon said yes. Nayeon asked Jeongyeon if she meant everything she said in the letter. Jeongyeon paused for a second before saying yes.
Now, it was time to reveal the contents of the letter.
In the letter Jeongyeon had written to Nayeon:
"Dear Nayeon,
There are a few things I wanted to tell you. First off, I am sorry for leaving without a proper farewell. But I really need an escape. To be honest, I have been a train wreck. I've lost sight of myself. I thought maybe now if not ever I should tell you what's really in my heart. Im Nayeon, we've known each other for years. I have been in love with you since the day I met you. You were always my source of motivation, the light that pushed me to conquer my fears. I've never felt this way about anyone in my whole life. I thought I could remain this way forever because I knew you would never feel the same way. But, I can't keep lying to myself. I thought I could be happy just being by your side, but it's killing me to be around you and lock up these feelings I have for you. I want you to be happy and I want to find peace, so the first thing I can think of doing is escaping. I need to get away and heal and forget about you.
