Evening
Lost And FoundBy now, it was evening.
The surroundings were dark. There was no light on the street outside the main gate of the mansion.
The girls all gathered in Joy and Yeri's room for some quality time together.
"I wanted to spend time in the other room, it's larger," Yeri remarked.
"We can do that tomorrow. I just cleaned the room today so not now," replied Irene.
"Stop bickering," Wendy interrupted. "Let's share horror stories!"
"Oh my god yes! Me first!" Joy said, in an excited tone.
Seulgi suddenly let out a soft noise from , much like a frustrated groan.
"Do you need any help, Seulgi? Are you okay?" Irene instantly reached out.
Seulgi looked at Irene with watery eyes, almost as if she was about to cry.
Irene examined her expression and realized that she was uncomfortable.
Irene would never want Seulgi to feel out of place, from their trainee days. She always cared for Seulgi like she would care for a significant other.
She frowned a bit and suddenly spoke up, "Oh right! You wanna go to the toilet, right? Let me take you then."
Saying so, she grabbed Seulgi's hand and dragged her out of the room, shutting the door behind her as they left.
Irene and Seulgi entered their own room and Seulgi sat on the bed.
"I can't do this, I don't feel good. Can we go back tomorrow?" Seulgi asked as she took in deep breaths.
Irene felt anxious. She sat next to Seulgi and rubbed her back like a caring mother.
"I know you're scared, I get it," she explained, "but we just came here. And you know the kids, right? They won't leave that easily."
She paused in between to take a look at Seulgi.
She looked slightly less tense and her breathing was back to normal.
"But hey," Irene continued, "I told you I'll take care of you, didn't I? Trust me when I say so."
She held Seulgi's face in her hand and turned it towards her.
They both looked into each other's eyes.
"I will never leave you alone," Irene whispered and brought her face closer to Seulgi's.
Their faces were now 5 inches apart...
3 inches...
Less than 1 inch...
Right as their lips were about to meet, they heard the door open.
"Irene? Seulgi?" Wendy busted into the room.
Irene quickly moved her face away.
"What do you want?" she said, out of anger and partial embarrassment.
"Nothing. Carry on with your... Love life..." she teased Irene, "just get back to the room once you're done."
Wendy turned around and before leaving she uttered another "sorry to interrupt!"
Irene and Seulgi were obviously over the entire mood.
Nevertheless, Irene still wanted to make the moment happen.
She sat back in the same place and started leaning towards Seulgi.
Seulgi moved backwards.
"No," she said.
Irene felt disheartened at the sudden negative response.
Her eyes moved to the ground as she stood up.
Suddenly, Seulgi grabbed her hand.
"Can I tell you a secret, Irene?" she asked, innocently.
"Of course you can," Irene replied.
"You're the only one who I want to be with... Forever..." Seulgi said.
Irene felt her face heat up.
A warm, red hue ran across her cheeks and her hands turned cold.
"Okay," she said with an awkward laugh and ran out of the room, leaving Seulgi behind.

Irene was now back in the other room.
She came in and sat next to Wendy.
"Did you tell them everything?" she whispered into Wendy's ear.
Wendy shook her head. Irene gave a sigh of relief.
"Where's Seulgi?" Joy asked Irene.
"Bathroom...?" Irene replied back, not knowing what excuse to make.
The girls all went back to sharing their stories.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door of the room.
There was complete silence.
Everyone looked at each other.
"I think it's Seulgi," Wendy said.
The knock was heard again, but this time it was louder and stronger.
Irene gulped as she reached for the door handle.
She opened the door slowly.
But there was no one.
"Maybe we were just hallucinating?" Yeri said. But of course, she was just as scared as everyone else.
They heard footsteps coming from the direction of the staircase.
Irene hurriedly shut the door as her heart started beating loudly.
"I-I'm scared," she said, as a single drop of sweat trickled down her forehead.

The four girls sat close by.
The door now opened and everyone got taken aback.
Seulgi entered the room, looking blank.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Joy began, "Before you came in there was a-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Irene put her hand on top of Joy's mouth.
"Where were you all this while?" Irene asked Seulgi, sternly.
"I was in the washroom. I fell asleep by mistake," Seulgi laughed and replied. "Why?"
"Nothing," Irene replied.
"We all need to be very cautious. Look out for any danger," Irene warned everyone else.
