Since Sungmin and Kyuhyun started to hang-out more by themselves, Donghae's with Hyukjae always. He tried to annoy Hyukjae and never kept his distance despite the fact that Hyukjae likes someone. And he was curious, really curious of the person Hyukjae will ask out in prom. He tried to be observant every time his friend is talking to their classmate even if he's feeling jealous when thinking about it. 

"So, who's the lucky person?" Donghae will always ask him every morning and he will just shrug with a smile as an answer. "Yah! Who is it? Who is it?" He would just laugh at the question. Donghae would whine but he would never answer Donghae's question instead, give him tacos or pastries to make him stop. And he'll succeed eventually when Donghae's changing the topic.

"Yah, Hyukjae." Donghae suddenly called him once they settled to eat by the rooftop. He hummed in response as he started eating on his bento box his sister made for him. "Do you think that the person you'll ask out will even say yes?" He scrunched his nose at the question yet instead of feeling offended, he smiled. "I don't know but maybe." He shrugged. Donghae kept silent for a while. "Do you mind if I ask if you'll ask out a guy or a girl? I mean, I do not mean to offend you but as a friend, I still don't know your preference and such..." "I don't mind the gender when I like someone. But I'll ask this certain guy who caught my interest for a while now..." Hyukjae said that made his eyes widen. He doesn't want to hope yet why would he have a sliver of hope when Hyukjae's beside him yet couldn't see him? He wanted to cry, but he tried to mask all of his feelings.
