THE BROWN EYED MODEL“Are you sure this is the right town?” asked Jiyong to Yoo In Na when they reached the arched of Busan. He didn’t let In Na informed Jaejoong of their arrival. If Sandara is there, he doesn’t want to give her a chance to hide.
“I’ve been here, Ji. I’ve met her mother, a retired teacher. Mama Tae Hee should have been in the party but she was attacked by a nervous breakdown, that’s why you and Jae arrived in the same time that night.” In Na creased her forehead after, “Why would we search Sandara in Jaejoong’s house?”
Jiyong heaved a deep sigh. He cannot answer that question too. But he has an idea that Jaejoong can answer that.
“You love her, don’t you?” In Na asked after a while.
He glanced at her. “Yes. I love her, In Na. I’m sorry but what happened two years ago between her and Jung Ji- Hoon was--”
In Na shook her head. “No, Ji. It wasn’t Sandara’s fault. When Ji Hoon didn’t let me attend the party, I was worried. For a few days, he kept on talking about Sandara Park. That was the reason why I called you to accompany me in their mansion…”
Jiyong glanced at her before looking back on the road. “What are you talking about, In Na?”
“I had an idea that Ji Hoon mixed a drug on Sandara’s wine.”
“What!” he turned his head quickly at his cousin. ‘Someone drugged my wine, Ji…’
Sandara was telling the truth! His anger almost overpowered him. “And you let us believed that Sandara broke your engagement? And you let the whole world believed that she was a tramp?”
In Na shivered. She had never seen Jiyong this angry. “P-please pull over,” she said frighteningly. “We might get into accidents…Let me explain.”
Jiyong harshly pulled over his sportscar aside. If not for the seatbelt, In Na would probably smash directly in to the dash board.
“It had better be good, In Na, or you’ll—”
“Oh, Ji, please, don’t scare me,” she said fearfully. “I’m sorry I didn’t say anything about it during that time.” She sobbed. “Ji- Hoon did to me what he did to Sandara too…”
“What do you mean?” the dangerous tone made In Na cringe.
“I was so helpless, Ji. I couldn’t tell the family. I was so ashamed of myself because I gave him the chance to do that to me. I show him motives. I really had a crush on him during those times. And it was too late to do the right thing. I threatened to use family connection if he didn’t marry me.
“He knew our grandfather had friends that could ruin his career. He talked to omma and offered marriage. That was my second mistake, it made him so angry he wanted to physically hurt me but couldn’t because everyone will see it. He dated other women, right infront of me. Then he introduced me to drugs.”
Jiyong swore savagely.
“That night, I… I tried to warn Sandara. We had started to like each other already. I knew she wasn’t like me. She won’t show any motives to any guys. It was easy for her to shoo them away. But she was helpless to Jung Ji- Hoon because she had no idea of his plan…
When we arrived in the mansion, we were too late. And I couldn’t reveal the truth without exposing my weaknesses…my own shamefulness. So I let everyone believed she was to blame. I got hook with drugs all the more because I felt so guilty.” She cried continuously.
She blew on the tissue and wiped her tears. “I know Sandara was strong and could take care of herself. She really did make it despite the nasty rumors. It made her so famous some of the guilt was taken off me.” She looked up to him after. “I’m so sorry, Ji. I’m so sorry.”
Jiyong for awhile didn't utter anything and just stared at her for a while before he grabbed his cousin for a hug. “Hush... If not for you, Sandara would probably be in harm…”
In Na straightened at that statement. “What do you mean?”
“We weren’t late that night.”
Her eyes grew wide. “H-how did you
