Judge: Members of the jury, you have heard all of the testimony concerning this case. It is now up to you to determine the facts. You and you alone, are the judges of the fact. Once you decide what facts the evidence proves, you must then apply The Law.

According to Article 250(1) of the Criminal Act (형법), “Murder” is a crime for which the defendant/s could even face the death penalty or life imprisonment. An attempt to commit this crime is also punishable (Article 254). Preparations and conspiracies with intent to commit this crime are also punishable (Article 255). In order to qualify as “Murder”:

1.) A person has to kill another person

2.) With the intent to commit “Murder.”

The intent to commit “Murder” includes intent in the form of dolus eventualis (미필적 고의). Dolus eventualis refers to a form of intent where the perpetrator objectively foresees the possibility of his or her act causing death and yet persists regardless of the consequences. This can be inferred from the perpetrator’s conduct in the light of the surrounding circumstances. 

So if Defendant no. 1 Lee Seunghyun, or Defendant no. 2 Choi Seunghyun, or Defendant no. 3 Dong Youngbae, or Defendant no. 4 Kang Daesung, or Defendant no. 5 Kwon Jiyong, or all, unlawfully contributed in the form of dolus eventualis to the extreme emotional distress to Mr. Park Sanghyun that leads to his decision to commit suicide then the Defendants are liable to the victim's decision to end his life, then you may find all the defendants guilty of Murder, if you find beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendants contributed to Mr. Park Sanghyun's death.

Bailiff, please give the jury five minutes to deliberate.

Bailiff: Yes Judge.

The Jurors left the room to deliberate, the courtroom is in dead silence. All are waiting anxiously for the jurors. Upon their return:

Judge: Have you reached a verdict?

Jury Foreperson: We have, your Honor.

Judge: Will the defendants please stand.

It is noticeable that four out of the five defendants obeyed and stood up and stands up with their lawyers. But the other defendant sitting on the middle of the group didn't even bother to flinch. He was just sitting there. Not caring.

The judge lets him.

Judge: You may read the verdict.

Foreperson: We the jury, in the case of The Park Family versus Mr. Lee Seunghyun, Mr. Choi Seunghyun, Mr. Dong Youngbae, Mr. Kang Daesung, and Mr. Kwon Jiyong, find the defendants NOT GUILTY of the charge of murder of Mr. Park Sanghyun. Mr. Park took his own life on his own will. It's ruled out suicide.

"Nooooooo!!!" 

Two women crying No can be barely heard across the courtroom as it is overpowered by the loud cheers and claps from the defendants' team.

Judge: Thank you, Jury, for your service today. Court is adjourned. 

Not Guilty.

There is another woman standing outside the courtroom. She heard the verdict as well. She heard it all. She gritted at this. She, too, cannot believe the outcome of the case. But deep inside her tells her, already warned her, that this is what's gonna happen. She should have expected it.

She was just standing there, frozen. She couldn't even bring herself to step inside and console her crying mother and sister. She is shocked. But she could still hear her family sobbing and faint cries of 'No'.

Her brother's death is ruled out a suicide. The authorities claimed her dear brother Sanghyun took his own life.

This statement alone is an insult to him. Insult to the life and family he left behind. They will never get over this. It's a lie. It's not a suicide but murder.

How could they?!

She was angry. She was beyond enrage. She felt like she can hurt anyone...like that very moment. And all of those who had hurt her brother is in one place, inside that room. If only...if only, she could end their lives easily like how they did to her brother.

The door opened, she looked up, and it revealed the very people who had hurt her brother. The reason why her brother took his own life... it is because of them. Because of them, her brother is no longer here.

'They're too powerful. They own the town.' Bowing her head, rage in her eyes, she is ready to attack.

Someone bumped her shoulder. He didn't even stop nor apologize to her. He barely side glanced at her too, a frowning boredom on his face, before he resumed playing with his Nintendo switch.

This is Kwon Jiyong aka G-dragon. The leader of the group. Also, the leader of the fraternity in the school where her dead brother used to go. Kwon Jiyong's family connections knows no boundaries in this town. He is also known as the guy who has all the luck in the world. She didn't understand how but she heard this guy gets away with everything. Thanks to his family huge in politics. 

Also, this is the person who was mainly behind to all the sufferings her brother had to endure when he was alive. 

Sandara knows him. She had to know them all. She knows them too well now after the tragedy.

"Move." 

A cold voice.

Sandara recognizes the owner of the voice as well. Choi Seunghyun aka TOP of the group. His family rules the town. His family is in the police force for centuries. Supposed to be the protector of the town, but Sandara knows his family has dark secrets and connections to the underground world too.

The other three, Dong Youngbae, Kang Daesung, and Lee Seunghyun, are also equally connected in this Madtown. This group is influential in this town that they can do everything they want and get away with it. They can even sway the justice system on their side. 

They high five each other before they crowded Kwon Jiyong and looked over his shoulder to watch him play.

Then they left.

But Sandara was still standing there. Planted on her feet. It was easy to say she can kill them right here, right now, but it's entirely different when you get to face to face with them. 

She became...scared, shaking even. And she is surprised by this. She thought she can run to them and hurt them right there but no...

The five guys' presence is intimidating. It intimidated her. Scared her. Kept her heart beating faster.

But still...one thing is for sure, one thing is certain.

They might have won today... but what they missed is, this time, they messed with the wrong person.

Her heart is burning with rage and sorrow inside.

"I, Sandara Park, sister of Park Sanghyun, vowed to avenge the death of my brother." 

She promised this on his grave. She won't let his life even after his death ending just like this. She will give her brother's death in to justice. In her own hands. 

And she won't make it easy for them. She wouldn't just take revenge. She would go after each of them. She would tear them apart, piece by piece, body and spirit. There won't be no room to escape even if they beg her to stop. She would let them have the same experience, or even worst, of what they did to her brother.

She will break them. She will make them pay for what they did.

And even IF they finally ask for forgiveness, she won't stop there.
