"Zeus, you mean King of the gods Zeus," I breathe out, stunned from his admission, 

"That's me" He chuckled nervously.

"The king of the Gods has just marked me and now you're saying there's going to be more"

"If anything I've managed to make the attraction to you a thousand times stronger, the higher ranking gods will make it more likely that you'll stumble across another one of us, but considering the current ones that you have you're 2 out of 3 for the strongest of us. Poseidon always likes to be flash with his marks doesn't he."

"So you're saying that you're what people call Zeus when I think of him I wouldn't have expected you to look so ya know. Young." Freya said, "I mean I'm not saying this isn't a good look for you I'd just expect someone who's been in myths for thousands of years to look older than their late 20's."

"What can I say Freya, as an all-powerful god you'd think we have the ability to stay youthful for as long as we'd like," He mused. "But the fact that that was your biggest take away from that is adorable."

"Where am I meant to go from here then, No offense to you all but I don't know any of you very well and you're expecting me to what just accept all the other people that come forward to bind to me without any choice of my own" 

"What I think you should be taking away from this that your life is going to have to change, being part of our world is something most people can only dream of and you're living it."

It's like you're meant to be here though, with me- no us."He smiled as the rain eased off to only a trickle. " Get to know me and you'll get to know that I'm not that bad I promise. Give me as long as you have left here and I'm sure I can convince you" His fingers brushed up and down my forearms waiting for an answer.

"Fine, I mean I can imagine it's not easy to get away from a God anyways," He chuckled and kissed my forehead before detaching himself from me.

I woke up in the thin cold sheets of the hotel bed, the sun was already pouring into my room through the small split between the two curtains. What even is this life of mine, cause its sure as hell feeling like a joke at the moment, to be honest.
