“Yuri… would you date someone like me?” Yoona asked out of the blue.

Yuri chuckled, “What kind of question is this?”

“You don’t need to answer”

“No, I’ll answer. You are a very sweet girl. You are beautiful and I’m not talking about your appearance. You really make me smile and laugh endlessly when you’re around so I would definitely date someone like you”

“Really?”

“Yes”

Hearing Yuri’s words made the girl feel more confident and a little hope knowing that someone would date a person like her.

“Would you date someone like me though?” Yuri asked back.

“Well I mean… Yes, I would” She responded hesitantly.

“Hmm, interesting”

“I’m saying someone like you though”

“Yeah yeah of course” Yuri chuckled, “I know you’re not like that”

Yoona stayed quiet but wanted to say something so the other end wouldn’t feel left out.

“So how was your day?” Yuri asked breaking the silence.

A few weeks later,

Yoona and Krystal were out at a restaurant after their class.

“Have you found me someone yet?”

Krystal rolled her eyes, “You’ve asked me the same question for the hundredth time now”

Yoona giggled, “I’m sorry”

“Aish, you’re so desperate”

“No I’m not”

“Yes you are”

“Well I don’t see why there’s a problem with you trying to help me find a boyfriend”

“I also don’t see why you even need a boyfriend”

“I just want someone to love me…”

“Yoona, I love you”

“But you don’t love me like that”

Krystal didn’t reply and secretly clenched her fist. The two continued to eat their food in silence.

“Hey Krystal” A familiar voice was heard.

Krystal looked up to see one of her friends.

“Oh hey Kai, what are you doing here?” She instantly smiled.

“I was waiting for my friend but he cancelled on me” He pouted.

“Here, why don’t you join us”

“I don’t want to bother you guys”

“Don’t even worry. You’re not a bother, right Yoona?”

Yoona looked dumbfounded, “N-No, please sit down”

Kai smiled, “So that's Yoona the girl you showed me”

Yoona blushed and had immediately looked at Krystal with concern.

“Yeah she is” Krystal tiredly said focusing on her food. She lost her appetite but made an effort to eat.

“Why do you seem so upset?” Kai asked.

“What? I’m not upset, just a bit tired” She lied.

“I’m sorry Yoona, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Kai” He reached his hand out offering a handshake.

“N-Nice to meet you, Kai, I’m Yoona” She accepted his hand.

“From the pictures, Krystal had shown me, you’re pretty cute”

, Yoona is going to find out... - Krystal thought as her ears were red.

Yoona had a confused look on her face and turned to Krystal who was not making eye contact with her.

“Thank you Kai” She gave an unsure smile.

“Mind if I have your number? I’d like to take you out sometime”

This made the latter smile even wider, “Really?”

“Yes,” He took out his phone and handed it out to the girl.

Yoona dialled her phone number onto the device and gave it back.

“Thank you”

After a lovely dinner with their unexpected guest, Kai dropped the girls off to the parking lot and proceeded on his day.

Inside Krystal’s car,

“You got some explaining to do” Yoona exclaimed furiously.

“I know”

Yoona began to go off on the latter, “Why did you lie to me?!”

“I-I just…”

“Do you know how much it disturbed me when you said he didn’t like me or that I wasn’t his type?”

“Yoona… I’m sorry…”

“Sorry?! I thought you were my friend but friends don’t lie to each other!”

Yoona noticed tears were leaving the latter’s eyes.

“Why are you so against me for having a boyfriend?” She didn’t even let the girl have a chance to speak, “Friends help each other when they need it”

More tears were running down Krystal’s face.

“Why aren’t you saying anything huh? You haven’t told me any of your reasoning”

Krystal finally hit the brakes, “Because I love you!” She shouted that immediately shut the latter up in shock.

“I was against you finding a boyfriend because I love you. I lied about the things he said because I love you!”

Yoona was speechless. Although she opened wanting to say something, only air was coming out.

“And it hurts, you know why? Because you love someone knowing they don’t love you back and you have no chance with them”

Krystal continued to drive when she knew Yoona wasn’t going to comment on her confession. The car ride was extremely awkward.

When they had reached to Yoona’s apartment, neither of them had said a word to each other as Yoona left
