Synchronicity - Requiem of The Paradise of Sun and Moon

The Fairy Tales of The Moon and Sun

Moonbyul was successful in her infiltration. It was time that she got some answers from this priestess.

As she sneaked through the giant corridors a vision of Solar made its way into her mind.

She was about to fulfill her task as a diva.
She was ready to sing for an eternity.
The voices of the past echoed within her and accompanied her as she sang the prayers for the world's future.

A history that had nowhere to go.
Repeating for eternity.
She dedicated herself to her fate.
Just as those before her.

A song for the sun.
A song for the moon.
Repeating itself in a gentle requiem.

Forever to sing the prayers of a dying world.
She succumbed to the other side.
She turned despair into a smile.
And drowned in her own tears of pain.

Wendy was slammed down in front of the priestess.
She knew everything.
But she didn't expect to get caught so fast.
The truth behind this artificial paradise.

Yet she couldn't tell no one.
The fate of an heretic was cruel.
Never to have a normal life.
On the run with nowhere to go.
So the relinquished herself to a life of imprisonment.

She could only see the grin on the priestess's face as she was taken away forever to be held in prison.

Moonbyul finally met who she sought out. Holding the sword to the priestess's throat. She demanded answers to secrets of the paradise of eclipse.
Suddenly a dagger flew at her and she was forced to parry it.
In front of her stood a knight clad in red. Her black hair somehow intensified her fierce look.

That was the last thing Moonbyul wanted.
To fight someone like her.

They engaged in a vicious sword fight.
They were on equal footing but Moonbyul soon got tired.
In a matter of time, Moonbyul was overwhelmed by the much more experienced knight.

Collecting her strength she rushed at the knight.
With a final attack full off determination.

She won't go down until she is with Solar again!

Hwasa suddenly had a flashback. It was the same determined look her friend had when she offered herself to be the diva when she would be the one to be a diva.

With a swift motion she unarmed the woman in front of her throwing her to the ground and pointed her sword at her neck.

Yet she hesitated. Even with the command of the priestess.
When she first joined the order she hoped to protect Wheein.
From any danger that might come her way.

They made a promise that they would be always together no matter what.
A promise to protect each other even if its cost their life.
A promise of everlasting happiness and comfort.

But a new diva was chosen.
It wasn't even five years.
She hoped that things would have gone different.
That she could get out alive.

But through Wendy.
She learned everything.
From past to present.
From present to future.
The fate that awaited the divas.

Her anger built up as she remembered the smile Wheein gave her when she went away.
Leaving her behind.

For the sake of the world.
And especially yours.
I love you with all my heart, Hwasa.
Stay safe.

Turning her blade against the priestess she was about to strike her down.
But another unknown soldier separated them.

Irene knocked open the door of Wendy's prison.
Wendy of course was in shock seeing her bestfriend there.

Irene gave a quick summary of what was happening.
Wendy paid her full attention deciding to join the two rebels on their quest.

The four formed a team to bring an end to this miserable illusion of a perfect paradise.

On their travel across the paradise drowning in despair.
She sought out for the voice lost in distortion and despair.

They were deemed heretics.
They were hunted.
Always on the run.

Moonbyul sometimes questioned herself.
Her decision to set out on this quest.
A life where everyone hated them.
A life where she had to kill.
A life where she threw away everything for her.

For her.
She was suffering.
She could feel it.
Yet she didn't understood why she would go such length to do so.
She just had the sun.
Without the moon.
She would just kill herself.
In a slow and painful way.
But she would make sure that won't ever happen again.
The warmth of her voice
She would make sure of that with her very own hands.
With no care for herself.

They finally arrived.
At the lair of the dragon.
It was now or never.

The guardian turned around as the group approached.
She questioned why we were on this holy ground.

To reclaim that is rightfully ours.

I see.

With a motion of her hand she summoned creatures out of nothing.
Hwasa told me to push through while the three of them keep these creatures at bay.
Moonbyul did so.
Slicing through the shadows.
She made her way to the altar.
Facing the guardian.

