The Night
Lost And FoundIt was now night.
The girls were all preparing to fall asleep as soon as they could.

[IRENE, WENDY AND SEULGI'S ROOM]
The room had one big bed. Big enough to fit three people within it.
Wendy and Irene slept on the two sides, with Seulgi in between.
They were all fast asleep.

[YERI AND JOY'S ROOM]
Joy had already fallen asleep.
Yeri, being the youngest and the most enthusiastic, faced some trouble falling asleep.
She stayed up and decided to be in bed, still a bit afraid due to the incident that took place that very evening.
She sat on the bed and stared at the empty wall opposite to her, as she heard the faint noise of the wind outside hitting the glass windows.
Sitting idle, she almost dozed off, when suddenly a noise awoke her.
She could hear footsteps outside.
Yeri clutched the bedsheet tightly and stayed put.
The footsteps stopped right outside their room.
There was silence.
Yeri grew more and more anxious.
Suddenly, she heard three soft knocks on the door.
Thinking it was one of the older girls, she said, "Come in."
No answer.
"Come in!"
Still no answer.
"I SAID COME IN!!!"
Silence.
That was it. Her patience had been tested for too long.
She now decided to open the door herself.
Yeri's heart was racing as she tiptoed forward, and took the doorknob in her grip.
She opened the door, again to find no one.
But wait! What was that?
A piece of paper, neatly folded?
She picked up the paper from the doorstep and looked around in the dark corridor.
There were no signs of any disturbance.
She went inside the room and turned the lights on.
Joy was still asleep, because she was, thankfully or not, a heavy sleeper.
She unfolded the paper slowly.
The paper had a few words written on it with... A lipstick?
The text seemed to be written with a dried out lipstick.
It definitely wasn't a colour pencil, because it had a soft texture and it came off whenever she rubbed her fingers against the text.
She smelled her fingers, it smelled like lipstick.
Indeed.
She took a careful view of the paper.
The text on the paper read,
LEAVE THE HOUSE
Yeri's hands shook and she dropped the paper on the floor.
She picked up the piece of paper, crumbled it in her hands, and threw it at the wall.
It hit the wall and fell on the ground.
Yeri hurriedly got on the bed next to Joy as she clutched the older girl tightly, her breath getting louder.

It was midnight.
Irene's sleep was disturbed by a few sounds inside the room.
She opened her eyes and turned to check for Seulgi.
But she wasn't there....?
Irene sat up and looked around the room to see whether Seulgi had been anywhere around or not.
Suddenly, she heard the flush go off in the toilet, as Seulgi stepped out while rubbing her eyes.
"Hey Irene," Seulgi smiled, sleepily.
Irene smiled back.
"Come back to bed," she told her and went off to sleep herself as well.