Moonbyul rushed at the guardian and swung her sword.
The guardian blocked the attack.
Both struggled to throw each other off.
Locking each other in a continuous fight.

Suddenly the guardian leaned in and gave Moonbyul a sweet kiss.
Moonbyul was confused and lowered her guard for a few seconds.
The Guardian used that time window and bashed her staff at Moonbyul's head.
She released a powerful shockwave that sent Moonbyul flying back down the stairs.

Her vision was blurred.
Blood covered her right side of the face.
She lay on the ground.
Barely conscious.
To her horror she witness her companion fall one after another.
Lifelessly remaining on the ground.

Weapons broken.

Armor pierced.

Covered in blood.

She gritted her teeth as she out.

Solar...

She found herself in a white space.

Where am I?

A hand reached out to her.
Moonbyul turned and grabbed the hand.
Letting herself pulled back on her feet.
Shocked she saw the person in front of her.

She gave the injured friend a small smile.

Byulyi...

Yongsun...

A prayer to protect this bright world.

A prayer to put everything to an end.

A place where everyone can smile brightly.

I saw you crying in your loneliness and despair.

I sing for the light of hope that shines for the future.

I sing a song of despair and shadow to bury the past

I will gladly give my life away and sing til I can't anymore.

My voice will declare the end of the paradise that surely will come.

Until the day I die, this song will continue just like the rising of the sun.

Until the day I die, this song will continue just like the rising of the moon.

History repeats itself

Moonbyul quickly opened her eyes.
She rose to her feet.
The Guardian shocked.

I won't die. Not now! I will bring her back.
Moonbyul looked straight at the mask.
The light of the sun blends into the shadow of the moon.
I'll break this circle of life and death.
This endless requiem.

The Guardian had to say that the emotion in that woman's eyes were undeniable strong.
That was something that scared her.
Summoning another shadow she sent it against the wounded woman.

Moonbyul didn't cared.
Feeling Solar besides her she emitted a shockwave herself.
Ripping through the creature and dissolve it into nothing.

Moonbyul formed a blade out of invisible moon energy.
I am the voice that brings an end to this paradise.

The Guardian started to panic.
No one ever stood up to her summonings.
And none ever beat one or completely destroy it.

Before she could do anything more.
Her mask shattered.
She was overwhelmed by her own emotion.
All her memories coming back at once.
But this one memory.

Seulgi...Do you know what I admire about you?
Clueless like always Seulgi shook her head.
You're so carefree and bubbly yet so independent and strong.

Seulgi understood now.
Yeri was a dragon raised by very strict parents.
Giving her no freedom what so ever.
While she was raised as an independent and strong dragon by her parents.

I hope someday I can be like you!
Free like a dragon that spread its wings.
Flying high above the earth.
Until then. Stay that way you cuddly bear you are.

The clearness.
The chains finally broken.

Tears were flowing.
Tears of happiness.

Thank you unknown one.
Yeri...I'll join you soon.

That was her last thoughts when she collapsed to the ground.
Her heart fading with her.

Moonbyul pushed forward.
Approaching the ledge.
She pushed herself one more time.
She jumped.

Reaching out for the light that was her sun.
The other half of her.

With a smile she grabbed her hand.
Finally meeting each other again.
Sealing their life with their first and only kiss.

With the sun and moon united
They brought an end to the requiem.
The circle of sacrifice and death.

As the story of sun and moon
Meets its end.

As all life will end and grow back again.
They will surely meet each other again.

Instead of updating my other story I decided to finalize the trilogy...or not so anymore. I like the third part of Synchronicity but it feels so strange...I don't know. But I decided to make a two part.
But that is it for this one. Next time I will make the story behind the Tanabata. So look forward to it.

Like always I hope you enjoyed this chapter, drop a comment down below if you like and have a good day/night.

Hwasa: Wow...that was tragic. I thought you don't want to write tragic endings?
Wheein: This story calls for one. Although I really don't want to.
Hwasa: But you still did it well. But why only two parts?
Wheein: Disliked the cliffhanger of the third one.
Hwasa: This didn't resolved the story either.
Wheein: I AM THE AUTHOR!

Like this story? Give it an Upvote!
